As someone who’s been playing siege on and off for a few years and missed a lot of this past year, this video is incredibly helpful and super well made! Also, Vigil getting a face reveal was not on my list this year lol he looks great
I absolutely adore the relation of the White Masks in the old Siege we all love and their linkage to Deimos, it adds to the nostalgia. It really makes me wonder if Deimos is revisiting the the active bioterrorism they began because he noticed how effective it was at making Rainbow known for their skills to deescalate extremely perilous situations, perhaps wanting to start it up again to challenge Rainbow and expose them to see if they've fallen from what Deimos deems the best of Rainbow was.
Just thinking out loud here, what about later in the future of Siege, We get an in game event where attackers try to kill Deimos while the defenders protect Deimos while Deimos himself will be setting up a biochemical bomb to go off during the round timer. It fits into gameplay, and fits pretty nicely in the lore.
I feel like Deimos is a manifestation of the early Siege players who’ve left the game. He’s a former Rainbow Op , but thinks the squad is now a shell of its former self While Harry (new fans), has been trying new things with Rainbow as a whole to where it’s purpose is still the same but different. You could also say Deimos is kinda a rep of the hacker community , because he seems to always be one step ahead of Rainbow. And while he’s out there , many players new and old shall be killed and eventually leave the game. Kinda funny when you think about the games history could possibly be a source for lore Love the video ❤
I started playing R6back when Nomad and Kaid came out on my old crappy PC, transitioned from CS:GO, and then I didn't care about lore, I thought it was just another FPS game that had unique mechanics. Stopped playing until SI2020, where I still didn't care about the lore and played only for a month or two and stopped again. Started year 7 and for some reason bought the year pass which I didnt use at all since I played 2 weeks only and finally came back a week ago and I was amazed by how much has changed and that there was actuall lore. When I saw cinematic of Deimos killing Harry I immediately started looking for some lore and only now I have stumbled across this channel. I watched the catch-up lore video at the start of Year 8 and now this so I'll get deeper into the story and I have to say, you are doing an amazing job at that. Thanks to you now I know a lot more than I had ever before about R6S and I'm thinking about buying Year 8 pass and actually staying through the whole year around to enjoy the game, operators and lore that is to come.

i have a feeling that when Deimos attacks emerald plains Aurelia Arnot will be there even though she became secretary of state in 2019, she might be having a meeting with the people who oversees rainbow on who's going to become the new director
Same. I miss her and she's been in a coma too long for it not to affect her health. And I hope Mira will be okay since she's off on a mission. They should win at least this time.
Maybe they'll add a Deimos operator, I think that would be cool, but if they add him, I wonder if he'll be on attack or defense and what his special ability would be. 😮
This will probably get overlooked, but on the cargo plane, the truck we see looks eerily similar to a Santa Blanca HUMVEE we see in Ghost Recon Wildlands. And the turret looks eerily similar to weaponry we see in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. I think Ghost recon will play a role in the story and potentially with Deimos

I think clash's comment about not focusing on one person is important, look at perseus in the cod black ops cold war campaign (and the real spy ring he/its based on) maybe Deimos is multiple people, headed by the ex-rainbow operative
They should maybe invest some resources into story missions or actual cinematics. They’re trying to make a story with the absolute bare minimum effort put into it right now. They open the year implying that a bunch of operators died, but never really confirm it, and we’ve learned basically nothing about Deimos, and instead of a story game, we got Extraction. It can all be interesting, but they need to do more.
Those leaks (if real, which is likley) piss me off, because Deimos is a terrorist, and Tom Clancy, had a rule that the player was not, by any means, allowed to play as a terrorist
Yep rook, mira, sam fisher and doc were at emerald plains, he shot mira in the head and rook in the chest, rook came in clutch saving sam fisher and everyone else
Holy shit this is really well put together, I’m in the middle of watching this however 1/4 of this video is very very interesting of what’s going in the lore I bet it will keep getting better and better regardless this video is very informative and amazing I love it❤
If we have to look at the bigger picture of the Tom Clancy universe, what if before Ghost Team Nomad was in the old Rainbow team? Before the shutdown at which point he went into Ghost team.
Dude I want Deimos to be bishop from Vegas one and two, ex-team lead of rainbow seeing how rainbows become and becomes the bad guy to get them to rethink how they do things, so in the ball park for r6

I still think he is. The recent battlepass lore has some stuff that could support my theory. Its nothing specific but it doesn't go against my theory so its still potential
