As a Leafs fan I have no problem cheering for Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, or Vancouver. I do not consider those 4 teams rivals. However if it was Montreal or Ottawa no way in hell I cheer for them cause they definitely would not cheer for us! In 2007 I cheered for Anaheim to beat Ottawa. They did! 2021 I cheered for Tampa Bay to beat Montreal they did. You never cheer for your rivals. That's how sports works! You would never see a Red Sox Fan cheer for the Yankees or a Yankess fan cheer for the Red Sox. That's my take on that. Edmonton is not a Leafs rival. I'm definitely okay with the Oilers winning as a Leafs fan!

To you folks in Toronto: not only are the Oilers Canadian based, they have a roster full of Canadians. Out of all the teams that made the playoffs, they had the most (20) Canadian players.

Hey guys, I don't know where this is coming from. I'm a lifetime Leafs fan but am 100% behind the Oilers right now (meaning at this point of the season). They are definitely Canada's team at the moment and I'm cheering for them to go all the way. I've also heard that some Ontario fans are booking flights to Edmonton to watch them live. They need their playoff hockey fix. Plus, McDavid is from Ontario.🤩 (**AND, hopefully the Leafs will get it done next season.🙏**)
