The ironic thing about Sebastian's story is that it was arguably the best in the game and yet, it's one of the only ones left unresolved. Anne is still cursed, Sebastian still can't find a cure. Apparently this is a curse that doesn't end with the creator's death, given Anne is still cursed after we kill Rockwood.
Yeah but honestly I like that twist. Sometimes in the HP world things just end badly for some characters. Lupin was always a werewolf, Bill and George were always permanently disfigured, Neville's parents never recovered. It really is how things work in the real life.
@@CherryJuli Could have been a nice twist though - if we cured her with an ancient magic, erasing all of her emotions and creating a ruthless psychopath villain for the sequel.
I have literally searched fanfics for anything that would help this story progress, found nothing unfortunately, Even though they did announce that there would be no DLC storyline or any quest, we should petition so we maybe they will give a DLC specifically for Sebastian so we can choose how to continue his story.
Sirius black of gaunt family. Actually that's what I think of him for his loyalty towards his friends and rebellious attitude against his family. not his overall character though. Canon or not Slytherin's presented in a good way in the wizarding world at last Which I doubt JK Rowling herself would ever do. Though if we count that mobile game hogwarts mystery Then there's Slytherin characters like barnaby and liz. Btw, I'm not a Slytherin.
@@charliecomer6001I think alwaysplotting meant the gaunt family, not the Slitherin house. Most of the house of Gaunt aren’t too dissimilar to their ancestor, and thus, 🥰Ominis🥰, Noctua and Voldemort’s mother (whose name has escaped me😅) are the “few good apples” 😊
@@Doomergedon i dont think you can count meroupe gaunt (voldemort's mother) as a good apple yeah she was abused and that made her sympathetic, but dont forget she drugged tom riddle sr with a love potion and concieved a child with him while he was under the influence
I want to know how Nati’s animal form made her a better spy: “What was that.” “No worries mate. It’s just one of those elusive English gazelles.” “Oh, right. Too bad they’re so common on the English isles, otherwise we might’ve made money selling it to the weirdly numerous poachers out here.”
So glad you did this! I thought the story of Hogwarts Legacy was pretty good! I didn't like how the trials felt very "do this then that then this" kind of linearity but the Sebastian questline made up for that.
True. It would have been great through if we learned more about Ominis and the Gaunts in General through - if he's actually Marvolo's brother and therefore Voldemort's Granduncle, maybe about some kinky incest shennanigans, what do I know? It does seem a bit like they wasted the potential of having a Gaunt in the Game...
@@CadeTheBoss good point 😂 but jokes aside, she seemed to push against the idea of going against rookwood&harlow at times. In the end she didn't do anything against the pure blooded, old family name wielding a-hole rookwood. I guess he had her on his payroll.
@@KaminkaeseLmao this is what i was trying to say to someone who was defending Sebastians Uncle who is a lore accurate authority figure who refuses to listen to someone else even though you provide concrete evidence of your enemies wrong doings and also i argued with someone who made many comments how Sebastian should be in jail and his uncle not deserving that death which i think he deserved it
Hogwarts Legacy 2? Anne's curse gets worse and starts infecting everyone else prompting MC, Sebastian and Ominous to work together to find a cure only to find out that they have to sacrifice Anne for the greater good.
