I once thought of an idea for a deckmaster format. Took inspiration from the deck master mechanic in the anime and mtg commander. Rules- You can only use one copy of each card unless it requires multiple copies to use its effect like thunder dragon or mali for example. The first monster card for the main deck takes the role of the deck master. The deck master can be summoned at any point except the battle and end phase. If the deck master dies then its controller automatically loose. The deck master can’t be used for ritual or extra deck monster material or be tributeted.

I hope so. He didn't go into detail into the next half of the format with fire fist but I call it the Spark Droplet format. Like Fire Water but still in its larval stage. Chaos Dragon, Inzektor, Wind-Up, Macro Rabbit, Hero Beat, Dark World, all make an appearance and are still good but you also include Merlantian and Fire Fist to shake things up.

I feel like whoever goes first would win most of the time tbh.

I personally like HAT format much more, but some people don't like the format at much due to the prevalence of a lot of control strategies like HAT and Geargia + insane wombo combo decks like Infernities and Sylvans. Not to mention, Soul Charge at 3 is a sore spot for some people, though i don't personally find it as egregious as the power 3 of GOAT format (pot of greed, graceful charity, delinquent duo), and sometimes having the potential for a big comeback off of it can be really exciting.

I have played those formats and they are actually not as bad as you would think. Yes Shock Master is a pain in the ass but Max C and Effect Veiler help out a lot. Also good deck building helps a lot. Forbidden Chalice, torrential, fiendish chain, mirror force, are all really good in combo decks now as you need puts to shock. Weirdly enough in makes combo decks and stun decks run a balance between spell, trap, and monster interaction so you don't lose to Shock.

​@@lordofthered1257 I guess you can play around BLS in goat, a card I consider kinda overpowered in Tengu format. Doesn't stop it from being a net negative for the format, but hey, so is Edison with royal opression, DAD and Dustshoot.

@@N12015 I used to be super huge into Edison but Oppression and Kalut made me rethink my fucking life.

@@N12015 Also I think Duo is the only real un-fun card in Goat. I love Goat but if Duo was banned I think it would be a better format. Its wierd seeing the different reactions to BLS in goat across the community. I know two people in my friend group that play goat and yugioh in general because of BLS. They simply enjoy the explosiveness and chaotic fun BLS brings to the table. One of them likes cyber jar so much he puts it in every deck just because of how wacky and unique it is though so I don't know what that says about him.
