I did everything in Brick Bronze as a kid. I tracked down every legendary. Leveled up all my favorite pokemon. Beat a leaderboard player. But in the end, I was so mad that there’s one thing I couldn’t do and that’s beat the 8th gym. My main team was almost entirely weak to it and my Hoopa’s personality was helping it at all. So years after, I find myself playing one of the copies floating around roblox and play for a bit. After realizing my opportunity, I speed run all the way to the end, picking up those same star pokemon from my original squad and I beat the gym leader with plenty of planning. Brick Bronze won’t ever come back properly but it is the Pokemon game of my generation, as far as I’m concerned.
i was stuck at the jake fight RIGHT BEFORE the 8th gym. I remember literally trading for a hoopa somehow AND STILL NOT WINNING and i couldnt even beat him before the game got taken down
i was stuck on the 8th gym too. the sadder thing about it was that I was waiting because it was my BIRTHDAY, which is when it got taken down if I remember (april 20)
As a Brick Bronze player who put his sweat and blood into training his pokemon and earned all 8 gym badges, I thank you for making this video. It's been 6 years but I still remember playing every bit of the game including its secrets. I still miss my Delphox and Gardevoir till this day. I actually got a keychain made of them. New players really need to watch this video. They have no clue what they've missed.
I still remember the tears I had when I saw Jake get sent in.. I still remember getting my first pokemon and creating almost 12 alternative accounts to do the entire story again. I really wish I got to see what would the creators have done after this, if they would have bought jake back or not.
@@accountnotusedanymore9119 Jake is alive in loomian legacy so unless he "returns to his home" at the end of loomian legacy we wont know if he returns to pbb
I'd love to do that. I was worried people might not want to watch it so it's good to know that at least someone does. (also my computer isn't really the best so I have trouble recording most things)
Brick Bronze was the reason why I joined Roblox. I used to play it with a friend. We played it for hours and we played the game together, meaning that we went through the story together. It was almost as if we were both in the actual story together. We also occasionally had battles together as if we were rivals. One of the most fun things too were double battles. Our teams worked together really well and we had a spectacular time. This game truly was amazing.
I litterally did the same thing when I was a kid and it’s nice to see that so many people have this game in their core memories like I do with my friend
The day the Roria League was supposed to release, they had to take the game down because of Nintendo. We were also going to dive into trying to locate jake. The only thing is.. they never got to that. They just had the second game planned out as a continuation. Sort of like a backup to their story. And they have it take place in another world which is supposedly one of many. That Npc named Looker and the organization he is associated with is supposedly the key to finding Jake's whereabouts. Around the time the Devs had to take the game down, Tbradm released a video on his youtube channel called "Worlds Apart" teaser. The trailer showed this alien-like person greeting this girl with a purple scarf. That girl with the scarf is none other than Tess. Not much information is able to be provided at this point in the development in the story, but it looks like Tess found a way to one of the other worlds in her search for Jake. This must have something to do with Looker and his organization. The devs have many surprises though
They still kind of repeated the story of you finding jake in an alternate universe. Loomian Legacy is the next version of it where jake is in a new universe and dosent remember anything of his past. It's just a non-copyrightable version.
loomian legacy was a good plan but honestly it could NEVER re-create the same feeling that brick bronze had the characters and story are just completely new which is bad considering the story so far isnt that good they could of have re-made the entire game and just made their own sorta pokemon replacement but they didnt which is kind of unfortunate but eh
@@jesseyu69420 considering nintendo would of have just lost money, that's definitely not the case they probably just found out about and immediately took it down oh yeah also its nintendo so ofc they're greedy enough to take it down immediately lmfao
Even though this game was made in 2015. Most of the locations look and feel better than most modern Roblox games. You could see the passion that the devs put into pbb.
I used to be absolutely stacked in this game back in like 2015-16 when I played with my friends after I got to know about it watching dantdm, it actually made me a little sad when it got taken off. It used to be one of the most enjoyable experiences so, thank you for making this.
I’m happy you pointed out the similarity between Fluoroma and the city form Sw/Sh. I was pissed when I first saw the city because of the similarity’s, and then I remember they could use it without any repercussions lol
This game makes me appreciate Loomian Legacy and its story. However, it makes me think of what happened to the Pokemon Professor/Team Eclipse Leader, and whether or not we'll see him.
I have so many memories of this game ingrained in my head. I grew up absolutely loving Pokemon (especially the XY/Kalos Quest/XYZ series because that series was part of my earliest internet memories), so naturally I loved Brick Bronze. I even remember when I was able to trade for a Sylveon which was my favourite Pokemon. Thank you for this video, it's always great to hear about Brick Bronze again.
