Absolutely. The number of different exercises you can do for your whole body using just one kettlebell is almost endless. Kettlebells saved my physical and mental health during the lockdown. Amazing stuff.

Kettlebells were a life changer for me. I love everything about them but one thing I’ll say for them that bodybuilding trainers might be interested in: they allowed me to train overhead movements with zero shoulder soreness like never before. Love them.

Justin gets it. Kettlebells all day, and it’s not even close. Heck of a learning curve, but like anything in life worth having, it’s well worth the time investment. I spent quarantine learning how to use them and have never looked back. You can keep your dumbbell flies and chest presses. I’m rolling with kettlebell snatches and Turkish getups any day of the week.

Kettlebells are magnificent for core training and most likely development because of the weight distribution forcing you to contract to balance yourself especially when doing a simple single overhead press

Kettlebells are far superior to free weights, much less resistance machines. I learned it at home with videos from Lauren Brooks many years ago. After working out for years with free weights and cardio/boot camp style classes (old school) I got freaking hella results in DAYS with kettlebells. They are the very best workout on the planet. I've tried a TON-pilates, tracy anderson method, bootcamp, running-NOTHING works like kettlebell workouts. Yeah, it's a learning curve, but it's not that hard. It's been called "the thinking person's workout." That's for sure. But shouldn't we be thinking and paying attention when we are working out?? Kettlebells for the win.

Personally for my minimal home gym I 100% go with KBs, but to be fair having adjustable dumbbells is nice for progressive overload and managing appropriate weight for different exercises. Only recently have adjustable KBs become available (and they ain't cheap).

Kettlebells helped me after I broke my back L1 compression fracture. Single arm exercises and the asymmetrical load causes core contractions that really help your back at lighter weights than dumbbells. Check out Mark Wildman RU-vid channel. Also add steel clubs. I found more scalability with kettlebells and clubs than bands. Also I found that a lot of back pain is lazy abs and glutes and your back doing all the work.

All the people thinking they are equal have clearly never done a kettlebell workout. KB’s way more versatility. Kettle > Dumb
@bendodd2405
@bendodd2405 21 день назад
I heat people say KB are not as good for building muscle but to build muscle you just need to take an excercise close or to failure, and it's no different for kettlebells. KB are better for moving without pain, building explosive power, core and stability and more natural movements.

People go all in on one sort of training all of it has value, I prefer the kettlebell and weighted calisthenics atm but I’ve done powerlifting like training and body building all of it is viable! body building is endurance, powerlifting is obviously being strong, at the end do what you find more fun but all of it is viable no reason to stick to one beyond competitive reasons I guess. At the end of the day you’re moving and improving and that’s amazing.

Depending on your bodyweight, if you’re a burlier dude, you’ll only need - pair of 16kg - pair of 20kg - pair of 24kg - 28kg and 32kg (pair or not depends on your strength, mobility and cardio) The lighter weights I’d use for learning overhead squats and SOTs presses. It’s better to work on mobility with lighter bells. The mid weights are for volume work like long cycle and snatches or RKC deep 6 The heavyweights are for grind movements like TGU, or doing low reps of any movement

I would say an overhead press is also required. Shoulder mobility would suffer pretty hard if all you did was swings but swings and presses cover almost everything a human would need to do.

Kettlebells are the keto of weights. Dumbbells are superior overall.
@PrismaticFitness
@PrismaticFitness Год назад
Kettlebells just have more overall use, there are many exercises you can do with kettlebells that are just far inferior with dumbbells, very few the other way around. Kettlebells also target the legs a lot more effectively than dumbbells can, making them much better for an all-in-one piece of equipment.
@Sonic_1000
@Sonic_1000 Год назад
@@PrismaticFitness If you want to hit hard plateaus for strength. Use momentum instead of quality time under tension and basically just get an aerobic workout they are fine. The barbell and dumbbell and even calisthenics will always be superior.
@PrismaticFitness
@PrismaticFitness Год назад
@@Sonic_1000 They are all great in their own ways. If you want an all-in-one tool though, barbells and kettlebells hit the spot. Dumbbells and callisthenics neglect the lower body and lower back. The ideal combo would be bit of all, dumbbells would be the least important part of the equation though, the other tools do what it can do better. Kettlebells are amazing for functional upper body strength, combining that with barbells for lower body strength would be ideal.
@Sonic_1000
@Sonic_1000 Год назад
@@PrismaticFitness I hear you but there’s nothing an overpriced kettlebell can do I cannot do with a dumbbell. And the complex names and convoluted movements that are unique to the kettlebell are nearly useless. But definitely use what you want. But me and a guy in my town started training 3 weeks apart. I went old school weight lifting with calisthenics as a finisher for each session and he went kettlebell and yoga. You can’t tell he’s ever trained. Our physiques and strength are night and day.
@HkFinn83

@@Sonic_1000well yeh if you want to look like a bodybuilder do bodybuilding training. If you want to be a powerlifter, do that.
