With just a little practice I believe this narrator could be a audiobook narrator. He has a warm, inviting voice.

Someone actually going toe to toe with a Predator, and almost willingly fights it before being shot from behind is honestly really badass.

The fan made Predator: Dark Ages is a good one and worth watching. It pays more homage and respect to the lore than the 2018 'canon' film.

That predator maintained the flintlock so well, it looks almost as good as when he received it nearly 3 centuries ago.

Danny Glover did a hell of a job and Predator 2. He is a very talented actor.

This is how the Predator lore should be introduced. So many predator films have made a mockery of the lore. What a brilliant connection to the old “Grey back” or “Golden Angel” of Predator 2. I hope the new Prey film brings this franchise back on its feet?!?!

Prey was excellent. The overall look and feel was so different yet the overall themes and structure flow with what made the first film so good. It's an excellent film in its own right and the second best if not the best film of the franchise.

This was a perfect narration for my morning routine. I am still thinking myself odd for feeling emotional when the captain was shot down. Your ability to bring these comics to life is nothing short of astounding! Please keep up the good work my friend

I seriously hope the story of the flintlock isn’t retcon, that comic explained a good reason why Greyback awarded Harrigan after defeating City Hunter.

As someone who considers himself a xenomorph and Yautja expert (obsessed fan lol) and a lifelong fan of the whole AvP universe, I have got to say- Alien Theory is, hands down, without a doubt, the absolute BEST example of fan media available for the AvP mythos. Dude, you're the best! I love absolutely everything you post. You're always objective when reviewing things, and always post the best, most detailed & informed content. Alien Theory is second to none when it comes to AvP content discussion and appreciation.

A long time ago I had a Elder Predator action figure. I had a few of them. I forget the company, but this Elder Predator was called Cracked Tusk. When I was young like 98 or 1999

I don't think they should retcon the comic and events of predator 1718, it's a great story that fits in well with the universe. To change that would be to ruin it. Also great video I like the detailed explanation

The Critical Drinker has the best theory. The Predators came back and wiped out the tribe and took it as a trophy from her since she was the one who killed him. Makes the most sense to me.

Just finished watching Predator 2, really has grown on me these last couple of years, almost getting on par or even better than the first one, can't wait to see Prey and hope to see more historical pieces involving Predator!!

Have you read *Predator: If it Bleeds* Many of the short stories in it are historical, and the rest would likewise make great video material.

This is why the first and second predator movies are awesome. They should’ve did a prequel YEARS ago and never done the other crap. Definitely look forward to PREY.

Now that you gave that back story, it would be great if the movie brings that exact story to life.

I love the code the predators have. They could make so much cool lore if they wanted. Predators and humans vs zombies, predators vs humans in different time periods(which could be its own series)

"Prey" was a pleasant surprise. The action was well done. The fighting style and heroism of the Comanche let you know how American Indians got the name, Braves.

How about a Predator landing on the outskirts of Sparta during their height? Or perhaps in the jungles of the Mayan empire? Maybe taking on a far outreach legion of Rome? Samurai warriors? Ninja clan? Feudal Chinese Warlord? The possibilities are endless.

I have been building Predator suits and props for collectors for the last 15 years. I'm in the process of building an Elder life size bust and I am trying to make it as accurate as possible. I like to do some research and mentally hype myself as an artist on what I'm about to work on. I really appreciate that you took the time to make this video.

The Godfather Vito Corleone's real name was Vito Andolini. I like to think Rafael was his ancestor somehow and love to imagine a war between the Corleone family VS the Predator in my weird mind.

I want a comic/book or miniseries where a predator crashes to earth for a hunt but he’s super early so he wins over a farming town and just helps them out.(plowing fields with his tech, harvesting crops, playing with farm cats) Then a gang or rival aliens come and he fends them off

Sadly, for it to be a retcon, Disney would first have to acknowledge it as Canon, and that's something Disney has a problem with when it comes to comics and novels.

When I first watched this movie as a kid, not knowing anything I had thought that the last time a human had killed a predator was Rafael Adolini, in 1718. Im glad this mystery finally came full circle back to me, however many years its been.

