Given that Chris Jericho has called Santino "a pathological liar but in a fun way", I cannot believe anyone believes a word out of his mouth. He lied about his near miss with the Olympics, lied about his OVW time, lied about Cornette calling him, lied in court about his wife and was fined six figures for perjury, lied about his merch sales, lied about his mma record, like about his amateur wrestling record, lied about his taxes and lost his gym, lied about being offered a NJPW contract, lied about having an affair with several divas and had to go see WWE HR, lied about how much he was paid, lied about how he "blew OVW away because he was just so good in the ring" and that's just off the top of my head. There's a squaredcircle reddit thread that has all his proven lies. At least when Cornette lies it's to make a story better. Santino is just pathetic and lying to try and make himself sound cool.

That's why everyone listens to his podcast and gets angry at him. That's why every AEW show has fans with Cornette shirts holding Cornette centric signs. That's why the Young Bucks named their pissy book after a phrase he made popular. That's why CM Punk referenced a running joke from his podcast on TV. That's why MJF frequently quotes him during promos and media scrums. That's why he constantly trends on Twitter. Face it. He's the most relevant man in wrestling that's not under a contract. And right now he's more relevant than he's been in years.

I don't think Jim really cares about that, he legitimately just doesn't care about his wrestling style. There are TONS of wrestlers he doesn't want to he successful that are. And tons that he loves that aren't. The thing is, Kenny's on a lot of AEW TV time and he's watching it. So, of course, he is gonna dislike what he sees. He's also inspiring other wrestlers in that style, which, of course, Jim doesn't like. I don't think it has to do with being successful or anything.

Nah. He just hates Kenny Omega because he's done embarrassing and insulting things to a business that Cornette has dedicated pretty much his entire life to. Imagine that! Put yourself in his position. You've spent years in a business literally fighting for your life; people trying to stab you, people pulling guns on you, throwing rocks at you, throwing cups of piss on you and all kinds of wicked shit like that and you endure it and love every moment of it because that's part of your dream job and you're doing it all for kayfabe which is the true art of the profession. You wouldn't be happy seeing people make a mockery of it either. Kenny Omega calls what he does art. Any dipshit with athletic ability can learn how to do moves. It takes actual talent to make people believe what they're seeing is legitimate.

It was his first day and Santino wasn't told anything. He was sitting with his young daughter and didn't want to frighten her. It was basically a wrong place at the wrong time situation. It was an error by somebody at OVW for letting that happen. To have venomous hate for somebody about that shows what kind of person he is.

Nah, cornette held pretty much identical opinions when he was relevant. The industry has definitely left him behind but Cornettes always had these opinions on wrestling. It's not a jealousy thing. As Dave Meltzer put it - pro wrestling is the one thing Cornette loves and because of that he also hates it more than anyone.

Also Devon Nicholson, The Miz, Tim Horner, Kevin Nash, Wade Keller and Rick Bassman.

And he's got a good reason to hate almost every one of these guys.

Also they were in a hotel lobby not a schoolyard and they are grown up men, not teenagers. Walking away was the only good decision and Santino should have acted like an aduld and either talked to him in an acceptable manner or not talk to him at all.

Cornette's credibility takes a bit of a hit when you pay attention to him critiquing a match with wrestlers he doesn't like or care about, and you catch him doing things like criticizing stuff that *didn't happen.* His biases can be so strong that he can see what he wants to see rather than reality.

Instead Santino decided to play the role stooge, so he called Johnny Ace and told him a big schoolyard sob story in an effort to get gain favor and get a job... As far as Vince Russo goes, there's a lot of wrestlers and wrestling fans that wouldn't mind relieving themselves on Russo's final resting place.