Yo iirc in 7:25, one of the residents in the pointed out the reason its dark type is because due to the town being closer to the moon, or something along those lines but it is still pretty stupid, i really forgor mostly everything about the game and this gave back the memories i had as a kid so tysm.
Tysm for this video. Brought me memories of owning a level 60 onix thinking it’s evolve eventually, hunting a Latias and finding one but disconnecting and getting destroyed by professor cypress at least 5 times. Glad I got to experience all the content before it went.
What a fun journey it has been to play pokemon brick bronze with family who enjoyed the game as much as i did. We made great memories and got alot of unfair boss fight PTSD but in the end the journey was worth it
One of the main reasons I am so interested in Loomian Legacy is because I want to find out what happens with Jake and Tess and Prof. Cypress and everything. I think it is a brilliant idea that they’ve expanded the story into another game.
@@Phyxonerceus Thats very true! Alot of people get caught up in nostalgia, thus making them feel that Loomian Legacy doesn't have the same appeal. I completely understand it, but people gotta be a little more open minded. Loomian Legacy is much more impressive than Brick Bronze from a technical and visual standpoint imo.
Felt nostalgic and searched this up. Love your editing style, and it really brought back a lot of memories in the best way possible. Happy to subscribe, hope you get the attention you deserve :)
Pokémon Brick Bronze is an amazing game. Tbh tho is there is a missed opportunity when it comes to the dragon trio. In the dragon cave you can find a room filled with gold and a sort of monument with two sides. One colored white. The other black. I feel like they could have made it so you need a full team of dragon types and beaten the whole game to unlock a secret door where you can catch reshiram, zekrom, and kyurem.
Dang, it's been a while since I heard of Pokemon Brick Bronze. Had a lot of memories of that game and it's nice to hear the folks that made it are still doing more content. Will definitely try Loomian Legacy! Do wish we could've gotten to see the Elite 4 before the Pokemon Company got it shut down. There were 8 types (Bug, Steel, Psychic, Rock, Normal, Ice, Fairy, and Poison) left without trainers, so I'm intrigued to what they would've gone with.
I remember playing this and I beat all the gyms. I was waiting for the Roria League update to come out when suddenly this game got deleted. Now I play Brick Bronze Forever. Rest in peace Pokemon Brick Bronze. You will be missed. 2015-2018
The amount I would give to bring brick bronze back. Not just a randos reupload but thr actual game, more updates to the story and all the great online play and trading.
Loomian Legacy's Graphics really makes me imagine just what PBB could've become today. They made good models of Groudon and Kyogre, why stop there? They could make their own models of the Pokèmon. So much of LL's paid content have a limited free version [takes a day at most] It's really painful to see think what could've been.
I played Pokémon brick bronze when I was in like 2nd or 3rd grade since I’m only 15 now so I thought this game was the best and coolest thing.I would call one of my friends from school on my dads phone and play roblox with him. I only got too the 6th gym before the game was deleted sadly, this game will always be remembered as one of the things that got me into Pokémon as a kid for me :)
You should title this "Best Pokemon games you will never play" It was the series that introduce me to Pokemon after all, and best of all, you can pick any starter from each regions
this gas brought back so many memories... i remember my team vividly. greninja, talonflame, heliolisk, gigalith (who was shiny) and sylveon were my team (yes i know its only 5, i didnt need a 6)
Thank u for explaining brick bronze lore because I really want to finish but I never finished because my whole save got deleted because I didn’t play for 2 days so I never completed the game so the fall I got to is when I met asbol so thank u telling me the lore of it
For those who don't understand the flumorumo city reference, after the game got shut down, they released a game called "hide and seek extreme" and that was the lobby and it looked identical. They shut down HASE after loomian legacy released
Ummm... I'm not sure if I understand what you mean, but the Fluroma joke was a reference to gamefreak stealing the design for Ballonlea city in SW/SH from Brick Bronze's Fluroma city.
I remember playing this so long ago and I had tons of fun and I got 7 badges before it got removed (fun fact did you know that Kyle Allen music made the theme song of brick bronze?)
I remember playing it for a bit back in 2018 I think, and I was laughing hysterically when my Haunter was totally immune to one of the battles (I can't remember which one but they just had fast electrodes with explode I think).
@@Okalittle that's the one lmao. I remember nuzlocking the game and that part was always hilariously easy. You'd easily just get a ghost type from the haunted mansion and then just shove it into your pc for that fight
I sweeped the Ground gym leader when I played this game. The Anthian city gym was 10x harder. (It could have been because I was like 10 and I never got to play a Pokémon game before despite me being a fan of the series at the time.) but yeah.
one of m biggest regrets of playing pbb was not leveling my team up propperly. only my incineroar and raichu were the only ones that were the same level as the 8th bym leader while the rest of my team, (staraptor and haunter are the obly ones I currently remember) were all below level 40. So I couldve beated the 8th gym leader if I actually leveled my team correctly.
