They lived there for Years and complaining about mold and power sockets. She is on Section 8 and Welfare and only paying $500 rent for a whole house and still not paying the rent. Two grown boys in the house also living free. Just shameful.

Beeping smoke alarm is a sign no one knows to replace a simple battery.

Tenants seem to not realize when you are behind on rent landlords won't fix anything. Fail to report income will lead to termination in the section 8 program. I thank the most high blessing me to get off that type of system.

If she's on section 8, she can find a better place to live. Holes in the floor, mold and critters didn't become a problem overnight! Something doesn't jive because if she still has section 8, even if her income is high enough that she doesn't get a subsidy, they still do inspections because the house has to qualify.

They are always bitching about a house they don't even pay for!!! All while having roaches and every other type of bug and rodent living in this house!!!

These people always: 1) Point out all the things wrong with the home/landlord won’t fix in the home but only get out upon an eviction. 2) Ignore the annoying smoke detector beeps in the home. 3) Have a darn animal when they can’t even keep a home for themselves. If they don’t pay rent, then why don’t they have money and when do they realize if you don’t pay, you can’t stay??

Years ago we had a place for rent a one bedroom. One unit in a duplex. A woman on section 8 showed up with three kids. Immediately they started running around screaming. A nightmare waiting to happen.

How the heck ppl be living with all their homes in disarray like that...stuff is every where but in its place...just ridiculous.

Just like these tenants have a history of not paying rent, some of these property management companies have a history of renting out homes that are basically uninhabitable and siphoning the section 8 system. I hope this lady finds something nicer and safe.

PS I am 73 and the Ramsey Co MN Court reschedules hearings and forgets to sent reschedule notices only to defendants in codes court and child support I know from experience. My nephews wife took previously filed divorce papers with names and dates whited out and submitted them with names and dates written in with pan. Court Docket and they took it and never notified him of his hearing but then wifey was still living at home and got the mail first. Incredible.

do 'NOT' be a lifelong renter. begin saving every nickel, dime, and quarter when right out of high school, or when college is completed before a lifestyle of 'spending' takes hold and then followed up with feeling sorry for oneself and claiming I'll never become a stakeholder and the world's cheated me. every shekel 'must' be saved, no splurging for restaurant or clothes and that car better have 250,000 miles on it. You help yourself and rest assured others will be there for you. not intended to sound harsh or uncaring but get yourself into such a 'cycle' early in life and it gets easy from there on out...

Some of the houses in the copper tone community is not worth a dollar or living in...I see people living in houses that should be condemned..if you will live a hazardous house landlords will rent it...smdh

But ultimately, the renters have only themselves to blame. If they weren't paying rent, that money could have been set aside for a new place. If you withhold rent due to maintenance issues, you have to save that rent in escrow or a bank account in order to pay later when issues resolved. This money ìs still due and can help in negotiations. 😊

I hear a lot of people's smoke detectors beeping and it's like just put a battery 🔋 in the darn thing plz. And there are some slum lords that won't fix anything. But you could fix it yourself take it to court and get your money back.

The house is a mess and the dog is chained up in the back...... When you have respect for your own household and you are grateful you keep it clean and picked up. That poor dog probably doesn't get any attention 😢

The tenant said she liked the price and that's why she hadn't moved. Well if an investor with some capital bought the place and fixed it up the right way you'd be out of it once they raised the rent to re-coup their money back. Tenants like this always want stuff repaired but don't want to pay the increased rent that goes along with having a well maintained property.

They ALWAYS talk about mold as if that means they can live there rent-free. Move somewhere without mold!

Always always always crying about maintenance when they get thrown out. I have told them in court many times, "if the house is so bad, why are you fighting to stay? "
