I think what makes pokemon brick bronze so amazing (better than actual pokemon games) is how you can see other players roaming the map and playing the game with you. I always felt alone or by myself when playing pokemon games but Pokemon brick bronze it was alive
Yeah but it was kinda bad, the level curve is awful and grinding is a literal piss take (you literally have to either grind on weak wild Pokémon or keep rejoining the game and fight trainers), it’s imo way to hard (dude the elite four literally has legendaries), it basically had no story, the game is kinda pay to win (you literally have to pay robux for the mega stones), and honestly the design of the game is just bad, even tho it is objectively a bad game I still love it for all the good memories I had with it and it being my first game on Roblox
they still can, people like the pokemon games so much they basically make dummy copies that are built to save progress and have new copies spawn when the old one is taken down I just hate how long the intro is because it makes replaying it stupidly annoying.
@@projectsilvio3522 this was all fixed because script_ing (the guy who made pokemon breeze a modded pbb copy before the game got deleted) had all the models and files for the game and sold them which helped restore the game to how it was before being deleted

I never thought the ending part was stupid, but I agree that it is. I think it was done because the devs knew that PBB was going to be taken down soon, so they had to end the game somehow.
It's crazy how a roblox game has a plot that can be heavily better than an actual Pokemon game. I loved PBB, and it will always be on of the best roblox games in my opinion. With loomian legacy, it's alright. The designs and concepts for the loomians and abilities are alright but the addititon of Rthro avatars instead of blocky, roblox avatars wasn't the best idea, and it makes the game look weird.
6:46 This route did in fact introduce the concept of double battles, and in the main game you battled alongside Jake against various trainers as you moved down the route. The game you're playing is likely the one of the remakes made by Bobby. In these clones, they had trouble replicating the code for double battles/ it was copy locked from the main game. Just thought I'd bring that up
@@PhantomOfficial07 there is, Pokemon Shining Sliver is one of the good ones. most of the glitches are patched such as the box glitch were you were stuck in the box menu. yet the gardevoir model is a buggy mess. they reupload everytime in a few days unless something happens such as the owner moving.
The part where jake follow you for the first time did have double battle in the original game, but I guess since the copy double doesn’t work cuz when they try it just froze you in place, so they either delete all the trainer or have the battle be single
Yeah there's a few versions that fixed that but the majority of the copies are super broken. They also did delete a ton of assets but the double battle thing was happening for long before they deleted the assets
I miss this game so much. Like it was just magical and there really was no other fan game I found that was like it. But the most heart breaking thing about it? The elite 4 update was close. The devs usually posted leaks of different parts of an update a few weeks before the update releases, and they released screenshots of the elite 4 building a few weeks before it got shut down. We were so close to being able to see the finale of the game, but it got taken down literally out of nowhere. Like I remember the panic the entirety of the community went through when it got taken down the worry and fear that all those years and all those hours of playing were gonna be gone forever. And sure enough, it was. We have loomian legacy now and sure, it's a better game, but it's still not the same. I poured probably hundreds of hours into pbb and even 4 years after it got taken down, it's still so sad to think of all the progress we spent playing it being gone. All the achievements people made, all the little tiny details the devs put in, all of it is gone. That was literally heartbreaking when it happened. But now atleast we have the memories from it and loomian legacy, which honestly is a higher quality game so far (I'm not saying it's better, I'm just saying everything is made from scratch and looks better)
Roblox pokemon games are mid and loomian legacy is bad, it's worse than bb , also beacuse is hard make an high quality rpg game on roblox, is not a good platform for that

He stars in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum (where he plays a bigger role) and stars in the bonus episode content of ORAS, Sun/Moon and X/Y. Most bonus content shows him being flung to other regions/other universes entirely (such as Sun/Moon where he lost his memory)
@@jmx147 Lando WAS featured in the game, you could find him in the trade resort as a Skeleton, this was because of the hoards of Noobs stripping him to the bone after he made PBB free to the public after releasing the 4th gym (removing the beta paywall).
Brick bronze for me at least was one of the peak moments of creativity i have ever seen using a crappy engine. Roblox has never been the same since. Favorite part of the game would definitely be frostveil city as it looked gorgeous for a blocky game, the city itself was pretty big as well as a hub for socializing, and the gym was the best in my opinion
@@aahhhhhhhhhhhhh its peak creativity bc of the storyline that it had for what it was it had a better storyline than some of the official pokemon games they even have some limited time events and released updates in a very understandable amount of time. loomian legacy is very creative but it lacks so much from what we had before. The devs arent as passionate thats why people arent as supportive and loving on loomian legacy than pbb

