baahaah They film movies in Detroit all the time! I think they just did for parts of the superman and they've been filming the transformers movies here a lot too
What happened to those houses and the familys that were living in it? Im from germany and Even we dont have so many ruins in whole germany what u have in one street. Very sad to see. Thought america is rich. Greets from bavaria
Osborn High school is right across the street and they were just letting out, you always have to watch out when they come in there. I think they have a sign on the door that says 2 or 3 students at a time but they just barge in. That's a rough school I graduated from there.
Many blacks that live in these areas can't help themselves, most enjoy living like this and the same government they mooch off of want to move these folks unto nice areas, just look at these fools, they look like they're ready to rob the store blind,if people aren't afraid of these folks they should be and this should be a lesson to anyone, stay away from convenient stores when you see dudes like this standing around like this day or night, and anyplace else you see people standing around, hell they're not there holding prayer
Well yes and no. Yes it's too far gone and No it can't make a comeback LOL...just kidding there are some signs of improvement . They are demolishing abandoned homes and buildings faster, are building up downtown new stadiums etc which provides jobs for some. There needs to be more neighborhood based programs to address crime and the school system is a mess. Social issues are one of the main things holding the city back, the citizens have to decide they want to change that.
CharlieBo313 I hope one day Detroit and its people can one day make a huge comeback i love the city that makes American muscle cars. America needs Detroit and the big 3 to succeed.
Immigrants literally came here with nothing and built this country and we’ve got people standing around on the streets in broad daylight surrounded by homes and junk. Imagine if they just put some work and pride into the neighborhoods.. shameful tbh
We should help those people! No sh*t they are a little bit aggressive sometimes. Nobody wants to live in those houses !!!! Plss Obama give them money and new houses
Some of the homes look like they're made of brick and was thinking they'd damn nice places to live after fixing 'em up. But then, I'm out west and prefer some elbow room, so would want to completely demolish/remove the stick houses on each side and fence it off so my dog(s) could run free. And doesn't anyone have garages as part of their home/property in Detroit?
+CharlieBo313 That was wired? Hm..Thanks for all your videos! I have a Friend that lives in Detroit. So it's kind of interesting seeing what it's like from Iowa, Btw, Merry Christmas!
see that nigga steal that honey bun in the gas station? he put it in his coat and walked out. why would you open a business there? seems like you would lose more than gain.
Does that store sell pipe tobacco? I could do with buying some Carter Hall, Prince Albert, Half & Half, Sir Walter Raleigh, Velvet, and some Paladin Black Cherry.
Hey Charlie. You should make a long documentary about Detrioit. Title it 'American Dystopia' or something. You're doing great work with these videos man. Keep it up and stay safe out there.
They are defined by what we see. This is not a destruction, it's a creation. This is creation has taken place in a very short time. Let see what 12more years looks like. The gas station with no gas but a store that looks like it's fortified with security glass, cameras, a prison holding area mentality. Nice!
4:03 watch this guy in the middle of the screen pick up some stuff, put some stuff in his pocket and then walk out the door with the rest! And he'll spend the rest of his life stealing money from the taxpayers to keep him in prison.
came across your channel on my home page. appreciate the videos you been showing on your channel. I'm pretty sure you get all type of comments on your channel, but have you ever gotten question the the videos you show in stores? or do you kinda hide it pretty well to where no one sees it? sad seeing a community like this and the governor will continue to walk past inner cities like this and not think twice to help build it back up.. especially seeing the young kids
Hi Charlie. Would it be out of line to ask why young black guys enjoy hoodies so much? I know there are styles and trends everywhere, but it seems like trends can be excessive in the black culture?
All I can say is they find them comfortable and convenient. Certain ones can be bought for really cheap and many can't afford jackets so their hoodie is there jacket.
Hi Charlie. I guess so, but the hoodie and the doo rags do look a little sinister at times. I mean WHY feed into any negativity if you don't have to? I think the tattoos, esp excessive tattoos, on anybody, has the same negative effect. People have to start calling out the truth about the troubled state of society or things won't get better.