For those of you who don't know this about Hogwarts Legacy, the game has exclusive Hogwarts House quests. The Search for Richard Jackdaw quest is different for each Hogwarts House you belong to. WARNING, SPOILERS; This video showed you the Hufflepuff version which in my opinion is the most intriguing out of all of them. The Slytherin version takes you to meet with the Headmaster's House Elf named Scrope. He then sends you to a secret cave with a mural of the Giant Squid. When you put a piece of toast that Scrope gives you on a pedestal a hole appears and that leads you to another cave where you will find Richard Jackdaw. The Ravenclaw version has Mr. Olivander asking you to find an heirloom wand that has been in the family for centuries. The quest sends you to the Hogwarts Owlery where you have to solve a puzzle that then causes Richard Jackdaw to reveal himself. He says he left the wand with his body when he died. The Gryffindor version has you meeting with Nearly Headless Nick. He asks you to retrieve a rotten piece of meat from the Hogwarts Kitchen where you also get to meet a kind elf. Then Nearly Headless Nick takes you to the Headles Hunt in a graveyard in Hogsmeade. You present the rotting meet to the ghost in charge and he lets you play in the Headless Hunt as a means of finding Richard Jackdaw. 🏰🕵♀️🔍🪄👻🎮
But it looks like Hufflepuff is the most accurate to the main storyline. Morgan had his character in Gyffrindor for his playthrough video with his friends. So he must have researched the other houses before getting help to play for footage for this video
This game was so much fun to play. I played through it four times, one for each house starting with my own house, Ravenclaw. I hope we get another game like that in the future, or maybe even an update to the current game.
When I first heard about the game, I didn’t think it’d actually exist or come out. I just wanted to use the 3 unforgivable curses, and the game delivered. I was pleased.
Sebastian story is my favorute by far, but I do love Poppys story as well. She's an absolute sweetheart and my favorite character, second only to Sebastian of course
Having just finished the entire video, I truly want to thank you for uploading this. At the end when Natty realizes it’s not her fault her dad died, it was just protective instinct, that truly hit home for me. In 2020 my beloved son Kyle was murdered by my abusive ex. I’ve blamed myself ever since. But Natty made me see the light. We were there because my instinct wanted to give him a warm bed rather than be on the streets. It wasn’t my fault I was just trying to protect him. And in the end he protected me. He intervened one day when Sean was going on the rampage. He stepped in between us to try and protect me. It cost him his life. But after watching this video, I’ve had an epiphany. You and Natty may have actually saved my life. ❤ Rip Kyle
My biggest problems with Sebastian’s quest is there wasn’t much choice other than saying things and learning/not learning the unforgivables but no like stopping Sebastian or turning him in after casting one unforgivable
@@Buhyeu I meaannnnn fair enough but like, you gonna turn him in for using crucio on you in that one scene (which btw you can also cast on him so he could theoretically turn the MC in) or when he saves his sister? Also his story is already finished with out closure, turning him in earlier would just completely break it I think
Im surprised you only explained the Hufflepuff version of Jackdaws quest, since it gives you additional information/different quest about him depending on which house you are.
@@Zlittlepenguin They added the most depth and lore to the Hufflepuff one and it obviously is the one where she gets freed/the happy ending. I feel as if it is the most "canon" version.
@@heirofthestars sure maybe for that mission I can see what you’re saying. I personally feel like ravenclaw is “more cannon” in the context of the entire game though, but maybe that’s just me 😅
@@Zlittlepenguin Ah well it all depends. You can be an evil Slytherin, a nature (plants & beasts) obsessed Hufflepuff, a strategic Ravenclaw, a Gryffindor potion expert, etc. There are so many story possibilities and it all depends on how you play it. But considering the scene of the Hufflepuff character is the most canonical-like, perhaps the MC is actually a good hufflepuff with the good ending being the canon version. I personally play as a Slytherin but don't think the evil MC ending is the correct one as we never seem important in Hogwarts history.
This is a really fun game. The hardest part for me is trying to complete certain assignments. Especially when you have to buy things. Other than that, I enjoy exploring the castle and doing things with Sebastian. Also I like how you say “we” and “us” when you’re talking about the fifth year. It’s like you’re talking to the ones who play the game. I know I do.
word of advice; catch extra beats and sell them, and sell any clothes below your current HP, also merlin trials help with opening more inventory 💗💗 happy playing!!
@@likecascade7015 another good way is going into ashwinder camps or goblin camps, also doing random things like astrology tables & quittich landing pads
Yeah game was pretty fun especially because of the nostalgia. Extremely disappointing main story though, but it’s still a very respectable starting point of more wizarding world games are to follow.
Another amazing video Morgan. I really liked parts of the Hogwarts Legacy story but other parts felt weak. The idea of ancient magic was interesting but it wasn't really expanded on what it is and why it's so rare. Sebastian's story was my favorite with Poppy's being second.