I remember being stumped at the 6th (grass) gym with my Swampert... which is obvious because in my younger years, like any other I had a fine ability to only focus levelling into one or two of my Pokemon, and when one of them is 4x weak to the gym and one of them is Mega Absol, your odds ain't high that's for sure. I remember almost getting to defeating Mega Venusaur in that gym before the game got cut off. Recently, I've actualy played one of those replacement games, and with my trust Samurott and an actually balanced team, I've almost fully beaten the game, I just need to do the Team Eclipse story line finisher which I would've done already if I hadn't tried EV training an accidental shiny Magikarp
i miss the game it was my childhood, people at my school played it with me, pokemon brick bronze was the only reason that 2nd grade to 4th grade was even good.
Brick bronze was what got me into Pokémon I was bad at the game my starter was my highest level with others just being filler I kept losing to the grass gym leader because I chose greninja. I started training other Pokémon to when eventually after 2 weeks I finally beat the leader the exact minute I got the gym badge I got a screen saying I was kicked I was 7 so I didn’t know what happened the game just disappeared. I played copies of the game and I never understood what happened to the original for years.
I do remember one good memory of this game I had just beaten the the gym before you get latios the ice location one I had been away for at least a month then decided to come back to the game I then hunted for the latios I kid you not on the 3rd encounter latios I caught it then after awhile later they then deleted the game when I was again taking a break so I never really got a chance to use latios in any way shape or form and that really did piss me or to the point I deleted the game and haven’t played Roblox for over a few years later
I remember I was like 7 addicted to pbb and I wanted to get a late night grind in and I joined and saw it banned . I cried so hard and after I always kept playing the remakes and they made me so happy . I wish to be a child again
As a kid, I loved Pokémon and roblox and when this came out I was so excited. I only was able to beat 7 gyms before it got removed but this game is what caused me to love Absol.
when i was a kid i didnt know anything about pokemon so i was just walking around the city. my starter was squirtle and i selected her (i got a female squirtle) bc she was cute and since i didnt know anything about pokemon when my squirtle evolved after the gym battle i though that gym things were for evolving pokemons. after that moment my internet went out and 1 week later the game got removed. it was fun while it lasted and loomian legacy cant replace those joyful hours
I like the lore tbh, revealing Jake early on in the story and making him a part of the team is a good way to keep people interested in the story. Getting rid of pbb characters would of made the story boring and have people uninterested
I only started to take more notice of Brick Bronze, since I got into Pokemon Go and as well a bit into Pokemon, since before it's deletion I reached the 2nd gym, while on the randomizer I found after it's deletion I got before the dark type gym leader (since it was only available until that point in that version). Also know this since I found a shiny Victini WHICH I KILLED IT BY ACCIDENT, because I didn't know "False Swipe" was a move (It's alright though, I found a hundo Victini in Po Go which kinda balanced the loss) Regarding the story, I think after the 8tg gym, you would have the typical Victory Road, as well as the Elite Four where Lando is the champion you have to defeat.
Ive watched quite a few videos of the real pokemon games, and have only played pokemon shield, and yet with all of that, honestly, brick bronze was alot better than most of the actual games, in my opinion
I found a fanmade continuation of PBB from a game called Project Bronze Odysseys, here’s what happens: After getting the 8th gym badge, you then head to the Elite 4, where you see Tess at the gateway for your final battle with her right before you face the Elite 4, after defeating her, you go on to fight the 1st e4 member, Wulfric, who was originally an Ice type gym leader from Kalos, after beating him, you then fight Bruno, who is a fighting type specialist from Kanto, after beating him, you then fight Diantha, who was originally the Champion of Kalos, after beating her, you fight the final e4 member, Lance, who is a dragon type specialist from Kanto and was once a Champion himself, after beating the e4 whom had teams full of lvl 85s, you face the champion, Brad, the same dude who gave you the Surf HM who somehow has a whole team of lvl 90s, a Mega Glalie, and a Kyurem, after beating Brad, you are now the champion of Roria
6:59 I didn't play Pokémon at that time and dont know if they showed the glimwood forest as a teaser, but wasn't pokemon brick bronze banned before pokemon sword and shield even released
Brick bronze is the best roblox game ever made. I will never change my opinion the memories i have made are irreplaceable. Sometimes i get teary thinking about it like the time i got stuck somewhere (didnt know that clipping out of there existed) i was just crying but than suddenly i find a legendary i catch it with 3 pokeballs left than trade it for level 80 shiny metagross i just really miss the old times i wish someone collabarated with pokemon to make an official game on roblox (0% chance of happening)