I think I should also mention that there seems to be also a commonness between these young men of low education, low employment, low ambition, heightened drug usage and incarceration, etc. Does it have anything to do with hoodies, doo rags, etc.? If not, why are the inner cities so troubled?
Depressing. Some of those houses look like they used to be very nice. What is to stop people from prying off the wood and moving into the empty houses?
As a Britbong who had the pleasure of traveling to Detroit last year, I was astonished at the amount of burned down houses right next to occupied ones. Also at the bars on the windows of a salon. Wew!
That's crazy as hell....not sure if you've heard of grand rapids before but it's the 2nd biggest city in MI it's on the other side of the state from Detroit, thats where im from and while it does have some pretty rough parts it's nowhere near as bad as this I remember when my dad moved to GR from detroit he was shocked how many white people there where 😂😂
As someone from a similar climate; that is common at the start of winter or the start of spring. At the start of spring, it can be like 70 degrees, but with the huge build up of snow, there will still be snow on the ground.
You won't see a ton of white people in Detroit it's 85% black. But there are some in certain east side areas and on the Southwest side. That woman in pink who looks all drugged up standing by the door in the other video "DETROIT HOOD AND CRAZY LIQUOR STORE" is white.
MrJohnnyDistortion Yeah but it is difficult to get one and you'll get crucified

I'm from Brazil and i'm watching all your videos. Can you explain me why that houses are abandoned? And if is "permited" to white people walk around these places... thank you.
Carlão Herege Detroit used to be one of the wealthiest cities in the United States because the major car companies such as Chrysler, GM, and Ford were located there and brought many jobs. It used to consist of mainly white suburbs. However, the car companies later moved to Mexico and other locations due to cheaper labor which greatly devastated Detroit's economy. Everyone lost their jobs and abandoned their homes to go to a place with jobs. Detroit was then taken over by drugs and poverty stricken people. Some white people live in Detroit but Eight Mile on the east side is the worst part. Eminem was raised on Eight Mile and was severely beaten up all the time for being white...wouldn't advise a white person to go there...
Mr. Mathers (a.k.a) Eminem is a sellout (I wonder where he lives today?) Not Detroit! & probably got "beat-up" from his smart mouth than his skin color.
she was running a scam. Notice she escalated as Charlie started to pull away to reel him back in? She thought she had a sucker initially when he asked if she was ok. She should bring that act to the guilty consciense, white liberal neighborhoods, she'd make a killing.
Why are you painting Detroit in this bad light? I dont see any of your videos show the beautiful areas in Detroit...can you explain that? I live in a beautiful part of the city and your falsifying the city.
Actually, I have videos of Palmer Woods area, Sherwood Forest, Rosedale Park, Indian Village, Have you seen any of those ? How am I painting the city in a bad light or falsifying it when I record what I see. I'm actully more truthful than most. One could say I was falsifying the city if I only showed the good areas.
no i just think if you brought drugs and loud speakers into a neighborhood like this where you are unknown and unrespected ( most likely ) you would get robbed. Maybe bring a whole crew with glocks and you might have a presence here.
Look at all that derelict land. Couldn't building companies buy the land and re-build on it? Here in the UK, the moment land becomes available, new housing is built and money made from rent, mortgages etc. Why doesn't this happen in the USA?
salvadormarley it does happen...all the time. The problem here is that most companies that provided jobs to the city have moved away. Even if they were to build on the land in Detroit, there wouldn't be enough money for people to live in it and to sustain the level of upkeep it needs, therefore making it a low income housing, thus turning it back into the slum it was.
In some of the UK it's like that. I visited Barrow and Dalton in Furness many years ago. PLENTY of abandoned buildings and sure wasn't anyone interested in buying them. Why? You live in the UK, you know why. They're dead-end towns. The only way people migrate is out of them so they can get a better job and a better education. Take that to the next level and you have Detroit.
Shepd3 -Yeah I know what you mean - I live in West Yorkshire near Leeds and it does have many social problems but Land is often bought. Urdi15 I see what you mean sadly. It's a sorry state of affairs. I'd love to see things improve for you.
