I grew up less than an hour from this place/I never knew about this. Arkansas' education system failed every Black person.

I'm 58 years old, and this is my first time hearing about this documentary. I'M NOT GOING BACK.

Interesting how the first demon was smiling when he told the story of how they terrorized innocent black people.

I'm so grateful for the internet. I've learned about so many stories like this.. and I graduated in 1983.. Keep bringing the truth to light. Everyone needs to know real history.

This 💩 was never taught in school, I'm 61 and just finding out how evil those people were and they are still that way.

I'm from Saint Louis Missouri and we talked about this and the ones in East Saint Louis Ohio oaklahomah all together it was between 12 to 16 of these killing that happen and they are trying to cover all of their crimes up and erase the horrible thing that they done. What gets me is still in 2024 we won't pull out. We still spend almost All our hard worked for dollars with them. We still send our children to be Taught by them. We still work harder for them than for ourselves. We still won't patrol our own communities. Organiizations fighting back have to beg us for money and for our time. Many of us now know the lies and atrocities. We need to focus on solutions? We need to make time to do revolutionary work in all it's different aspects. Volunteering to help make change is imperative. Everyone should be a member somewhere doing something that helps, not just expecting others to do all the work while watching n waiting? My nephew sent me this link. I’m 37 years old and, as a lifelong Arkansas resident, I’ve never heard of this. It’s to be expected in this white-dominated state to never hear anything about something so sinister happening at home, let alone to anything that happened to black Americans in these “united states”. My mother used to always say my grandfather hated Caucasian people but I didn’t understand why when they taught me not to hate people still until this very day I don’t hate people I hate the hatred in their heart and the hate of there actions this breaks my heart because in 1919 my grandparents were small children grandfather was born in 1906 grandmother born in 1910 I hate that my POC endured such unnecessary hate and it’s still going on today it won’t end until they understand we are human beings just like they are god put us all here to live happily amongst each other but this one percentage of people lied so bad and for so long has other ethics believing the lies now true enough when you spread a lie for so long some began to live out the lies boy I tell you I hope you all have repented and asked GOD for forgiveness cause if you haven’t I can’t even imagine your judgment I try so hard to not allow this world to make my heart cold

At 62, I often wondered why my grand dad would not look white ppl in the eye, he would meekly bow his head. This massacre of 1919 is possibly why as he was born in Arkansas. I know he and his siblings were orphaned, I don't know why/how though. He was born in 1920 as far as I know, I never saw a birth certificate. He was a ww2 veteran and he was pretty strict as far as me and my siblings were concerned. He was a man of few words but when he spoke, we listened. As a young adult, grand dad and I went to pick up a pizza we ordered from the Pizza Inn in Memphis, as we were entering the business, a white man was coming out and immediately, his head dropped, that has stuck with me and I still think about it to this day. According to the narrator of this video, as recently as 2000, there is still no closure for the Blacks in Elaine, for what happened in 1919-also, as of this day, race relations are "currently" still strained in Elaine, Arkansas! Meanwhile America is now showing commercials of white men marrying or dating the finest Black women of our race, but this is not a reality that I believe is the case throughout the American south at present! I am a native of Detroit, Michigan and have never seen or heard of the racial hatred as it existed throughout the American south, growing up in Detroit-yes there were occasional incidents in Detroit, but not like they were to be found in the south at that same time(1960s and 70s), until I went to Virginia in the year 1977, in the which I had the white owner of a bookstore, pull a gun on me, simply because I came in the store and started reading his magazines! He hollered "get out", "get out of my store" while brandishing a nickel-plated 45 automatic pistol! The incident was prompted by a prior situation, in which I seem to remember buying my first copy of "The Autobiography Of Malcolm X", from that same store, a few days prior; prior to that, the owner never had a problem with me coming into his store to browse, which sometimes led me buy a book or magazine, after looking to see if there was anything I wanted! Needless to say, after that incident, I never went back into his store again! Also-in August of 1999, I returned to Detroit from a 2 week visit in Atlanta, Georgia; on my way back to Detroit, I stopped in Cincinatti, Ohio, on a sunny day during what was apparently lunch break for many of the workers in the downtown area(it would've been I guess somewhere between 11 am and 1 pm, and it was crowded)-to my shock and surprise, I found that there were NO BLACKS TO BE SEEN at that time, in the Cincinatti downtown area! I would've been about 41 years old then, and being in America all my life, I had never heard or seen anything that had warned me this would be the case in the city of Cincinatti, Ohio! I was told furthermore, by a Black man, some years after, that this same racial polarization exists in other cities throughout the American south and "borderline cities" shall we say, such as Indianapolis, Indiana, but I never knew this was the case, until the brother opened my eyes to this reality! And so this account as depicted in the video above just confirms for me, that Blacks had better WAKE THE FUCK UP and quit trying to ingratiate themselves with people(especially in the northern cities) who still by and large, have no or very little regard for us as a people, until the God of the Bible, as promised through his prophets long ago, said he would, at a future date, judge the whole of the white man's world, for the evils they have continually heaped upon our heads as a people, since we were first brought to these shores as slaves! 9-13-24.