I’m so sad for Ominous. I’m sorry that I lied to him. Except for when I’m not sorry that I lied to him… and when I’m rude to him. Playing multiple times as different people is emotionally difficult.
I made a new character called Orissa gaunt. I downloaded 2 mods for bright eyes and custom glasses (I made clear bat ones) and she's gonna be Omninis sister (I just got her to the sorting ceremony last night lol)
Honestly if there's ever a sequel to this game(highly unlikely but a man can dream) I'd like it to have more focus on Sebastian's story, I feel like we've kinda been left on a cliffhanger, will Anne's curse be broken, will she and Sebastian ever make up, how does Ominus factor into all of this, is Sebastian gonna have a mental break down from killing his uncle and his sister disowning him. Personally these are questions that I'd like to have answered
@@DEATHxKAGEWell theres never really a high demand for Harry Potter game sequels, the only games that really had sequels were the first lego game and the philospher's/sorcerer's stone, but thats expected since they're based on the movies
Morgan-Have you ever considered making a video tribute to all the Potter actors we've lost over the years? I know it would be a long video since we're covering close to 22 years since the first film premiered, but you put great care into your videos, and I think it would be a loving look back on how much joy these actors and their interpretation of JK's characters brought into our lives.
Another great video Morgan! So delighted you have done this. I've only just starting playing the game and I love the story so far, very detailed and enjoyable ❤
It's mad how much of the story just utterly passed me by while I was playing. I always have been bad at keeping track of a games story while I'm playing it. Nice recap
This was great! Really enjoyed your walkthroughs, so glad that you got to finish the story! Would love to see your review of it. Considering we don't get too many new Wizarding World stories, it would be great to hear your thoughts on the game, story, and experience 😁
i really enjoy this and tbh i would love to see more videos like this. Going over the plots of games connected to beloved movie/book franchises. Heck i would love to see a video on the Knights of the Old Republic 1 game. Would be cool to see how u do that
I'm defintelly going to add doing stories on the Legecy Chracters next to do stories on the unused Original Forty! This would've made an amazing movie on its own! You're a genuis!
You earned my sub off the first video and I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMONE TO COVER THIS. i beat the game twice in full and gonna continue with a Gryffindor. But i got way to excited to see this on my feed! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely insane video Morgan. I am so glad to hear you go over the story. Really loved the story of this game over everything else; gameplay was alittle different and some things here and there were not to my liking, but the story was really fun and awesome. Would love a review from you too :)
You loved the story? I enjoyed some parts here and there but overall (particularly the ending) I found the main storyline incredibly disappointing. The fact that all of your choices ultimately have no meaningful consequences was really very irritating. Especially when most of the story had to do with understanding why it was so crucial to keep the repository sealed and the implied consequences of opening it. Then, if you do choose to open the final repository, it is utterly meaningless.
@@thesnackbandit i def think the ending dragged the story down for me. when i think of the story i really hold out certain parts that stuck with me. when they went for it i felt like the story was very strong but the ending and some parts throughout really pushed it down for me. the combat tho was much better than anything i could have thought and for what the team had done before, i felt like this was a great step for them. but i definitely agree with you that the main story leads to a disappointing end. i think the sebastian stuff really helped me over look that but i can def see your point :)
@@WHIKKEDDDD Yeah I agree, the combat system was very solid and different spell, potion,& plant combinations were very satisfying to chain together. The Sebastian quest line was by far the most interesting and enjoyable. Being the first wizarding world game of this scale it is a respectable effort and definitely not I game I regret playing. Although I think there was tremendous wasted potential in terms of the ramifications of your choices which would have truly put the game in a different class. Even in the Sallow quest line it makes no difference at all whether you choose to learn and use the unforgivable curses. Another thing that bugged me was just how easy the game was, even on hard difficulty. Still, if they are planning to make a sequel, it was a good starting point and it wasn’t far off from being a great game.
