The first climb you did was ringing Rodger Grindsbrook Knoll on the other side, great energy, and your videos are really good to encourage people to the peaks. Well done.
Kerry I love your neverending optimism. Despite hauling storm outside you' re still laughing about. Hope next time you´re successfull in completing the CWT. My goal is to make it in September 2026 - the first thing when getting retirering. Problem is the long way to Fort William, because I live in bavaria 🙂
You seem genuinely mellow and fun. How was the trip? First time came across your channel. Had I seen this video at the time of broadcast I would have definitely given you some key tips. I am sure you realised quickly in the jungle that no matter what you do (many shoes, rain jacket, etc) you are always going to be wet.
That storm was unseasonably harsh, though it can happen the weather can be lovely at that time. I've been soaked through and the risk of hypothermia is much higher. Its also possible to get bad colds and so making it to safety made sense. That's just the luck when your that far north if all goes well vs when it's sketchy.
Love your energy ! Arran next on the list. Been doing sections of the Ayshire coastal path this weekend. Defintely empathise with teh easy going and harder going parts. Scrambling up a sandstone cliff south of Dunure to avoid high tide was one of our harder bits :) x
In the video you say that there are 2 long stay car parks in Bakewell, can you leave the car there for 3 days and pay for the 3 days? I am planning on doing the walk next week. A great video!
Don't know about the universe helping you out there! Anyway love Aarran and camped right opposite where you passe by the holy Island. God bless Psalm.19 :1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, 5Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. 6His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. 7The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 8The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. 10More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. 12Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. 13Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. 14Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
hi ladies, seems i am a tad late to the party but like your vids so subscribed,so whats the story here, best friends or as i suspect your together, either way you both seem like fun, cheers, shooter 😉
Thanks thr memories came flooding back, I grew up in Leysdown, as a child aged 5 i could not get lost, I wondered of from my family, I walked around for a bit , found a small police station went in told them what was wrong, they kept me entertained, they went looking for my family 10 or 20 mins later my two big sisters came in , all in all I had great adventure .thanks Leysdown police I'm now 65 with cancer but with a joyful memorie that will still last until my lord calls me home 😊 THANKS
Cracking route isn't it 👍 I walked it the other way around at the end of July. I'd camped at The Falls of Tarf earlier in the year so I walked on to camp at the Bynack Lodge ruins (about a mile south of Red House Bothy). The Falls of Tarf is a lovely spot though. I made a boo boo the second day, I visited Corrour Bothy to use "the facilities." After some thought I decided not to camp there ... oops. So I found myself pitching up in Rothiemurchus at 10pm 😢 You live and learn 😂 Aviemore train station was a welcome sight 😅
Hi, we're just about to purchase our tickets for the weekend when we noticed it has moved to a new location, where is the parking for the campers ( I am disabled) the field looks very uneven in the film. Cheers.
Been all round the island playing golf and drinking im some of the pubs. Nice to see it from a different perspective and such an entertaining video ss well. The view from up high on the golf course at Blackwaterfoot is stunning. Such as shame you werent able to walk the north west side of the island. Great stuff ..keep on dancing ..
Hi kerry, really enjoyed watching another of your videos., but I gotta say, I have never ever seen anyone with as much kit on the outside of their pack than Claire. My god I can see the tent and what looks like the sleeping bag on the outside, makes me wonder just what she has on the inside. Good job it didn't rain much and that sleeping bag get wet
Love your videos Kerry... Well done tbh that did look a tough hike at parts. What about the West Island way.. it's a small hike round the isle of Bute can be done max 3days. Would love to see you do the West Highland way again since you had to do it in two parts before. It's just the best hike.
An armchair expert writes: I think your camping pitch at glen sannox could have been fatal. One thunderstorm and/ or a high tide, and it’s goodnight Vienna… Best of luck🙏🙏🙏
🙈 it was our own fault, we knew high tide was coming in the morning and had set our alarms .. but we checked too early and it looked fine so went back to bed … luckily the water only creeped up slowly so we were able to move our tents out the way and pack down in time