Like as a kid i completely overlooked the story, and even forgetting alot of the smaller bits of the game near the end such as going down the mountain. Double battles were in the original, that part where jake follows you was supposed to be double battles where Jake heals your pokemon in between battles. Same thing with going around the lab area with Tess. idk why they removed those battles

I remember when you had to fight Tess when she had an op dragon team, I was actually kinda struggling cause I had no counters to dragon types but I barley won. Right before the game was deleted I was training a Sylveon to beat the 8th gym leader but the game was deleted before I could ever do it. I caught Hoopa already but the 8th gym was the last thing I needed to do, still upset about that.
Me who got stuck in the desert route before the game shut down, still lots of amazing memories were made so I’m glad I got experience at least half of the game.
As someone who basically played this game religiously and is now coincidentally running a DnDesque campaign around it, I am glad to have a recent recap and see the love of this game STILL ins't dead

Pokemon brick bronze was my first ever pokemon game I played and what got me into pokemon, since my parent didn't have enough money to buy me a nintendo DS back in the day. The game holds a very special place to me and the was the game that I very much enjoyed. Its a shame that the game got shut down but its understandable why, can't blame nintendo for this.
@@froggedier yeah, im glad this game did introduce me into pokemon though, because the mainline series are enjoyable too, it jsut wont hit the same as PBB since it was just so perfectly compatible with roblox and pokemon, which made me just love it
One thing I appreciate about Pokemon Brick Bronze was how personal it was, I had friends and I had my own Roblox avatar representing me, the plot didn't matter, but the journey did, I didn't care for the characters but I absolutely cared about the social aspect of this game, those days of duking it out on the colosseum, having my own friends as my own rivals? Chef's kiss, and actually seeing other players in the early game routes struggle and offering to help them out by giving away free strong Pokemon that I no longer need and seeing them thank me, with one of the fellow kids giving one my Pokemon back because he thought it would feel sad without me by it's side... Ah it feels so good, I have played the mainline games since then via emulators and bought a Switch, Pokemon Sword, and Legend's Arceus, and still, those games are NOTHING compared to Brick Bronze's experience, while Project Pokemon was great, that was my introduction to the franchise, Brick Bronze was ultimately the most memorable. Which is why the Pokemon Company or Gamefreak should consider actually making a Pokemon MMO, an OFFICIAL Pokemon MMO, make it like Legends Arceus and Monster Hunter with multiplayer, and they'll print so much money, like holy hell, I'd be spending lots of money on a well polished game like that, and the fact that even after all these years I am still yearning for the Roblox Pokemon games says a lot, I really think Open World Multiplayer with Pokemon is the way to go, we can still have a story or something but make it as personalized as possible so that players can make up their own stories, their own rivalries, their own experiences, that's really what the next Pokemon game should really be about, the Social Aspect of Pokemon should be capitalized on further. (Also, if anyone tells me I should try PokeMMO, let me tell you that after the whole shutdown fiasco I have tried PokeMMO, and played it for two months and I didn't really enjoy it as much as I expected, despite me loving the pixel artstyle of Pokemon, I just think an Open-World Pokemon game should be 3D).
And also in new pokemon games you can customize your character but yes not in the same way of roblox ones, still brick bronze is even worse than recent pokemon games, the story was mid and the characters were bad, the best thing was the mmo style of the game and thats it, it was also pay to win, you have to pay for the exp share, for getting bottle cap (necessairy for pvp), pay gor getting roaming legendaries they could have done a very good game, maybe they should make a pokemon MMO not on roblox but somewhere else
Also because is hard making a good monster collector game on roblox is not a good platform for it, they still made a pretty decent game, and i also think that MMO and open world is the way that Gamefreak and PokemonCompany shoul follow

