This pedal looks great, but I'm just looking for a wah that activates when you step on it, and automatically turns off when you step off, like with the fractal wah/pitch with the expression pedal. I'm shocked that I can't easily find a stand alone pedal that does that. If you hook the exp up to the cock fight, can it do that? My guess is you have to hit the footswitch on the pedal, then you can use the wah. I don't want that. I want it instantaneous and seamless like the fractal setup. I love the sound of my dunlop wah, but I have always hated the toe switch. I tried to adjust it so it was lighter, touch, but then you'd accidentally turn it off while playing. Or if it's not light touch, I'm having to stomp with all my might to switch the goddamn thing and it fucks up my solo...anybody know of a stand alone pedal like what I'm talking about? I also want the same thing with whammy fx, cuz I guarantee you Gojira uses this setup. Rant over
I purchased a new one today, there was NO SWITCH inside the unit. Upon closer investigation, it appears an old Rev C version ended up in a new box. If buying one, ask to crack it open and see the insides before purchasing.
Hi, check out the video at the 43 second mark for the location of the switch. I just opened and verified against two other units and the switch is there on those units as illustrated in the video. This information is for the stomp box style unit only and does not pertain to the Wah version if that is what you own. I've not heard of counterfeited versions of this pedal but that may be possible if you did not purchase from a dealer. You may want to reach out to your dealer for a replacement.
@@seannaylor33 Checked and double checked, no switch in there at all. I am taking it back to the store, I think it might be a Chinese fake. There is definitely something weird going on because the instructions mention the switch.
@@trevorarthurson6815 Wow, yeah, I would definitely take her back. If the store is a dealer, they should be made aware to ensure that the manufacturer didn't either make a mistake or that they took a fraudulent return of a fake. Like you mentioned, page 2 of the manual also details the switch function. If you get a chance to update your initial comment it would be help as we are trying to ensure we are delivering the most helpful content we can on our videos. Thanks so much.
@@seannaylor33 Yep, this one has a Rev C board, I showed internal pics to the store and they have an updated one in stock and are exchanging it. Thanks for the replies, it was your video that helped me decide to buy the pedal. I’ll be exchanging the pedal this afternoon (Australia time). Can’t wait to plug it in. 😁
@@seannaylor33 Update, all of the store’s new stock are the old, obsolete version. Electro-Harmonix uses Australia as a dumping ground for their obsolete products. They are packaging outdated versions of the Cock Fight stomp as the current version and selling them off as current stock. Australians can only buy EHX’s trash.
