Don't let anyone ever complain about the gear being the reason they sound bad lol.. these guys are into one 1960 model microphone and it sounds like heaven... At the end of the day, it's all on you
@@rachelled6763What he’s trying to say is that people nowadays blame their gear as the reason they sound bad when these guys had primitive (by todays standards) gear and they still sound heavenly
So excited to have found a colourised version of this dreamy performance by the Everly's. It's got to be the best because it makes me feel so good. Love these boys! ❤❤
This program was the first time I had ever seen Don and Phil, other than on photographs. I was totally smitten and have been for the last sixty odd years 💕
cathys clown, the way one of them stays high and the other climbs down, and you get this marvellous dissonance - contrasting so wonderfully with the serenity of dream just before... how do they do it? im enamoured. im 19, i wanna analyse this and use it. so unique, even still
Basically that song is in the key of G, and in the line in question they are playing the chord of G, and one of the brothers is holding a high G note whilst the other brother sings the descending melody line. This is different to their usual harmony which is 3rd harmony. These are probably two of the best pop records ever recorded.
Oh those high school nights! Boarding school in a girls' school was spent in fantasy... We sang along, some (like me) didn't even have a boyfriend to dream of!😁😁😂😂
Harmonies are brilliant on both songs, but I really like the contrast between those two songs performed back to back. I don't think there has come along a singing duo to top the Everly Bros.
Can you imagine the length of their career, If they would have had a manager and not a yes man!!!! At the very least they could have written, produced, engineered, Music!!
Why do you omit the part about bird dog and till i kissed you? goes before all i have to do is dream and cathy's clown. I can't find it in good quality anywhere.
