I am a Kashmiri Pandit and agree a 100% with Abhijeet. The Hindus don’t know what’s going to hit them, it will be a slow kill at the start and a violent end eventually. I hope what my forefathers went through and the kind of mental trauma it has left my community in the remaining Hindus don’t go through! 🙏🏻

I am from Assam. I am proud to be a neo vaishnav sect of Hinduism where in our namghars( a form lf temples) particularly in my sankardev sangha Brahmins dalits tribals no matter who prays and eats toegether in religious gatherings. Even narendra modi came to srimanta sankardev adhiveshan. When we have a society like these then missionaries can never convert our dalit and tribal brothers and sisters

In Meghalaya the two dominant tribes Namely 'Garo' & 'Khasi' comprises 70% of the population, they converted to Christianity in late 60s & 70s in lock, stock & barrel but the ST reservation bestowed on them despite there conversion & there cultural metamorphosis . The socio-economic disparity between Tribal and Non-Tribal Hindus is unbelievable. Its a double whammy for a person like me who is a Non-Tribal Hindu domiciled in Meghalaya. The only way to climb the socio-economic ladder in Meghalaya is to convert or rest assured your future is imperiled.

I have left India but I still can’t sleep tonight after listening to this podcast.

I was very leftists, loved Kejriwal, hated Modi, hated industrialists and hated capitalism. While living in EU, I attended christans prayer, took pride in telling people that i didnt visit temple. Today I am 180 degrees the opposite. Modi doing pooja, giving importance to Ram Mandir, visiting Kedarnath, revamping Char Dham etc. made me so curious about Hinduism that I started reading from Ramayan to Arthshashtra to books by Munshi Premchand. His lecture on privatization made me read Gurucharan Das famous books that explain capitalism for dummies. May be Modi is leftist but he can made rightist out of many. Have seen this happening to my number of friends to more or less degree. And people like Abhijit are accelerators in this process. So Abhijit, I am also scared..but I know many like me are waking up..many more will wake up. Modi is beginning.

1:11:01 this is so fucking true, I come from schedule tribe ( Santhal) who are based in jharkhand,bengal,orissa and some part of north east of which the Christian missionaries have converted huge numbers, the terrifying part is that these converts hold up to their santhali title/name so that they can enjoy reservation benefits and at the same time works voluntarily in converting more of the tribal population. The most irritating part of this is on one hand they demonize downplay our culture and religion (Church mentality of pagans being devil worshippers) but when it comes to reservation they shamelessly mention being non-christian in government documents.

It's tragic that people aren't understanding the gravity of the situation, or even listening closely to what AIM said. Please go over the talk again carefully. And for Ram's sake start demanding the freeing of all Hindu Temples, the way we demanded Ram Janmabhoomi.

my father is from south india. married my mom here in the US. we are christians. i am close to many of my father's friends and families who are hindus. in 100 years india, based on current population trends will become a muslim majority country. christianity will probably disappear. the few christians will migrate to the west. hindus will be a minority. the rich hindus will migrate. the poor hindus will be left behind. india will become a larger size pakistan. it is very depressing to think of this about my father's beloved country. he loved india. because of family financial difficulties he came to US and supported his entire family. hindus are some of the nicest people. they have many temples here in the US. it will be a loss for the world if the indian culture turns islamic. very depressing topic.

This is true. The main problem is we never showed the minorities that Hindus are the boss in India. If that was done and established in the previous centuries, the liberal attitude would have worked now. That didn't happen.

Wow, I was wanting to become an atheist, coz of so many illogical themes and gender biases in hinduism .. But the very thought of getting converted is scary coz there r even worser doctrines out there. So for now, I think I will stick on to Hinduism and support it.. Wat Abhijit said is actually right, which most indians know, but have a dekha jayega attitude towards it.. Which is even scary..

One more thing that is not discussed in Hindu society is the brith rate, Hindus need to have as many children as possible to have a growing population.

I too want to see these medias banned in India, but then where will we have rightist views like from people like Abhijit, Opindia, sab lok tantra etc. Even if right to left ratio on these platforms is like 30 to 70..but we at least have 30%. There is a dire need to create an ecosystem in Hinduism where schooling, reservations, employment, temple community culture, healthcare and social benefits are interlinked so that people can be incentivized to proudly practice hinduism. The central govt can't bring changes overnight, there are hundreds of socioeconomic concerns to be addressed first, so that the people's basic needs are addressed first, economy is stabilized. Sanatana dharma aka Hinduism is not going to go off from the land, as it's not book read and getting registered. It's a culture. It's engrained in everyone. We have to introduce the dharma or righteousness, in curriculum, which will make a student be a rounded person. Then students can take up whatever fields they want to pursue.