I still remember the exact spot I logged off for the day, I was right infront of the Pokécentre and spent the entire day preparing and hyping myself up for the whole Hoopa fight but well you know.. the entire game gets bricked. I still remember the exact team I had: My starter, Delphox Mega Absol Shiny Mega Gardevoir Mega Charzard X Shiny Mega Gengar And Primarina I'll miss them.
Sadly I don’t remember my exact team, I’m pretty sure I had greninja, absol, hoopa, volcanion, I think salamence, and maybe a mega pidgeot, yeah I don’t remember my team and the ones I do remember are pretty generic
There was one time when a special Sceptile (Christmas 2017). My brother spent an hour looking for one and didn't get any... I logged on and found a shiny one on my first encounter. I also remember most of my team!
My favorite part was all of the legendaries hidden around the map. You could literally get Jirachi after the third gym, it was crazy. Shaymin, Victini, Diance, Heatran, all the Regis minus Regigigas, Volcanian, the Kanto birds, Lugia, and Genesect were all also set encounters after you did some stuff, and there were tons of others that could only be found roaming in the wild after seeing them for the first time.

I thought they sued it because they were actually making money by selling roux gamepasses on the game and that stuff is just out there in terms of modding/fan games. Making a cool fan game is one thing, and is generally considered morally acceptable. Directly making money from it? That goes out of legally iffy into morally iffy.
i never got that far into the game while it was still up, but to me it seems like that character at the end is Looker from pokemon platinum (as well as numerous other pokemon games), not lando

I have many memories in regards to Brick Bronze. I remember frantically trying to trade some guy a Cubone with Headbutt for his Mega Blastoise in the Trade Resort, and roleplaying along with my sister as she was doing the Anthian City scenario. I have alot of respect for Brick Bronze's legacy, to the point that I was writing up a Pokémon region that was loosely based off of Roria, and keeping some of the Gym premises the same. This game didn't deserve to be purged.
I really enjoyed this story, it's unfortunate how loomian legacy hasn't progressed much story compared to brick bronze in the same time. It's also kinda sad how we are seen as a different person but our parents are the same and are in a different form, sure jake recognizes us but that's it..

I remember my parents wouldn't buy me a 3ds, so I ended up playing this instead. I loved it so much I ended up being #1 on the comp leaderboards for a while back then. Was a super fun time.

Pokemon brick bronze was a way for kids that couldn't afford to buy a real pokemon game to still experience pokemon and even if you had a pokemon game it gave you a way to play pokemon with your friends. Really ashame they had to remove it
This was my first "pokemon" game. I wish I could play it again someday. I never got past the part after absol because I didn't know how to make a pokemon learn fly. ( also my metapod never tried to evolve no matter what level it was) I chose tepig as my starter and was surprised ( and disappointed) when it evolved. Emboar is now a part of my ultimate team as a fire/ghost type because my save data was deleted along with all of roblox since it was an unsafe site ( I imagined that only Emboar barely escaped at a cost) The fist pokemon I caught was a spinarak. I got pokemon Y later and I consider that my first pokemon game despite playing brick bronze first. ( I picked Froakie only because one of my 2 my best friends recommended it [ I don't regret it]) Greninja is my second most favorite pokemon and also on my ultimate team. Hoopa is my most favorite pokemon and I feel bad that I never got to catch it until Pokémon Go. If it weren't for this game, I probably wouldn't even know about pokemon. MY GOOOD! I loved this game I spent entire days in the trading area, trading from nothing and getting tons of trades, man, I hate how nintendo took this down. The story was amazing, the design was FLAWLESS and not to mention the gameplay was really fun.
I’m glad people continually upload this game to Roblox it allows us all to replay it. When it got taken down it really changed my view on Nintendo as a company

