I'm 25 years old, the first time I watched this film, I was 13, since then, I watch it at least twice a year

Never understood why it’s considered just an average movie, at best. I saw this in the theater and honestly think to this very day it’s one of the best survival movies ever made.

This film is tremendous. Should be remastered in 4K Blu Ray Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos.

My father's friend showed me this movie. He just died in a flood while hiking the Appalachian Trail. Rest in peace.

One of my favorite films. Great performances by the humans as well as Bart the bear, and you can't beat that soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith..

a unforgettable adventure, when two men face their most savage nature, in middle of a highly hostile enviroment, the struggle for the survival could be brutal with unexpected consequences, this is about persons facing their inner beasts, spectacular classic.

Luv that trailer since it clearly took time and skill to give just enough of the story to make the film appealing, and the movie is a good too, plus Jerry Goldsmith delivers a score that's amazing and one I can't help hearing again and again!

Great film. I love a good lost in the wilderness back to basics film. Add in the threat from the bear and the internal conflict and you have a great recipe for some drama.

I just watched this for the first time last nite, I really enjoyed it. Great film, great acting, recommend it 100%

Over 25 years old Finally got around to watching it since I wasn’t feeling well last year One can only teeter on the edge of sanity for so long when it comes to survival The Alaskan backdrop is gorgeous yet you also feel the immense danger surrounding Both actors work immensely well together and the score by Jerry Goldsmith is beautiful There’s some hokiness and it doesn’t bite as much as it should but it uses a lot of Mamet to it’s advantage being quite cerebral

Quite enjoyed this movie. The only problem I had with it was when they managed to kill the bear. The apparently then managed to skin the animal and also cut all or some of it up for food and all they had to do this was with a small pocket knife. Bears have a very powerful sense of smell and can smell things more than two miles away. Doubtless there would have been other bears within smelling distance of where these two men carried out their work on dead bear. Also the smell of the meat being cooked would have been picked up by any animals a long way away, even wolves. Anyway, I know, it's just a movie. I enjoyed it.

While this movie is phenomenal I won't be able to watch it again. Stephen's death and the death of the bear were both too much for me

It didn't suprise me to see that alec baldwin would bail out of the plane by himself and not try to help anyone else. The character in this movie must be based on baldwins actual life.

Its basically a loosly based trilogy of survival in the wild!!!! U have : The Edge : Giant Grizzly 🐻 relentlessly hunting u while being lost in the wild The Grey : Giant Wolves 🐺 relentlessly hunting u while being lost in the wild The Shallows : Giant Shark 🦈 relentlessly hunting u while being lost in the wild/ocean 🌊 Its basically a trilogy & all three films are good but obviously The Edge is 1# & The Grey is 2# & The Shallows is 3# as far as how good each film is!!!! Plus thats the same order as each of those survival films were made plus all the films have "The" in their title!!!!!

Le film qui porte le titre Edge qui veut dire en français la limite dispose une version française qui s'intitule : A couteaux tirés ; le film réuni deux stars de cinéma à savoir Anthony Hopkins et Alex Baldwin ; Alex qui est plus jeune accompagne Anthony Hopkins qui est un vétéran pour apprendre chasser l'ours. Les scènes qui relèvent du quotidien du citoyen ne sont pas omise et elles, en aucun cas, ne s'interprètent que par la vie rose.

Just watched beast and whenever I think of a survival lost in the wilderness and fighting off animals I think of this. Beast lacked any tension party from no real animal that was obviously and the direction sucked but here it still freaks me out .
