After re-reading the whole chapter with more context. I still don’t like it but it’s not THAT BAD. I do think JJK ended to soon and needed a few more chapters cuz I still have questions, but it is what it us…and to end it all. I still hate megumi
The new shadow style domain subplot in the ending was just bad, like something that should have been somewhere else in the story but Gege loved that subplot so much he wanted to shoehorn it in no matter what. The rest is fine, it's not that bad.
@@reddytoplay9188 Yeah a perceived major plot point shouldn’t be introduced in the last couple of chapters. I dont even think the simple domain stuff was a question anybody had, hell people probably just thought simple domain was a complex technique.
Leak culture needs to absolutely die with JJK IMO. It honestly stripped people from collectively experiencing the manga the right way and royally screwed up people's perception of JJK, especially with the ending given the leakers only posted not even the entirety of the chapter, and left it like that for hours. But that's just me
Wholeheartedly agree. It takes away the feeling of a full coherent chapter drop when leaks are put out early and first impressions are confused or mad at one plot point specifically and those feelings remain for whole hours until the actual chapter comes out, to the point were most people are already stuck in their own opinions.
For me if the leaker was good I don't personally mind (for example myamura) but most of the leaker are dogshit at translating and making plot point confusing
15:13 The reason Yuji's finger didn't grow back was from what I remember is that after a certain time passes reverse curse does not work on the lost limbs and cannot grow them back
Only for the mid RCT users, it can regenerate limbs if you have mastered it, A finger was sacrificed thru a binding vow and Yuji's other finger probably healed up before he could do anything
I'd imagine BOTH fingers were given up through a binding vow. Specifically the one he lost to teach Yuta Cleave/Dismantle. It had to be a binding vow because Yuta himself states the stronger the CT, the more of the user Rika must consume. Probably the binding vow was done to get around that by preventing it from ever being recovered by RCT.
nah both were turned into cursed objects containing a part of the soul, rct can't regen that since soul and body are one according to kenjaku yall mfs need to start reading fr no funny
JJK has passed on, but the Megumi hate will never die, for as long as we live 😭🙏🏿 (But on the real tho, as rushed as this ending was, I still loved this wild ass journey ❤)
What's up with all this hate on Megumi? I have the impression that people either don't read this manga normally or they are some kind of sadists who don't understand how people react or behave in the face of tragedy.
@@alili945sure writing wise bleach isn't anything too special but the charecters, world building, fights and the otherworldly ost for the anime make it stand out. TYBW is also going on an excellent run rn idk why you don't think it's peak.
Megumi recovers from severe brain damage, cool. No funeral for Gojo, kinda messed up but forgivable. When you finally give Yuji a domain and no other information on it I just cannot forgive😭
I thought the domain was going to be yuji being able to use his memories as weapons since it appeared to have physical substance like with the archery and the crabs , which in turn would allow for the funniest application of the power of friendship in anime.
@@_General_Grievous__ nah but it is said that it was a barrage of soul targeting cleaves, even if it isn't exactly shrine we know that it does basically the same thing
The final color spread at 11:24 CROPPING OUT MY FUCKING LIGHTNING FARMER KASHIMO FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN TO SLANDER HIM ONE LAST TIME gege is getting a personal pipebomb man I HATE IT HERE
Sukunas final conversation with Mahito was really nice, because it showed in the end Sukuna wasn't a curse, he was a human capable of changing. And Mahito, who was the reflection of humanity, was even in death a true curse who would never go against or change his ideals.
17:54 the Kai in jujutsu kaisen means something like repeat or something? That's why the first opening of jjk starts and ends with the same frame and ofc jujutsu kaisen itself started and ended with the same frames
Having half of your last chapter dedicated to a random side quest with a bunch of extras is definitely... a choice. The ending as a whole is pretty meh. It's not bad enough for me to say it's trash but it's not good enough for me to say it's a decent ending, it's just... MEH.
They want to end it, with many just being kinda tired/turning into babies. (COUGH COUGH) A lot of people don’t have the mentality that people like Toriyama, Fujimoto, and Oda have: After making a series for around 100-200 chapters, it gets boring/they lose steam. Gege already made a lot of money for JJK, but if you look at his original wants for it, it was supposed to be even darker, and more edgy, but that idea was scrapped in planning due to being a shonen series. Dude wants to move on, and I respect that, I just wished that everything was explained in the end, or at least explained enough that the way the plot went didn’t feel like plotarmor :/
@@heilamwether8911it just sucks cus back then I was heavily invested in Demon Slayer, Tokyo Revengers, Attack on Titan etc then it just had to have basic ass endings smh.
