The other tree seems to be ‘eclipsing’ an erdtree. Miquella wanted to use the ‘eclipse’ to revive godwyn. Messmer the Impaler is the son of Radagon and Marika. The Impalers catacombs (weeping peninsula) had a ghost nearby saying “O Marika, Queen Eternal. He is your unwanted child” So he is the unwanted child and brother to Miquella and Malenia Messmer also seems to be some sort of drake knight. He seems to be using a dragon communion seal, has armour similar to a drake knight and his eyes look like how our eyes look once we do dragon communion
I think Messmer could be named after Franz Mesmer, a German physician from the 17-1800s who developed hypnotism (the word "hypnotism" was made as a synonym for his theories). Also, the word "mesmerizing" comes from Franz Mesmer's name, and to be mesmerizing is to have a hypnotic and entrancing nature. With that in mind, I think that Messmer could be referencing Franz Mesmer, and given the hypnotism stuff, I also believe that in the beginning where the narrator talks about someone "wielding love to shrive clean the hearts of men" and that "nothing is more terrifying", that could be talking about Messmer, well, mesmerizing people. However, the Bewitching Branches' whole thing is that they hypnotize people, and they were created by Miquella, so maybe the terrifying one who wields love could also be referencing Miquella. The narrator calls it "terrifying" though, which I feel suggests something sinister, and from what we've seen and what Miyazaki said in interviews, Miquella is benevolent and we are following his guidance, so that doesn't line up? Maybe the "terrifying" thing could also just be speaking to how powerful Miquella is, not that he's evil or something.
@@ericwalker6477 yeah, Miquella cleansing people's hearts with love doesn't seem terrifying, it seems like a nice thing, which is why I think it could be referring to Messmer since he is obviously a bad guy. However, Miquella is stated as knowing how to get people to like him, so maybe that manipulation is what's terrifying to the narrator? Idk, I personally think Miquella is a good guy, but he could also be manipulative and maybe more sinister than he seems? Personally the "terrifying" line still kinda throws me off a bit. I might have an answer though. Malenia refers to Miquella as being the most fearsome Empyrean, and Gideon also seems to be scared of Miquella, as he expresses worry about what will happen if he ever wakes from his cocoon... With that in mind, it seems like Miquella must be extremely powerful. Overall I still think that Miquella is a good guy, but he is clearly not someone you want to mess with, and maybe that power is what the narrator finds terrifying. Miquella was able to grow a whole giant tree using just his blood, which is proof of the vast power within him. His innocent child form only makes that power all the more terrifying and awe-inspiring...
I looked in the comments for a timestamp of when the reaction starts, then realised the video is actually 1:13:06 of straight-up reaction and analysis. I like to see it
Idk if people are just memeing it, or it legitimately went over their head but the repeating crossbow is a thing from Berserk and it's been in a few DS games. Slave Knight Gael uses one in his bossfight even
One of the great things about this is how early you can enter the dlc. Only boss you have to beat before mohg is godrick, meaning you can easily get into dlc within an hour on a new playthrough
@@sketchydeer5044 I could definitely see there being setup before you’re allowed to yolo into the dlc, but I hope it’s left as unrestricted as possible so I can head there before renalla
@@yo3theguys980 oh for sure. Only thing that feels different about mohg vs other bosses to me is that once he clicks, he the amount to which he becomes easier is drastic compared to some other ones. I’ve tried beating all the bosses with +0 uchi and mohg was sooooo much easier than malenia and even Godfrey and radagon. Definitely one of the hardest bosses in the game, but one that I find I almost never get cheesed by and am able to get more consistent with than other hard bosses
@@star0vodsI haven’t played hollow knight so I didn’t make that connection. But it’s weird sense of deja vu where it’s not like I’m thinking of a resemblance, but like I’ve seen the exact design before. Although I’m still not sure exactly what it is.
Honestly the hedgehog hypo thing does have the magma wyrm stomps, and that's a dragon, so I personally would count it as dragon... buuut even that doesn't give you bingo XD
Niice so many videos like "deep analysis" and it's like a 10 minute video, this is dope being so long, I pretty much recorded for almost as long (1 hour and 10 minutes) although I did cut it after to like 45 minutes. (and no worries this ain't a self plug, I upload from another account, not this one, so no way one can track it from here)
AAAHH! Omg Chris's look of UNCENSORED JOY the first time he sees the trailer is unparalleled! Edit: WAIT A MOMENT! Do you have a bookmark for Stardew Valley?! Is this ever going on stream because I will cry if I can watch you play my fav game!
Yeah I've had the terraria and stardew wikis on my bookmarks for a while lol, some of my favorite games, so yeah I'll probably play stardew on stream and stuff at some point, who knows when though
I can see why what I said was misleading, but in my head I more meant "You can tell by the lighting of the players, that the DLC overall is still being polished and this trailer used an earlier build". I didn't really mean that anything looks unfinished (I think it all looks great), but I just more meant that it makes sense why release date is 4 months away. Although, looking back at it some more, it seems like the player models might be some sort of custom animated ones and that's why it looks like weird lighting on the players fighting
It's a different reality but I think it's like under the giant golden tree, underground. If you look at the skin those see through giant ropes look like they could be roots.
According to an interview with Miyazaki, the Land of Shadow is another land outside the Lands Between. So the Land of Shadow is another seperate area kinda like the Land of Reeds, Eochaid, etc, however the Land of Shadow seems more tied to the Lands Between, as in Marika's past she first set foot in the Land of Shadow prior to coming to the Lands Between. The flowing things in the sky are ethereal veils that sort of represent the theming of being veiled and hidden in shadow.
From what i can tell, it looks like this all happens before Elden Ring in the Age of the 3 Fingers and its based on Marika coming to power and becoming a Goddess, The Erdtree looks like it was on fire with the Frenzy Flame and new main Boss with the Snakes looks like his got yellow eyes, part dragon or Frenzy, You also have a tri boss, what could become the Godskins??
@@andrewbowen2837 simple, at 00:48 the Erdtree thats burnt and dead has a dim Frenzy flame glow in the middle of the tree like its only just going out, then at 01:47 the new? Elden Lord, his left eye is glowing frenzied (Shabriri Grape) also his Casting Bloodthorns magic, maybe Briars of Punishment, You get this at the leftmost dead tree, by 3 Thorn sorcerers, then the fight moves on to show a boss fight with 3 Sorcerers wearing Thorn type armor. I believe the aberrant sorcery was discovered by exiled criminals before the time of the Great Erdtree and the fact that non human type npcs cast versions of it too, means it predates Elden Ring and if you and Marika fight together are you playing as Radagon? 00:53 shows the npc im guessing meant to be the player with a Great Rune, the only Great Rune with a cross or straight lines is Radagons and Marika says at the end, we will meet again? meaning the merger?
@@telnxMessmer's eye is clearly a Dragon Communion eye, he even has armor similar to the Drake set. Myasaki has said in interviews that there is 0 timetravel, it's just a hidden world.
