Season 3 (Episode 290) depicts the "shortened" version of the funding credits, in which lightning bolts appear as "The Electric Company" morphs into "The Children's Television Workshop"; afterward, the show logo with the CTW text inside cuts away, instead of deconstructing. The shortened funding credits (which also feature the theme beginning later than usual) were also known to be used on Episodes 302, 348, 358, 360, 362, 367, 371, 374, and 375.

It would be great for them to have these Electric Company retro episodes on Hulu like 5 A,14 A,15 A,51 B and even 60 A with the ee,qu and sightword of.Want to see Hattie Winston having the 4 nightmares in the Help!Help!,Help! Sketch.
At 13:02 it is a "Tune in Next Time..." episode teaser from Episode 8B/658 in Season 6, followed by a full Season 6 closing theme of "The Electric Company" with a montage of various clips from this show's six seasons on the air, and followed by a shortened Season 6 closing theme of "The Electric Company" with the female voice over, and the scrolled underwriters funding credits as corporate sponsors. And this reminds us how time goes by, when we remember the CTW produced program knows how "Reading can be fun" on "The Electric Company."
I like the crackpot one. What season was it when they started doing the 3 and 5 second word reads?I ask that because they should have a episode guide or even a playlist shown live not still like Sesame Street episodes do too much, that won't even show episodes 2400,2409 where Elmo gets tickled, 519 where the girl imagines she's bubblegum and gets tickled and even The Big Trip game show episode where Big Bird has to find 5 things that begin with the letter B in 70 seconds to win "The Big Trip" to Hawaii, and letters were B,P and the number 7.
I grew up with the reboot, and little me thought wordballs, the sound playing thing that girl had, and the stomp that one villain had were the coolest powers 😅 Now I'm mature and think that the coolest powers are Scarlet Witch powers

Here's a list of some TEC songs: One Word Comes After Another (sung by Morgan Freeman and Hattie Winston from Season 3) Be Kind to the Letter "S" (from Season 1) Knock-Knock Rock (a Short Circus song from Season 5) N Apostrophe T (sung by Jimmy Boyd and Lee Chamberlin from Season 2) The "Or" Song (sung by June Angela and Bayn Johnson from Season 4) I'm Just a Clown Who's Feelin' Down! (a Short Circus song from Season 1) Grease (sung by Rita Moreno and the male cast from Season 2) There's a Hole at the Bottom of the Sea (from Season 4) Silent "E" (from Season 2) Back to Boogaloo (sung by Skip Hinnatt with sexy Hattie Winston and her hot friend on backup from Season 5) That's All (The final song of the series sung by the entire cast from Season 6)
Around 1975, Sesame Street got enough revenue from merchandising that it didn't need funding from the government. But The Workshop was getting funding at the expense of the member stations. The stations said, "Either share funding with us, or drop Electric Company."
Most of the old CTW shows did that. 3-2-1 Contact and Square One TV also did it during the '80s. Sesame Street did it all the way up until the 2002 season.
The Electric Company (1971-2022) Season 1 (1971-1979) Season 2 (1979-1989) Season 3 (1989-1999) Season 4 (1999-2009) Season 5 (2009-2013) Season 6 (2013-2022).
I remember a version of the outro that had tubular bells along with horn sections and wah guitar. Does anyone remember this? Am I thinking of a different show?
I found it. It was the music that played during the funding source message after all of the credits on Sesame Street, maybe on EC too but just not shown in this compilation.

Bro shut up no it didn't Cause My Boyfriend's Kids Loved The Reboot Of The Electric Company It was the goat. And plus it was the best pbs kids go show.
@@ruththebaud1261 And this is based on a person I would consider to be the inferior mentality! Anyone who uses the term "goat" is a person who can't think for themselves, because you heard or saw somebody else use it. An idiot who needs to use the "word of the day" without acknowledging what "great" really is or under what pretext! You're as vacuous as the rest of the vapid fools who can't come up with a legitimate word. So, give yourself a pat on the back, cause You Are an Easily Amused Simpleton! Congratulations.
I loved the retro Electric Company 10 times better than the 2009 one.The Captain Cluck epidodes were super weird, but the Jack Bowser ones with the 24 were quite cool especially when he always made it out of the traps in the nick of time even when the 24 countdown might've gone a little too quick.I love the 3 and 5 second word reads much better than the 5 and 10 second ones. They should the ones with Spidey reading Yeti in 5 seconds and wins,Crank missing the word grouch in 3 seconds saying grr grr grr and time expires and he gets mad,but wins on the word not in 3,sleep in 5,but the 3 on the word and,I agree with Crank on that one ,what was that strange noise? He was gypped, it was no 3 secs, that was more like 2 and a half. EASY READER READING "payday" in 3 and wins,Jesse with "lift " in 3 ,wins,Julie in 3 with "point",wins.Samantha reading "call" and "who" in 3 both times a winner.Fsrgo North Decoder reading "wind" in 3 and winning,Julie reading "dress" in 5 seconds after the News Station sketch where Fargo tries to help the weatherman with a message while the reporters play cards and the message is "Dress properly".
