This video was filmed at 2:02PM. CDT at Crab Orchard Lake just east of Carbondale, Illinois, during complete totality of the April 8th, 2024 Total Solar Eclipse, which started at 1:Ƽ9PM. CDT at this location, and elapsed a totality duration time of 4 minutes, 9 seconds here; only 19 seconds less than the 4 minutes 28 seconds of Maximum Eclipse experienced in central Mexico during the umbral stratomedian. Thousands and thousands of people total were positioned on and around Crab Orchard Lake alone, residing directly south of my location on the bridge at a normally designated firework shooting area with year-round usage there on the lake. However, only me and one other dude with a couple fountains/gerbs were the only individuals who thought to light some fuses during the majestically ethereal yet fugaciously ephemeral moments of totality. People were clapping, cheering, screaming, howling, and whistling, just like my extreme whistle rockets. None of them could have expected my tribute to the Eclipse, and everyone who was there with definitive certainty are definitely NEVER, EVER going to forget this day, as will I likewise. In the name of the Sun and Moon, may we be eternity grateful for the celestial lights above, to whom we owe much respect and honor. Until next time, always remember to raise your eyes skyward, never taking for granted the beauty of our place in this vast, resplendent, chaotic yet orderly, and mystical universe we call Our Home.