Honestly? Gege trying to wrap everything up was kinda ass. Even just after the Shibuya incident we can kind of see where it all began to fall apart. BUT I liked Yuji's ending and I liked Sukuna's ending. I think it was excellent. I just think that Gege was really rushed with this whole project, mainly due to it's exponentially growing popularity. I think that it IS a good story, there are just a lot of flaws that happened because of the pressure that Gege was feeling and also the way he was trying to rush this. Most authors and screenwriters have a year or two to do this kind of stuff. Even though Gege HAD a similar amount of time, they were also working their ass off doing panels and working on it as it progressed and I think that sometimes the fights would take priority and the story would come out half-baked. I mean, Gege hardly got any time to review what they had been working on and couldn't very efficiently revise anything because of how it was released, which is where I think that the problem with how Gege produced this manga. We don't know if there was things that even Gege regretted, like not leaving space for Hakari's fight or there being no time between when Gojo was released and when Gojo fought Sukuna. Overall it is a very good story and certainly one of my favorites, but we have to remember that it was all done by one guy, and none of us are perfect.
Everyone doesn’t have to die, but I am surprised so much of the cast is still alive after the fight with Sukuna when everyone in the fandom was pretty sure they had blatantly died in the fight.
Thats not the problem, the problem is the INSANE amounts of sub plots that started and went absolutely NOWHERE. And all the fucking questions left unanswered
This ending translates to “I really don’t want to work on this anymore so I’m cutting it short.” Kenjaku was building up to being the overarching villain in the story and bro got absolutely disrespected. I thought nothing could top the MHA ending but here we are…
Yuji’s fingers are permanently damaged because Yuta states that mimicry won’t work if the person’s part he consumed is healed so Yuji basically let Yuta keep shrine
I agree with your thoughts at the end. Thanks for so much fun coverage of JJK. Can't wait to see you cover the JJK Anime when new seasons get released, and also any other stories you want to try out.
Bro this was a journey. Thank you for uploading these fr. I don’t think I read a chapter until you made a vid on it. It fun watching those chapters leaks live.
man, im gonna miss this series. even though jjk is over, im still gonna stay and watch ur videos. thanks for the journey, as this truely was our jujutsu kaisen.
@@yazzy3177real. She weakened him by stabbing his heart and while she was somewhat useless after that, as in the first round of the fight. She was needed in the second round when the jumping happened.
She could’ve killed Sukana if it weren’t for them wanting to save Megumi. If it weren’t for him Maki would’ve been the one to kill Sukana by cutting his head off.
Also 12:59 Shadow Wolf is possibly influenced by the power of DIVINE GENERAL MAHORAGA after it was killed, given how Shikigami work. We never see it do anything else which continues to prove the wasted potential of Megumi Fushiguro.
Stopped reading JJK chapters just to watch your breakdowns. I liked how you incorporated humor in these reviews that didn’t feel like cringe otaku energy and just felt like a high school friend telling you about a shared interest. Idk if you plan on covering other mangas like Sakamoto or Dandadan or dusting off that job application, but you cooked unc 💯 (Deadass how are you younger than me tho, that shit don’t sit right at all 😭)
Now my Guess on why Yuji couldnt heal both of his fingers was due to Soul Dmg now from what I have understand when Sukuna had transferred his soul to megumi, in order to do it Sukuna had to dmg Yujis soul as we can see Sukuna change the finger he used on megumi into a Sukuna finger holding all the fingers yuji had ate so far, Now as for the 2nd finger Yuji was missing my guess is RCT has a time limit on how long a wound can stay a wound before not being able to be healed anymore but that is just a small theory I have, as we know Yuji wouldnt even know RCT until Shinjuku showdown so that theory kind of proves the RCT time limit but not completely since its just a theory
@@tatzooism yeah but Yuta also says that if the person just uses RCT to heal the missing piece rika ate that piece becomes useless to rika and she wont be able to get the CT which also kind of proves my RCT time limit theory
Thank you so much for making these reviews for all this time! It's been incredibly fun to not only look forward to the chapters, but also to your own take on the matter. I'm not lying when I say that after a leaked chapter came out, I was like "oh what does Noah think about this one?" Even if JJK is over now, I'd really love to hear your overall thoughts on the manga, what you enjoyed and didn't, and if possible, perhaps make reviews on other manga? No pressure though! Either way, thank you for the fun videos! :)