We all knew in heart where we are headed. Just couldn't pinpoint it...AIM just put the definition on it through historical parallels...

Another thing to mention is that conversion rates follow exponential models and not linear ones. So more the converts the more faster the rest are converted

I loved how AIM walked us through historical timelines and major religious/political milestones that led to the spread of Islam and Christianity and how he drew parallels to elucidate his point. I don't necessarily agree with all of his views, however the central message that he has tried to convery is very relevant and impactful. Hindus must do the following- 1. Drop all the jaati/varna nonsense and consolidate as one community. 2. Stop infighting over my god or my sampradaya(tradition) is better than your's...Although this has drastically come down since the past few centuries. 3. While retaining our inclusive, open-minded culture and acceptance of others, we must assertively stand up for ourselves and stop being treated like a doormat...we must stop being a pushover. Throw political correctness into the garbage where it belongs and tackle pseudo- secularism head on. 4. While Hinduism doesn't rely on economic/socio structural incentives to sustain itself (as it views dharma as a way of life and process for self-realization/emancipation...it is time that we create support economic and social support systems just like AIM mentioned, to ensure the less fortunate ones in the society are not lured via forced / economic conversions. 5. Bring Uniform Civil Code asap and de-link governance and religion. 6. Use the power of our vote to make politicians understand that we mean business. The world understands only power and money. Everything boils down to "what do I gain" or "what will I lose" if I take a certain course of action... If Hindus become a minority in India, then the very existence of all other minorities in india such as Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis, and the LGBTQ+ community will be threatened. Wherever the Abrahamic faiths have gone, they have wiped out the native civilizations..Time to wake up!

Every Indian should listen to this podcast. Abhijit Iyer JI is a very good and inspiring religious historic teacher. The language is very simple but very clear and powerful.

I agree with Abhijit. I'm a Bengali and my grandparents had to leave east Bengal during partition. I know what will happen once Hindus become minority. My family has seen the bloodshed. I would rather die than convert to any other religion. I feel so sad seeing how the present government is treating other religions on the tax money of a few and denigrating the majority religion every chance they're getting, including the judiciary. I share Abhijit's concerns. You may laugh now sir but one day you'll laugh no more. The way east Bengal went, kerala is going, the rest of the country will follow. We aren't even allowed to have gurukuls to teach religious texts to the children whereas others get to keep madarsas and even churches give Bible lessons. We are treated like 8th class citizens in our own country. I'm scared for the Hindu survival in our own ancestral lands

I think vast majority of the damage has been done by caste discrimination. Dr. Ambedkar himself advised the depressed classes to convert to Buddhism. But it's too late to rectify the situation.

Not to drown in the surface policies and reforms but constant hammering of these 4-5 basic reforms,as these form the foundation of state.

As said Knowledge is power, another important step is opening educational institutions across the nations like madrasas where kids and adults will be taught religious texts , different hindu philosophies without any barriers of caste and religion along with scientific subjects like maths science literature...Much like madrasa schools. The disconnection of hindu masses with their religious knowledge, texts , sanskrit is also pushing our generations towards ignorance. Make legit courses on such hindu studies in universities much like islamic study and Islamic history is taught in various universities. No change is possible without mass awareness through knowledge about your own culture and religions.

Salams, As a Muslim in Canada that listened to the entire podcast. I applaud the guest for this great knowledge of Global History, human motivation, as well as his important messages. That BJP/RSS focuses less on populism(that is doing nothing to uplift the poverty of the masses, yet great for vote bank ). Put, focus on economic independence of existing Temples, and building schools and hospitals to raise a healthier Bharat.

I keep on hearing both of you. I follow you on twitter also. It is such a pleasant experience to listening to you both in these hour long academic discourse, dismantling and displaying historical events just as the motor repairing school instructor dismantles a car and shows it to the trainees. I think every person having any connection with academic world must have a sense of history to understand the contemporary world and events of past and present.

Biggest take back from this whole talk. As an ordinary citizen and hindu remember contributions of Dalits to this whole civilization/country.

Thank you for these insights, AIM. A few point to note: 1. Brilliant insights based on an objective assessment of data from unusual though factual and reliable sources that cannot be found elsewhere 2. The only feedback for AIM is that such content with this level of analysis is not easy to digest for most and ask sensible questions in a live session. Even the host was certifying inane questions as 'good'. Also certain terms as theology were not clear as to the context on why they were such big drivers (lack of theology for the fall of roman pagans. Dictionary didn't help.) So appreciate if you could briefly contextualize these key definitions in the video itself. 3. Obviously the video intended to serve as a wakeup call. But appreciate on what Hindus can tangibly do to see results and remain resilient. 'getting the BJP MP by the balls and squeeze hard' etc. needs some elaboration. It's purely your call if you want to do this, but this would be super helpful. 🙏🏻
