This operation has been a pipe dream forever and I'm glad it's seeing the light of day! Also I noticed a ton of people on the polls never really got into Warhammer Fantasy and were interested. Would highly suggest you try the book series Gotrek & Felix, they are a good read! (Also there is a strange wind symbol that shows up on screen sometimes. That's from the Nassau mod, couldn't find a way to turn it off!)

You won't see this, but here' some tips for roleplaying the Empire: What you did well: - Reiklanders making snubs at Middenland. That Middenheim college remark was beautiful. - Formation fighting. That's good. The Empire wins with human courage, discipline, and tactical skill, not by drowning foes in waves of conscripts and genetically enhanced freaks with pauldrons like a certain other Games Workshop human faction. - Plenty of comments about Sigmar. - Saying you've visited other Imperial provinces like Wissenland (Nuln). The Empire is basically Germany, so it's a lot easier for a single man to go to all those different famous places than it is in 40K. This can make for some fun jokes and comments. ("Eh, these zombies ain't that bad. Now, fighting them Norscans in Nordland, hoo, that's a doozy!" Overall, I think you guys did a great job. Everything after this is mostly if you really want to go above and beyond with being sons of Sigmar: Advice: - *The Empire is NOT the Imperium.* Pretty much everything after this is an elaboration on that. - Unlike the Imperium, the Empire is racially tolerant. Dwarfs in particular are well regarded by most Imperials, and Sigmar's friendship with them is very much remembered and (usually) maintained by both sides. (Though feel free to make jokes about other races; the Empire is basically Renaissance Germany, and most foreigners are regarded with some suspicion.) - Call out to more gods during play. The Empire is a polytheistic society, and while Sigmar is the most popular god in the Empire, Imperials pray to the other gods as well. Some good gods to beseech on the battlefield: > Shallya, goddess of mercy and healing. Probably the nicest deity in any iteration of Warhammer. Pray to her when healing or reviving your squadmates. > Morr, god of death and dreams. Guards the souls of the departed and manages the afterlife. Also Shallya's daddy. An avowed enemy of all necromancy, he's a good one to pray to when administering final rites or fighting undead. > Ulric, god of war, winter, and wolves. Probably not as popular with you Reiklanders, but he's still on your side, plus Sigmar worshipped him in life, so feel free to toss a prayer his way (or at the very least, limit your insults to his followers, not Ulric himself lest he screw you over as payback). > Myrmidia, goddess of strategy and war. Basically Warhammer Athena. Shallya's sister and Morr's daughter. She's the main deity in Tilea and Estalia and while she's not as big in the Empire, she's pretty popular in Reikland. Ask her for insight when you're in a tight spot and see if she blesses you. (And if you're confused about the Empire having three war gods, think of it like this: Ulric represents strength of body, Myrmidia represents strength of mind, and Sigmar represents strength of spirit.) > Ranald, god of trickery and luck. Gambling, thievery, and being a dashing rogue aren't really relevant on the battlefield, but you can slip in references to him during premission waits when you're telling your mates what you did last night. (You could also scream a frantic prayer to him when you're facing near certain death if you're not the more valorous type. Who knows? Maybe you can survive with a little bit of luck.) - When roleplaying a Witch Hunter, try to think like a grimdark version of Van Helsing from Dracula more than a 40K Inquisitor. You're a solo operative with limited authority over local officials tasked with rooting out corruption and evil from the Empire's lands. You can't just commandeer a regiment or lay down an Exterminatus: You have to go into that tomb or cultist's house yourself and purge the evil with fire and blade. That's the background you're working from. Remember, you are not Guardsmen. You're not expendable mooks whose lives are less valuable than the weapons and armor they carry. You are State Troops of the Empire, badass normal motherfuckers who take down Bloodthirsters with halberds, feathers, and poufy sleeves. You are the best human army in the entire Old World, the shield of civilization, and without your continued skill, heroism, and sacrifice, the Old World would have fallen long ago. Bretonnia and the southern lands flourish because you guard them from the worst. Kislev still stands because you have their back. That your people not only continue to exist, but thrive and advance in this tainted, utterly damned world, despite all the dangers and petty inter-province strife that plague them, is the ultimate vindication of you and others who have held the line for 2,500 years. So the next time you march forth from Altdorf, banners held high and horns sounding brazen and true, know that millions have stood where you do now, and you are heirs to their proud legacy. Stay strong, stay true, and guard your soul against corruption. By your toil and blood will the Empire endure. Where march you, men of Reikland, where carry you halberd and sword?
