Agree should of been prosecuted for smashing the door in, but Scott hinds is a BAD officer. He always says it's the debters fault, but in a small few cases, it's not always there fault. They are good people or elderly that have just struggled for a bit. Understand there's always a claimant owed money, but again small few occasions they have pushed it to the high court for no real honest reason.

I know we in the U.S. have a major issue of unaffordable housing, major cities with high numbers of homeless citizenry, and property owners being taken advantage of by a growing squatter epidemic. These U.K. debt collectors and eviction agency's methods may seem harsh but what else can be done to deal with these issues unless here in America we need to rethink our materialistic consumer society?
You can in essence agree with the homeless plight, but it ends when you see what squatters do to the buildings they squat in. The stress they cause the owners is a different matter. If they simply left when the owners want to reclaim, again respect would be chance but they dont and make it cost thousands

How did that one person manage to pay a $10K lb debt the next day but had problems with his monthly payments? The owner of that restaurant allowed his debt to grow to 75K pounds and has a lot of nerve in trying to get away from the assets being removed/ What about the property owner? He has been taken advantage of by an unscrupulous individuaL.

Well it would obviously depend on many factors. How large is the debt, what kind of debt, who is the debt owned to etc. once you leave to go the US, you won't be there to stop them taking away any of your remaining possessions. If it something like credit card debt, MasterCard and visa operate globally and may be able to still chase you down. If you move to the US, you can still be sued from another country, albeit it would most likely be expensive and very complicated. Debt collection agency in the US could be Involved In very serious cases, the UK and US have a strong extradition treaty so I dunno, could be a possibility.

Because the guy chose not to press charges. You see it a lot with these enforcement officers - they seem to not want to bother pressing charges, probably because it’s a headache for them, given the amount of nonsense they have to deal with.
The law needs to change the police should be able to move travellers on. Then companies shouldn't be allowed to rack up massive debts then just walk away
As much as i agree with the need enforcement officials and that a debt is a debt and needs to be repayed I was completely with you up until the last chap, he seems to also be a victim and the officer had a wholly smug look on his face as he said "This piece of paper gives me the right". Surely in the instance of chain of custody then it is on the enforcement body to notify ALL that are affected? Or is that just plausible deniability?
I was going to see this, but checked to see if someone said it first. Before someone is evicted with no notice, it should be mandatory that they are notified certified mail. And they could have saved their last few months of rent money as well.
In my opinion the last eviction of the student tenants was really sad to see. They didn't do anything wrong at all. I hope that loop hole has been closed so they have a bit more time to sort them selves out.

I think it is great that the person who assaulted that officer did not get charged! Truly marvellous! After all the officers and the Enforcers lover to abuse their powers in order to justify their authority.

Yes I’m glad there’s actually someone with some sanity in the comments, I’m glad I’m not in any debt and they can’t enforce in Scotland because if they tried to treat me the way they treat others someone would end up seriously hurt 🤦🏻♂️
