The Equals were, for me, a provocative and creative band. Pop, bubblegum, funk, everything they did is pure gold. In addition to a cover, the perfect band would be a mixture of The Equals and The Clash.

Ok, so this was all before my time, but I’ve been a dj, crate driver and student of music for 40 years (and lived half my adult life in the UK) - how am I only now figuring out how good these guys are? (I’ll admit to hearing Baby Come Back I’m Idiocracy - but then figuring “this song is so good, they must be one hit wonders”) It’s not just a one off - there’s ten songs that should be in the 60s canon (and that’s more than half the bands in the RnR HoF).

First time actually and 2:58 purposely listening to the equals in May 2024. How many years am I behind time? I just realised that I knew Michael and his slipper tree but never knew that it was by the Equals . And this album just popped up after I pĺyayed Black skin blue eye boy. I was about to dismiss it when lo and behold I saw that the Artists was the Equals . Well my finger went from pause to play and what great music flowed And I get to see the group when they were just kids A hugh Bonus. Thanks for the upload

I love how they filmed some in London and then took the train to Margate the same or another day and filmed some there. Thank you for sharing PiersBedfordMedia : ) Edit - oh! Maybe they all went in the Rolls!

I was at a trivia night a couple of weeks ago and someone mentioned this song and wanted to know who sang it. I could not remember, but now that I have found it (after all these years) I will let them know. The song makes me want to sing it out loud. Ah, these were the best years of music.
