If you pause at any point, please run it back to give all the females their due. You cut off Maya's verse with a pause and then didn't run it back to really listen. Her flow, clarity and lyricism were fire. Jurin's punch lines were actually the most clever, in my opinion. The rap line is all top tier and even the vocal line killed the rap on this one! Many seem to focus on Cocona as "the best" on each song because of her strong presence and voice rather than judging her bar for bar, cadence for cadence, flow for flow with the other's.

Hello friends, glad you reacted to our girls :) Let me provide some info for you and for your followers. This is a 7-member(ages 18-22) Japanese global girl group ( 4 rappers and 3 vocalists but they all can do it all ). They operate in both Korea and Japan but they are not a K-pop group, they almost always sing in English. They can speak Japanese, Korean and English and English is their 3rd language. They mostly do Rap and R&B stuff but they are really versatile, you will see all kinds of songs from them. These girls have bars actually. COWBOY REACTS has a 35-minute breakdown video on this song and has another 1-hour video of him breaking down GALZ XYPHER which is the rap song XG blew up :D Other reactors have breakdowns of their other rap songs, especially the TAPE's, in which they use the beats of "known" songs and sing their own lyrics. They pay homage to OG's and show respect all the time. They have tons of references etc. They are basically a shape-shifting alien wolf pack from another galaxy and they have a lore. The eye thing was always prominent in XG music videos. You can see them keep changing and evolving etc. You'll if you watch all their music videos. "Shooting Star" tells the story of them wanting to shoot off into the Stars to achieve their dreams. "Left Right" shows them travelling across the galaxies. "HESONOO&X-GENE" is them awakening from hibernation before reaching Earth. "GRL GVNG" is XG's arrival on Earth. "TGIF" is their evolution commencing on the planet. "New Dance" is them exploring their new environments ETC. ETC. WOKE UP is kinda like them taking over or getting ready to take over. Their different songs/MV's represent different ERA's of their arrival to Earth ( not Earth per se but planets in general I assume ) and taking over. You can check the zoomed-in eye shots in these MV's and see the differences. They used those eye thingies in other songs like Shooting Star as well. I am not 100% sure what eye represents but my interpretation is that it shows their evolution or it basically shows they are aliens in a cool and visually pleasing way. I am sure they have a more detailed lore but we as the fans don't know much details yet. They also have tons of references and easter eggs in the videos. For example, in the first Maya verse, it is like a court scene and Maya says "I'm the judge and jury" and she is addressing the "haters". There are people around in wolf-heads who are the witnesses ( which are the fans - their fandom name is Alphaz, WE are the witnesses ) and a guy is being judged with the upper half of his head missing. He represents the haters so they are no-brain, only talk. Also, you can see there is a building at the start and at the end and, a guy approaches it. He is the CEO of XG's label. Basically, he is XG's boss, but in the video, he is their commander. So while Maya taking the haters to the court, the other girls are coming in from the multiverse to attack the haters' """"head-quarters"""". You can see in the end it is in the shape of a head. It also blows up, so it means they take down the haters but it can also mean, after you finish watching the video, your minds are blown. EXTRA : Cocona shaving her head can be interpreted in multiple ways. Saying F U to the beauty standards of the industry? Also, XG got some shade because of their outfits, hair styles, lyrics etc. ( Coco had braids for a lil while, so basically saying here, I cut all off, what now ? ) saying that they appropriate black culture ( they actually don't, they love the culture and they pay homage all the time. They don't pretend, they grew up with those songs, and their inspirations are the biggest old-school R&B, hip-hop, and rap artists mostly from the USA, they sing their songs, they use their beats, they shoutout and everything ) also, it appears she already did that when she was younger and wanted to do it again. The label didn't want her to until now since it fits the concept and MV so she did it in this MV. That can mean a lot of things but it's a bold move either way and it is fun, it is swaggy and it suits her personality. She is one of the swaggiest , coolest people I have ever seen. If I make Spanish Yé-yé music based in Korea, does it make it K-pop ? If someone from an African country makes a traditional African Music living in Canada, does it make it Canadian Pop ? Most of their songs have American writers, American producers, American mix mastering engineers and sound engineers. They sing in English. However, I don't see