It's a good ruling..we don't need to segregate based on race. We don't need to cater based on race. If we are truly all equal than we need to have a society that gives equality to all.

It wasn't just about race. the people who benefitted the most were literally wealthy white hispanics who could still claim to be "an underrepresented minority because they were hispanic" even though they were rich, white and had slave owning grandparents. This is what people don't understand Because they are too busy focusing on the Blacks. Furthermore, it also benefitted WHITE non hispanic WOMEN!!!!!!

Also, are you ok with the LEGACY STUDENTS????? Are you ok with the preference for WEALTHY students???? Probably because you are sooooo focused on the blacks LMAO!!!!!!

@@truthspeaker8863, let's be honest..... Black students will most likely drop out, get kicked out, or just fail, in school, if teachers wouldn't automatically pass them so they wouldn't have to deal with them for another year. Asian students will most definitely go to, and pass, higher education. Those are the facts. Stop being disingenuous.

@@truthspeaker8863 The people who benefitted most have been white women. That is why the court did not strike down gender-based affirmative action.

The attention around the AA ruling is much ado about nothing... as the same students who were offered spots at elite colleges pre- ruling are going to be the same one offered spots post ruling .

You are either QUALIFIED to go to higher education, or you aren't. Simple.

Lets say you have only 10 positions. And 1000 high SAT whites apply along with 500 high SAT Asians apply for them. Let's say only 3 high SAT blacks also apply. What are the odds that even one of the 3 blacks will have a chance? This is reality, and it is due to the fact that historically neither whites nor Asians have endured multiple centuries of race-based discrimination. What Affirmative Action did was focus search pressure upon blacks and other minorities that equalled 200 SAT pts. It did not add 200 SAT pts to blacks. The search pressure equaled the pts. This permitted those high performing blacks to be found. Now, they will not be.

George H.W. Bush was a legacy student. He got in because of his family's name. Otherwise, he would not have qualified based on his grades and academic aptitude. A lot of white males get into schools and jobs for which they do not qualify. Why do you think that is?
@oscarbenigsen4538

@@danielfaas6197 I think the court case only dealt with schools. I think AA as I described for schools is reasonable. It should be rejected elsewhere.

Government has no right to discriminate based on race. That includes government schools. We should abolish all race based government policies.

Soledad O'Brien ('Independent Journalist"): "Early decision of course admits 40% of the class. When you do early decision you ar saying, yes, if you accept me I will pay regardless of what it costs. Well, only wealthy people can do that". False. Early decision is a college admission plan that allows students to apply to their top choice school earlier in the year than usual. Students who apply early decision typically receive their admissions decision in mid-December. Early decision benefits students by reducing the number of applications to be completed at one time, and by providing results early. However, the early round is full of extremely competitive applicants, so it's not always the best choice for every student. Please get a college practitioner or someone more knowledgeable of the college admissions process than someone just spewing false narratives. Thanks.

it is true that applying ED is binding and that students have less of an opportunity to negotiate a lower tuition etc if selected ED

The Constitution does not authorize the federal government to discriminate based on race. The Constitution does not authorize the federal government to be involved in schools.
