"Dont really pay attention to the story or the lore" is only true if you're a casual gamer who grew up in the AAA game Era. If you've played the first game, you have been waiting a long time to see the consequences of the first galactic war. The living story of this game is amazing and we've yet to even scratch the surface.

The mention of malevalon creek caused me to have flashbacks i cannot describe, there are specific memories that I will always never forget, and I had only seen Malevalon creek at the very end of it being under automaton control in the middle of march

Wow, forget WarHammer. Helldivers has the worst humanity i´ve ever seen. The Imperium might be way worse in general, but you can atleast understand why, when looking at the rest of the warhammer universe. Super Earth has practicly the opposite of that excuse.

What's really impressive is that the Automatons created the Largest most ferocious vanguard attack that Super Earth believed they were throwing everything they had at them, when in actuality They were just softening them up for their real attack. Now that's real strategic planning.

I like to think as the game gets older, all the newer recruits have died/ended their service and super Earth has started to use divers from the first war/soon after when training and experience was hardcore.
