It lapped in Bathurst Australia about 1.58. Lap record is J Button in an F1 car 1.48, so this thing is quick to get within 10 sec. It was about 5 sec quicker than the 12 hour GT cars like AMG, Aston Martin, Bentley and Porsche.
WOW just WOW hahaha that is fookin beyond sorry my french =) But will it be a street car?? If it could do that in aa street trim i would have begun to sell my arms and all kinda shit to get it right awaay heheh =) Sure never gonna happen but still daym impressive!! Sure you miss the slikcs and those do wonders to DF you can adjust more DF when you use slicks due to the friction slicks creats over cup2R /kuhmo v750/trofeo etc..
Jenson's lap at Bathurst was slow, he was not pushing at all, it was just a press day and they weren't even expecting to do the run at all. He just went around the mountain cautiously, that time isn't representative at all of an F1 car's pace.
So glad to see the Brabham name back on a car, such a great achievement in Australian motoring history, to build , race and win against the World's best 👍
Jan Christian Frodahl that car was made with speed in mind, this car (as the person mentioned) was made with aerodynamics in mind the fact that it has 700HP and is only 970KG is because with all that aero it should have some kind of speed right?
LMFAO i get out loads mate im on paternity leave i work 6 days a week and spend loads of time on my project car go to car fests meet with a few ppl to go up a strip of road in our cars near welton i was out in the garden this morning meeting up with owen friday to go for a bez but yeah i do need to get out more appreciating a a 700 hp N.A engine though sony bass speakers makes me 1 of them ppl who stay in ............🤔
LMFAO sorry bud iv had alot of arguments on here but was being cocky my bad you didnt put any emoji or lols at the end so i just pulled a gun st8 up but uv got to admit the acoustics on that exhaust set up are very very different and finding different is hard production cars is hard especially when everyone is turbo chargering
McLaren didn't care about looks when designing the Senna, these guys did. He said it several times in the video, that they wanted to have high downforce while still having a good looking car. They made the right choice when it's your only car. McLaren already made a good looking track monster, the P1 GTR, now they looked into making the fastest possible car.
The paintwork and finish is sublime and that rear end is mean. The sound it makes is why battery power belongs in vacuum cleaners not track weapons. This things is an animal, with that down force and power to weight ratio it has the potential to murder alot of the competition. Interesting to see what racing categories they can slot it in or adapt it to
I love the comments about how un-revolutionary this car is by everyone who will never be able to afford this or even see it. Here's another: It looks as good as any other supercar, has the Brabham name on the back and THAT SOUND! Awesome car. I hope the factory or a lucky owner allows Carfection to drive one!
Did he say 970kg?!?!?! 😲😲😲😲 If that's what I heard, you should say that RIGHT AWAY along the downforce, not 5 minutes in the video. It just became 1.000.000 more attractive
Rhino the colour scheme is Australian green and gold. I am certain that Jack (B)rabham and Ron (T)auranac would want you to appreciate the difference, as you admire the BT 62.
So awesome the Grandkids of Jack still at it😁 Mum was neighbor in Pyrford, Surrey where these kids fathers were jus kids themselves. Mum was friend with Jack and actually had couple of his street Brabhamized cars. I remember, Mum tells best, walking a Corvette in a Brabhamized Audi 100 with hubby in passenger seat and me, brother and sister in back🤦🏻♂️ Love my Mum😁🤣
Engineering tour de force coupled with real world racing experience, I love the subtle styling cues, such as the semi exposed rear tyre harking back to the old brabham f1 (maybe just a coincidence )
Beautiful car looks alittle like the fordGT in the front section. I understand why small companies make track only cars less regulations. But the advantage of making a street legal car is people can see it driving good pub. Look at the apollo IE people go nuts seeing it on the road. Will anyone ever see this car driving
Allen: actually looks like the Ford GT that Ford didn't build, the one with a naturally aspirated built Ford Coyote V8 based engine (yes that is a tweeked Ford V8 rebranded engine in there).
If Gt1 or Gtp came back this would be a contender. Like Panoz back in the 90’s. Update. The car has been scheduled to be entered for Le Mans 2021 in the new prototype class. 🥳🙌🏻.
The best Aussie Muscle Super Car ever, whens the models coming, as Im a bit short in cash for the real one cheers KC Tasmania Australia Awesome job mate
Remember Brabham who the Drivers F1 world championship in a Brabham. That Driver and Owner and Constructor, F1 World Championship!! That like Enzo winning F1 Drivers Championship!! That like Bernie Ecclestone winning F1 Drivers Championship!! Good luck to all!! Keep the dream alive!!❤❤
one of my new favorite cars hands down without a doubt. that sound is music to my ears. too bad i will never be able to own one or ever see one in real life
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAR I HV EVER SEEN!😍😍😍😍😍 Even better than Ferrari or all other manufactures! I finally find a car that I am astonished and have no complains in every single line! 😍
the sound and the design gave me the proper tingles! cannot wait for the fia to pass th GTp rules and for the gt1 beasts like these to rule the lemans again!
saw this car at Bathurst last weekend - a feature of Liquimolly 12hr weekend / they hoped to break lap record. driven by local Supercar hero, Luke Youlden, they smashed it. sounds glorious too, must have opened a few eyes of the international GT teams present, Aston, Mercedes, McLaren, Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo etc
After David said it had a near 50:50 weight distribution I had to check. Autocar reported it has a 41:59 which is nowhere near that. If that's the case, I cant really take David seriously other than being a figurehead of the company.
700 hp from 5 litre V8, without Turbo or hybrid?!!! Car weighs under 1 tonne, that's 700bhp/tonne, Is there a car out there with better power to weight ratio?
Yup, I know of one. However they are so rare and nobody is talking about them. So until I find one and buy it I won't say the name. However to summarize, yes, there is a super car from 20th century under a ton with a 700hp and manual transmission
I keep getting hit with the same question of myself when people ask what the weight distribution of the vehicle is...yes, while the vehicle is standing still and during slow cornering the static balance is important but what is the FUNCTIONAL WEIGHT BALANCE at various speeds and how much does it change with the changing angle of the air over the vehicle? How dynamic is the changing of the downforce on various parts of the vehicle and is it a vehicle that is inherently more electric in its vibrations or is it a calming force in the cockpit? Beautiful steed, David!