I've been toying the idea of reworking Beowulf into an Alien vs Predator story. A bit tricky to make it coherent and honorable but I feel it would be something great. One problem thou, I need to actually get started on it.

I'm hoping it's just a nod, because that 1718 story sounds incredible! My fave historical Pred story comes from DHP #46 (1990)- Old man tells his grandkids about when he encountered one in the swamps of Louisiana while being pursued by crooked cops, around the 40s/50s. I'd love to see an anthology film for Predator, where it's more about the hunt/Yautja/setting, than some crazy grand plot. I imagine a segment that is wordless or in a completely alien language, no subs, all based on body language and sounds, taking place on a different world with all different creatures.

Would be an interesting lore tie-in if it were Andolini's pistol in "Prey."

That was always the best scene in P2, Harrigan and Golden Angel facing off. But in movie , I preferred the way it was over the novelization tbh.

I've always loved the predator b'cuz of its "honorable" code....so I hope they do tie in the story of the pistol.

What's on my mind after watching Prey. There could be a last survivor and a witness to the brutal killings of mutinous crews of Raphael/Rafael Andolini in the Predator 1718 comic. The translator from the Prey was the captain's trusty mate (That's why he has a flint pistol from Raphael Andolini), the last survivor, and the witness in the island of Guinea. The translator lore I believe, before they land in the island of Guinea he saw the sign "Thunderbird" (Yautja spaceship entering the atmosphere), and he think it will be a bad omen for them, because the Captain Raphael Andolini stole a treasure/sacrament from the church. After he saw the horrifying scenes that killed the whole entire crew he brushes to the woods and hides. A year after the Guinea massacre, the translator was now in the group of French Trappers in Northern American plains. He saw again the sign of a Yautja spaceship entering the atmosphere (Thunderbird), he convinced the whole group to lay traps in the area, accidentally they trapped Naru while she was chased by the Predator, after that scene the French trappers cannot believe what they saw on the dead bodies of the Comanche people. Later that night Naru was interrogated that night by French trappers, the translator asked her "What did you see?", "You should be helping us", "I think this creature is a hunter" he proceeds to show to Naru his secret possession, a hunting knife from Greyback. the hunting knife was dropped after Raphael Andolini powerfully swing his sword to Greyback that disabled its cloacking device and cut Greyback's hunting knife buckel/rope. But Naru denies to give information to the french trappers. And so on his brother was captured also and they used them as a bait for the Predator. They think if they capture it, they will be paid a lot. They failed and the translator was badly injured, he give his flint pistol (second flint pistol coming from Raphael Andolini) to Naru for exchange of medicine. In the end credits Naru was visited by the Yautja clan to recover the dead body of one of their clanmates and give their trophy for being a worthy hunter prey. The other spaceships is the story of Predator: Rite of Passage (Masai/East African Warriors) Predator: Blood Feud (Origin of Hanzo)

As much as I hold out hope the new predator movie will be decent, I am so used to being disappointed I'd sooner they didn't start changing any established Canon from what, for the most part, are well written, decent quality extended universe books/comics. Then again nothing is sacred now is it? What hope does predator lore have when they change every horror franchise to suite the ridiculous ideas they attempt to pass of as transformative or "modern take" these days.

Has there been any talk about time travel with the predators? I would assume maybe they have discovered it and can go back and forth in time since each movie doesn’t show older vs newer weapons that the predators have.

"Prey" was great. Totally entertaining. A post down below mentioned a old west version might be cool. I agree. Cowboys and Aliens was a different kind of movie but still fun to watch. Mixing old west and future tech is hard. A quick draw artist would do how well against a predator? The Ballad of Buster Scruggs was super funny and worth watching for sure. Maybe a mix of that movie with a predator mix in?

Duuuuude. That scene at the end of Predator 2 is so much cooler now in the context of the Predator quoting Adolini. Those Dark Horse comics were legit.

I just watched Prey and I thought it was well done and it kept me interested for the whole movie.
