If you didn't know who "Meatloaf" was... and seeing the actor in the lead role as an old, frumpy no-nonsense Detective... NO ONE would believe he had the MOST phenomenal vocals in Rock-n-Roll history.... Meatloaf was a vocal BEAST on stage!
He sang the anthem at an Australian football game , & was booed off the stage , he must off left his singing voice in the USA , because it was terrible .
@valhipkiss4011 One bad performance does NOT negate his talent... "The Voice" Whitney Houston had a couple of "Not-so-Great" performances in the latter years of her life & career... but we ALL knew Whitney's amazing capabilities..👀 Did you bother to GOOGLE "Meatloaf" in his hay-day?
You dont know the half of it. It happened to me. I am educated and financially savvy and my dad was a CPA. It still happened to me. I became very ill, could not even leave the house for many years, let alone date. I got a little bit better years later, and met a guy online on a dating site. A DOCTOR. In private practice for 40: years, and here i am, a handicapped woman. Over time, not all at once, he got me to “ loan” him almost $300,000. I did not tell my two brothers or my friends, who would have prevented this from happening. Well, when my brothers found out later, they made me sue him and i won. Plus, the judge awarded me $50,000 in interest. And guess how much i collected? Zero. He declared bankruptcy to get out of paying me back. Never in my life would i thin8 this could happen to me. Be careful, ladies. By the way, his name is Dr. Charles Herbert Bagley.
Who can you trust, if not someone you have known for 20 years? Very scary world we live in. The way this man was acting and speaking you would never guess in a million years the black murderous heart inside. Ladies watch out.
thanks so much i was soooooooooo interested to know the movie title and also the name of the actors. Meat Loaf is brilliant in this role. I never knew he was an actor as I only know him for his spectacular singing career. Wow. Who would have known. RIP Meatloaf. thanks for sharing.
She's from the 80s and was very Sought-after for Movies. Ally Sheedy is 61yrs old now. This Movie is "Citizen Jane" from 2019 with the late 'Meatloaf' as the New Detective. Ally Sheedy starred in Bad Boys (1983) WarGames (1983), Oxford Blues (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), St. Elmo's Fire (1985), Blue City (1986), Fear (1990), and Man's Best Friend (1993). To name a few.
Except that when going from SF to San Jose, you don't cross the Golden Gate Bridge, unless you're going the really long way circling around the entire bay...

In 1983, Jane Alexander was a sixty-one-year-old widow and mother of six children who lived in Marin County, California, with her romantic partner, Tom O’Donnell. But on October 23, Jane’s aunt, Gertrude McCabe, was found brutally murdered in her San Jose home. And the killer - Tom O’Donnell - fled with over $10,000 of Jane’s cash. Soon she discovered he had bilked her out of more than $200,000 of equity in her home, which she was about to lose. Tom O’Donnell was denied parole at his 2007 parole hearing and died in prison in January 2010.
How did the guy steal the money she inherited from the aunt? The aunt's house wasn't even sold yet. Most reasonably intelligent women would never give a boyfriend total access to their mortgage/deed/ bank accounts, and then blindly ignore them and never read their own statements.... Really?
They said multiple times that she didnt get the money yet. She lost the house bc he stole HER money. That was the first thing the detective said when they suspended tom. They could get him on fraud and go from there.
@@mikal7133But still why would she give him access like that? And how come she didn't know money was missing out of her account? 🤔 I check my accounts every day. And I damn sure wouldn't give a boyfriend access to get money out without my knowledge; whether he was investing it or not.
I was thinking the same thing! If this was really happening, the house would be roped off for months while they investigate the crime scene and look for evidence. In this movie the cops just invited Jane to come right in!
So this movie is actually called Citizen Jane and was released in 2009 but because they're probably stealing the movie from LMN they can't put the title.
This movie does not make sense. Tom was in San Francisco during the murder. He hired a car, which was driven to Gertude by someone else, who murdered her. Then susdenly Tom himself becomes the murderer.
The comment section usually reflects what people think about what they have just watched……..so for those who decide to read the comment section first …….I’m afraid you can only blame yourself really for any spoilers ! Not much point making a comment prior to watching now is there 😂
It's supposed to make her unlikable I think for what's to come. Come on sweetie, can't be that sensitive. Makes life too hard. In real life I'd like to see a b handled of course but it's just a movie :)
My mom gave her house keeper a key to my apartment to clean my apartment. I had some people rats. I broke off a girlfriend boyfriend date with her brother who disrespected me. I came home from work and Jack Stuart, my pet rat with bedding stuffed in its mouth like on purpose. Before that, mom suggested, I teach her how to feed my rat I gave the water cup to fill with water. She hardly spoke English. She was from Mexico. I wasn't fluent. She put water in it. In my blind spot, she put some house hold product in it. Bubbles she wouldn't let me see what she was doing to the cup of water. My mom said, I remind her house keeper of a parakeet. And she kept petting my head like it in front of my mom like she's an angel.
This was actually based on a real crime. I thought it just a lifetime fiction script. But it's actually titled Citizen Jane after her Jane Akexander who became famous after this for her diligent detective work she did along with the actual detective on this case. Google Citizen Jane. An amazing woman. Great movie!!
I thought Ally Sheedy was just fine And I didn’t know meatloaf was an actor myself that’s news to me but he was also good I don’t like the way they give the actual plot away by the name of the movie the evil husband who else could it be DUH 🙄
Per your comments about the text being blocked at the end of the movie: The organization that Jane Alexander founded is 'Citizens Against Homicide.' They have members now in all 50 states.
I knew he did it when he kept trying to keep her from talking, silencing her and disappearing on “business” trips. I said to myself there’s no trust fund and he’s gonna take every dime and leave her hence why he didn’t marry her.
Wow, and now it seems that the wife is a natural detective after all. Awesome, I guess it just comes out naturally of some people who are very determined to find out what happened and who killed their family member. I'm impressed👍