any American trying to make XG American Pop. They don't even cater to the Korean public. They said it themselves that they cater to an international audience. People trying to "force" them into K-pop, doesn't make them K-pop. XGALX specifically said they’re focussing on catering to an international audience. K-pop groups cater first to domestic audiences,international audiences are just an added bonus. XG trained primarily in Japan- their docuseries showed them going to Korea on short trips but working mostly in Japan. Which PROVES that they are not trained in the K-pop industry. They literally have a documentary lol. They were trained by AVEX Japan trainers. Even most of their songs does not sound similar to K-pop music. Also, they do multiple genres of music,literally. They have rap songs,ballad songs,pop songs, R&B songs, you choose. It is REALLY hard to understand why some people try to push them into K-pop category. Which K-pop group makes R&B ? They were trained by Japanese and American trainers, their “especially” first songs were produced by Americans. They have Japanese and American writers in most of their songs. They have American sound engineers, mix mastering engineers. They have American choreographers. On what base they are K-pop exactly ? They work with Korean,Japanese and American people. TLDR: They are all Japanese, under a Japanese company, singing in English, trained almost entirely in Japan, lots of American writers and producers, most dances are choreographed by an American. Their primary target is not Korean audience (which must be obvious,even tho they did not say it themselves which they DID) So unless you call them J-pop and American pop, you can’t call them K-pop either. THE ONLY ARGUMENT people have about this “Well they are in Korea”. Because all other arguments are refutable and/or two-faced.
Thanks for giving XG a listen. Me being American find interesting how people call this bubblegum. I believe that the conviction in the tone, all the inflection, and charisma help in the overall sound. Oh yeah all their XG songs are in English (not the remixes) which is their third language. With the exception of Maya who went to an international school in Japan where they spoke mostly in English. Don't know any girl groups like them anywhere. Definitely in a class of their own. Yes 🙌🏽 #XG stands for Xtraordinary Girls and they always deliver in their third language…’ENGLISH. I appreciate that these 7’ Japanese Artists are not vulgar just to gain attention. These young ladies are extremely versatile and I enjoy the legitimate talent. I stopped listening to many Artists in the States because I prefer using trash lyrics. 🤣🤣Obviously, young women rapping about something other than their genitalia, like working hard to get where they are, makes it bubble-gum pop. 🤨😐🙄🤦♀ I realize this is something completely new and weird to my fellow Americans, but rap CAN be about something other than sex, drugs, violence and twerking these days. 😲😲😲😉 Don't worry about the people getting bent over XG being referred to as kpop though... there's a reason they are associated with the industry... they train, live (part-time), speak and promote in Korea. The group is using Korean music shows and their system of promoting new groups as a means to ultimately capture the attention of international stans and eventually (hopefully) a larger world audience (like yourselves)...so it's not exactly out of left field to associate them with kpop... obviously they are something new and different in that they are all Japanese and sing/rap in English, which is why they're being called "xpop" and not kpop or jpop... but it's not unreasonable for conflating the two on your first outing. I would recommend checking out Shooting Star, as well as Left Right for your next reaction(s). They're both very good examples of what they are capable of... HOWEVER, the beautiful thing about XG is that they will not be limited to what people expect and will continue to try new things. Like, just when we thought we had them pegged as an R&B/hiphop group, they hit us with a wild house banger that should be played in every gay club from Tokyo to Miami and then turned right around and dropped a suuuuuper catchy summer pop song last year. 🤷♀😂 You gotta respect the versatility.

They're not Korean and do not sing in Korean. Therefore, not Korean-pop (K-pop). Babaymetal is kawaii metal (cute metal) and are also Japanese, so they are considered J-rock or J-metal. The XG Tapes showcase the 4 rappers. The XG Vox's showcase the 3 singers. They can R&B too!
They prefer to be called x pop. Referencing that they are a global group, they are not J-Pop, K-Pop T-pop, P-Pop. They are not American pop. They are all of it. Therefore, x pop.

Please don't stereotype or assume what Asian music is. Xg is Japanese and operates in the K-pop sphere. And k-pop is not what you assume. First it's an industry not a genre and only westerners call it k-pop. It's known as Idol music. There is over 160+ different music genre's in the Idol system.