Didn't think that on Harry Potter's birthday that I would get a gift 😊. Thank you for this video. I've played the game under my own house, Hufflepuff, and am going to keep playing with all the other houses. Hope you can make a video showing all the easter eggs from the Wizarding World in the game. ❤
Hey there movie flame I know I am new to commenting on your RU-vid videos but I have been watching your videos for a while now and I just want to thank you for one making a lot of Harry Potter videos and to telling us a lot about Hogwarts legacy I didn’t even think there was a Hogwarts legacy though I did hear rumors about it also I am a huge Harry Potter fan I even have a Harry Potter video featured in one of my RU-vid videos thanks again movie flame for making these wonderful videos❤
Amazing vid on the game Morgan. If a sequel comes you'll do another amazing work again. I was a Hufflepuff as my 1st character, didn't turn Sebastian in, but it was winter for the rest of the game when it came, and I was hoping for it to change to spring, but didn't. Fighting Harlow didn't appear for me until close to the end, before the final battle. I didn't change my outfit, as I wanted to play it like all the other HP games, in my uniform. P.S. I've got some ideas to throw in a sequel, if u and anybody would like to know them.
it should turn to spring after you kill ranrok, the seasons are questlocked, after the first trial it turns autumn, and after the second trial it turns winter
Loved this game and your analysis of it! Hope there's a sequel! Also, will you post more reactions you had while playing the game? If not, we'll suffice with this and your reaction to the first part😊😊. I chose Hufflepuff too btw!(think that's the house you chose in this video, if that's you) To bring it its moment in the spotlight!
Gosh what a wonderful game! I’ve seen about halfway into gameplay and it’s just magical! Wish I could play one day, one of the games I would actually enjoy playing, I feel. And absolutely great storytelling ❤

This video is absolutely amazing, Morgan! The effort you put into your videos is truly inspiring! Hufflepuff is my Hogwarts house and I'm so glad you told this game from a Hufflepuff's point of view even though you're a Gryffindor. You should've mentioned that each player of a different house has a unique experience in the Richard Jackdaw quest. Hufflepuffs get the best experience because they're the only ones who get to visit Azkaban! Another thing I love about this game is the diversity. There are Black characters, Asian characters, LGBTQIA+ characters, and a blind character. As an ace Nigerian-Canadian woman, I always felt representation was lacking in the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series. I'm happy that steps have been taken to right this wrong. #RepresentationMatters
Great video Morgan, really love this game! I also thought, if you wanted to look at the stories of other games, you would love Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor.
The funniest part of the game is how the story bosses like Harlow and Rookwood have cutscenes when all their health is gone… The killing curse works on them and then the cutscenes happen. So technically they survived the killing curse.
-I got lost in those damn mines. -Poppy is Best Girl. -Really enjoyed the pollyjuice Headmaster quest. -The Unforgivable Curses were awesome in combat. -Natty bragged too much about how her wizarding school is better than Hogwarts. Using wands is so beneath her. -What does Professor Fig even teach? -I got addicted to the Merlin Trials like drugs.
The polyjuice quest was fun. I selected every single option to do the exact opposite of what he would've done. Agreed to Quiddich, told Sharp to tell me in the open about the "boils remedy" 😂, etc.
@@SandraS1397 during my slytherin play through i just found out before you talk to scrope you can have the great hall display the banners of your house for no reason other than the "headmaster" said so. Considering i was in slytherin it looked exactly like something he would've done😅
6:28 Not sure if this gets addressed later but this quest is exclusive to the Hufflepuff House. I think this is the only (TMK) house specific quest. My first playthrough was with Hufflepuff so I recognized it but then remember hearing later that it was exclusive to Hufflepuff so I am unsure of how it plays out for the other houses.........it is the only way you can get a, albeit brief, glimpse of Azkhaban.
I am very happy that I finished the main storyline on my own hufflepuff play through in time to be able to watch this video. Personally I intend on playing the game 3 more times so that I can see how the story differs for each house but I want to complete my field guideBefore starting another character
I've recently started playing it with my friend and the bit in the beginning when the Thestrals become visible after the main character sees George killed, I literally got goosebumps!