I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't miss Brick Bronze that much. Yes, I had fun with it too, and I made memories with it, but the fact people *will not let go of it disappoints me greatly*. The fact people are willing to trash on the original Devs work by just copy and pasting the freaking game countlessly is a problem. Is it good for nostalgia? Yes. Is it good for literally everything else? No. People are just giving money to bozos who are abusing the fact people liked the game. You know, a game that directly pulled sprites from the actual Pokèmon games??? IDC if it has a "good story", or some crap (I personally found it worse than BW, B2W2 and USUM). I really don't. The story is average, and I felt more emotional attachment to *HOP* than Jake, and I don't even have a Nintendo Switch. I'm not joking. There are so many problems with PBB that I had that I honestly just felt annoyed at worst when it was deleted. I had more fun with the Official Pokèmon Games. And if you still don't care, just go play a ROM hack like Infinite Fusion, or Insurgence, or Reborn, or Gaia! Those are good too, and I genuinely had fun with those games, far more than PBB! Or go play Pokèmmo if you really want to see other players on the map!
From creator to fellow creator, I really enjoyed this video. I liked how in depth you went explaining all the moral significance of each cutscene and character development and while I don't necessarily agree with some of your conclusions I can definitely admire the effort put in. a few other things: the route where Jake joins you did introduce double battles but some of the brick bronze clones which I assume is what you played couldn't implement that correctly. I really enjoyed the way you explained what each gym leader was a reference to. Some of those games, I had never heard of so it was really interesting to see the behind the scenes on why each developer was implemented for their respective gyms. The video I made was quite short mostly as a way for people who are unfamiliar with the game to quickly get an idea of what it's about without investing too much time into it. You might've inspired me to make a longer video in the future to go a little more in depth with my interpretations of the game, so thanks! Anyways, yeah. Great video, Poxyslayer. Well played. 10/10.
dang- so unfortunate that the game ended there didnt even get to know what the last gym leader was tho fr 😢 seriously out of all this time playing this game as a kid, I never understood who the characters were, but now i know and its so sick that not only did i not know that some of characters that i didnt understand the jokes the had (especially with the one where the guy got trapped in a cage) NOW I UNDERSTAND, AND NOW I FIND IT HILARIOUS and now i love this game much more tho tbh i find it a bit heart breaking with the dumb ending- buuuut since thats the end of PBB i think its best we forget that part ever happened and just think about everything before that
My friend convinced me to download Roblox and play this game all the way back in elementary school. Pokemon brick bronze was the first roblox game I played and it is where I got my username(kinda). I would play it for hours it was such a good game.
I know we shouldn't be supporting reuploads of the game, but I think the people at PBF (Project Bronze Forever) are doing a good job at doing what they wanted to do, let people still play the game. Still though, rest in peace Pokemon Brick Bronze. You will be missed. Or I guess, you are still being missed.
It's crazy how a lot of the stuff after the 6th gym was remade by a single person and used by many different copies, but we don't have any idea who actually did it all
I may have been stupid to preface this, I remember I beat the game (When the Dark gym was the at the time last gym) but for whatever reason my Pokemon would just NOT level up past 70.
The transitions in the map was something Sarafi to grass grass to sarafi Through a mountian range grass to desert Desert to grass Ice to grass Something concerning

Loomian legacy is somewhat of a sequel to brick bronze. If you think about it, jake arrived in that world so what’s to say the team eclipse leadership didn’t also arrive in loomian legacy
6:48 In the original game, before it was taken down, you did have double battles with jake, but most of the reuploaders don't know enough about scripting to get I to work properly. If you watch some old videos, you can see the battles working as intended.
i actually don't remember much AFTER the tess battle bc i was so happy beating her after multiple tries i left pbb for a while and then came back but immediately a week later pbb was gone

I would be another person in the comment to highlight my moments with pbb, as it still is my most played game to date. But I want to talk about something else, Had Pbb not been so heavily invested into micro transactions the chances that we would still have it today would be so high. Due to the amount of things that were paid for and lando interest in getting money out of it is what ultimately sealed its fate, even though many other Pokémon games on Roblox such as project Pokémon had similar micro transactions, it was not as big as Pbb. Had pbb been a passion project and a non profit project I could’ve seen Nintendo and Pokémon looking at the game with good remarks, maybe even marketing it as their own ip on Roblox. But unfortunately it didn’t go that route and because of that, many many Pokémon games on Roblox got taken from us. And I still miss them all…I even learned to EV train on pbb.
Pokémon brick bronze changed the life of me and most of my friends. i played from the day it came out till the day it got deleted. i will never forget this game i even made a necklace with a bronze lego brick this game will always be in my heart
I find it crazy how most of these devs split up and found themselves so successful. NewFissy for example would become one of the owners/founders for Uplift Games aka the team that makes Adopt Me.
