Interesting, I'm curious to see if the concept of "if everything is special, nothing is special" will be true later in the S&V era and after that. The cards are turning in to art more and more. So the alternatives to these mega expensive cards will increase more and more. So maybe they are worth it but not sure they will actually sell. Fun trends to watch!

what people don't realize is how many people desire these swsh alt art chase cards. if my modern chase is a moonbreon10 i don't have the luxury to keep a personal copy and buy a second one to flip during the pump, i'm not going to sell it. same goes for most of the people holding their single copy of one of 14000 psa 10s. there may be 7000 psa10s for a rayquaza vmax but how many people in the world desire that card and don't want to pay 2k+ for a blue sky stream jpn version. essentially there's way more pokemon modern collectors than there are population 10s for these chase alt arts, which is why it makes sense they are going back up, it's overdue.

The people yelling to sell before they tank are also the ones sitting there buying yours you list... You as why is there only 50 Umbreon available, because the people the masses hear as fact own 10+% of them. Im sure 10% isnt the right number but when they sell at the highest dont be surprised who is the people holding the cards you sold. It likely is the one who told you to sell!! This is my favorite channel out there for information!!! Thank you for the content!

My son (11) has a PSA 10 giratina alt. He pulled it and we sent it in to get graded. I told him he can't sell that card until he's older. Yes it's his but I wanna show him the power of holding. He wanted to sell when the reprint happened and LO dipped. Now it's gaining again. Good knowledge being had over here.

Isn’t it good to take profits though? Can’t keep holding forever. Can you lmk if this is smart… I was gonna sell my cosmic booster box to take my gains and buy other products that have the chance to double quicker. Do you find as booster boxes get to the $1000 plus mark they become harder to sell?

It's happened before too, I'm not saying Pokemon will become worthless, but less people will be buying it and pulling their resources twords other things

How do you know that sealed is not manipulated? You have a couple of cases of certain sets yourself, you have nothing or at least not everything for sale at once do you? How do you know there are not at least 10 people for every person openly showing it on youtube that have the same amount of cases? Or maybe more?

Thats what I have heard the last 9 years. Then when evolutions went from 80 to 1000 a box you never seen all of those people with all of those cases dump so where are they. We saw it with Team up and Cosmic Eclipse, and now with Evolving skies. All of those sets still sell and are near if not at their all time highs. I don't think there are as many people doing it or holding long term as it it portrayed.

@@NostalgiaNomics I know I'm holding stuff, not in case quantities but at least a couple of booster boxes of certain sets. And if I'm doing that, why won't someone else? Maybe on the initial total supply it is neglitiable but in terms of current prices regarding sun & moon and also sword and shield sets I cant imagine there arent people holding multiples of quantities that I have. There must be many people out there, as if you search for investors on youtube you can already find alot that show it, there must be many more under the radar.

@pokeymonster ya of course there are more people out there doing it but I just believe there are more people that want them and will continue to want them in the future. Now I do usually move out of position when boxes reach certain price points or age quite a bit and roll the money into the new sets to maximize my gains and stay with the liquid boxes.

Well I tell you why there are no such big chase cards on the market - I own Gengar, Giratina, Espeon, Mewtwo (mewtube) and other many big cards and in terms of singles I act as a simple collector. I buy and I keep it in my binder. I totally do not care how much the card is, whether it is rising or falling. I like the card irrespective of the value it is currently at. I assume this is a thinking of every second collector. If I want to invest, I buy sealed (have a lot of it).

To be clear I don't expect any alt arts to fall soon. However I think they'll struggle over a long term 10+ year timeframe. I don't think they're bad purchases, I think they're bad investments.

I agree. I think there’s maybe another 10-20% to run. With the high pops, They’re so easy to find on X or eBay or Mercari. So many resell sites.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I think people cling to the pop reports and the supply and forget the positives too often. I guess we will see as time goes on...

@@dominickmagoon5731 1. There's a lot of them out there, they have no organic rarity. 2 The alt arts (Including SIRs, Sun and Moon alts etc) are relatively new. Pokémon is continuing to make more which could take attention away from the current crop. Some will probably stand the test of time but I'm not sure which ones. Probably Moonbreon and Giratina but after that I have no idea. 3. Pop reports are fine if demand keeps up but none of us can predict future demand. I can see a world where they go up but I'm not convinced in their ability to beat other investments. That being said I hope they 10x and everyone makes loads of money.
