By the late 1960s, rock music was dominant. Traditional singers like Tony Bennett and Julie Andrews struggled to find a place on the charts while the careers of many artists like Henry Mancini and Andre Previn came to a stand still.
The Ed Sullivan Orchestra and Chorus has recorded several different albums around this time - this track came from the 1967 full length album "Ed Sullivan Presents Music of Christmas". Despite having comments from Ed and lush music, this album sold fair to poor. The times were a-changin'.
