For me arthurs death is worse than john's. Arthur death was a sacrifice to save john marston and his family. "....Revenge is a fool game..." (arthur speaking to dutch in chapter 1) "run away, and don't look back" (Arthur speakimg to john in chapter 6) By this to quotes by arthur makes his death worse since john ignores both of this quotes. He look back and seek for revenge. And by this act john got death in rdr1. In simple words arthurs death was inevitable so he use the time remaining than he got for help others. While john's death could easily be avoided by listening to arthur. Which make arthur wiser. "You have to start thinking arthur. I know you want to pretend being the fool man than does not know nothing. But I see it, you are smarter than you appear." (Hosea speaking to arthur)
I like the idea of uncle being red harlow. He didn’t mind letting the tales be exaggerated because it would make it harder for people to associate a larger than life hero of folk lore with a laid back shirker like himself. Plus if it’s true, Red’s story begins with his family dying at the ranch, and ends with him dying at another ranch to save the family he found.
I worked in EPS and it will break the strongest of men, even if we dont lose our families. Being a guard dog for humans is dehumanizing. You will grow cold, or you will go mad. I need a few beers.
I was gone from the camp for almost a month and change randomly coming into Valentine on a stolen lumber wagon for an odriscol to be waiting talking trash and I’m trying to be high honor but get off to confront him about to take out my knife and out from behind the wagon uncle pops up doesn’t even say a word and puts the guy in a choke hold and makes him go night night Uncle is good in my book
The story is bullshit and the characters are stupid fools..... RDR 2 was hyped but after playing solo...... glad i wasn't on the hypetrain and wasted 60 bucks on this crap
High honor help John he coughed in his face and calls him black lung meanwhile high honor go back for the money half blinds him I think it's just supposed to give Micah something to remember him by if he has high honor
I truly believe Red Dead 3 needs to be a prequel to Red Dead 2 set in 1869-1899 about the origins and formation of the Van der Linde gang, Dutch's early young days before the gang. 3 playable characters and prologue parts 1 & 2, 2 chapters and epilogue parts 1 & 2 Dutch as the character of the prologue - beginning Mac as the character of the chapters - middle Arthur as the character of the epilogue - end Missions ought to be the acquaintances of everybody, Hosea Arthur, John, the Callender brothers, Jenny, Sean, Lenny, Javier, Bill and Micah, robberies of banks and trains, holding people ransom, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, association with Colm O'Driscoll turning into the bitter rivalry, killings of Colm's brother and Annabelle and the Blackwater ferry shootout in 1899 being the final mission of the game. I don't care if anybody thinks the Van der Linde gang story is finished because no it's not. We need the origin story so a trilogy in reverse. If the title needs to be changed in order to fit the story, then fine but make the game a origin story about the gang that's what matters. Maybe from "Redemption" to "Revolution" or "Redemption III: Blackwater" Red Dead Redemption 3 - (1869-1899) gang origin formation Red Dead Redemption 2 - (1899-1907) gang deterioration and downfall Red Dead Redemption (1911-1914) gang extermination
I’ve only played RDR2 but I know the story of RDR1 and it’s really hard to say which is better. Both are excellent. It’s a shame that they never updated the look of RDR1 when they rereleased it (it would’ve been cool to see it with RDR2’s detail. Not a necessity at all though.)
He shot him because he realized Micah was their downfall. He knew how to feed the flames of Dutch bad ideas or give him bad ideas himself.before he always had hosea and arthur telling him when his plan was crap. It's always nice to drift away from life and fall away into fiction (be it a magazine article, video game, movie, TV show, or book). Nothing better than feeling like you're dealing with other people's problems for a minute.
I feel Dutch killed Micah cause he'd get John to think he changed and maybe pocket some money before he left. A win win. If he really was a changed man all of red dead 1 wouldn't have happened cause he still wasn't a good person at all
It's obvious that Micah was the rat, but what makes it 100% obvious to me is that Milton likely told Arthur that Micah was the rat because he believed that he was going to kill Arthur in that scene.
I noted in the game that Arthur was more kinder to Uncle as opposed to John. But then Arthur was more of a lighthearted individual, where John would seemingly have to have be threatened with having hot irons put to his feet to get him to seemingly crack a smile. That said, Uncle would actually be an interesting protagonist for RDR3, to explore his background and see what made Uncle into the man he was in RDR1 and RDR2. Hes old enough to have been a veteran of the Civil War, seeing he's probably somewhere in his 50s at the time of RDR2, perhaps older, so that if that's incorporated into his backstory, it could make for an interesting storyline.
Being from the tribal nation i always wanted a game where you play a full blood tribal but don't get me wrong i love character like Charles, red Harlow, homie from assholes greed Connor can't stand when people call him full blood or the native American his daddy is the white Templar from over the pond. Always hear well that game features natives no it featured a half white half native American i am 100 percent sure this is when dei started.
I feel like if Hosea had survived the Bank job the gang would not have shattered the Way it did I think it would have just splinter into two groups Micah and Dutch , and Hosea and Arthur
If he was a rat he definitely would have left a long time ago. Also, Arthur was right when he said that they were sloppier than a town drunk. All of the things the van der linde gang did from chapter one to six was definitely very obvious to the pinkertons that it was the van der linde gang.
I always saw Hosea as the one who tried to open the eyes of everyone, perhaps he didn't knew how to send the message, that's why John didn't undestood his point, still, Hosea would've left long ago, but he did cared for everyone in the camp, Dutch included, and that's why he stayed, he wanted all to live and knew that everything was going down with the gang :/ I sure miss this old man :(
for a game about you being an outlaw, the game sure does everything in its power to prevent you from being an outlaw, should be a choice and the bounty system balanced around that, not "be good cuz the game told you to"
Before even watching, it’s obvious Khans biggest flaw was adaptation, he was expecting a honorable and noble enemy but Jin’s desperation led to a evolution and khan didn’t have a plan for that
Micah represents the player who thinks they're being smooth by picking all the right dialogue options. Seen from an outside perspective as a gamer, you can readily recognize how absurd the dialogue choices are that Micah uses. Which is why you're shocked to see them swaying Dutch despite Micah's cartoonishly evil character. I think it's a tongue in cheek snubbing of the type of roleplaying trope that exists in gaming. Be grateful you weren't given the chance to be Micah. What an asshole!
