It's been requested for a long time, and we're finally in India for a dose of True Crime and coffee! This is a very peculiar case, and in my opinion, it's pretty obvious who killed Sheena Bora... But what do you think? Was it Indrani? Or is something else happening here? Please let me know what your thoughts are below; I'm genuinely interested to see what the general opinion is! And thank you to Nord VPN for sponsoring today's video and keeping me safe! I have no doubt that her "mother" (I am using quotation marks because she may biologically be her mother but she gives REAL mothers a bad name) had a hand in or actually murdered her daughter. As materialistic and fake as Indrani is I couldn't see her tarnishing her reputation in the slightest. However, without proof, we will never be able to lock her up for life. Even if there was proof and she somehow had a trial, she would pay off the judge and/or enough of the jury to ensure a not guilty verdict.

Friendly? Have to dispute that, people I know in India are hiding an having to be removed from the internet because they are being persecuted and one has been murdered for being A: white / American and B: Christian. Racism, Xenophobia and denial of freedom of religion are the opposite of friendly. I’m sure many Indian people are also against it but it’s still a regular occurrence there.

It all boils down to the judges and they can be threatened and bribed as well. If jail is unavoidable, they would give the culprits like 5 years or something and when they come out of the jail, they would get articles and stuff exonerating them. The actor Sanjay Dutt was in for a serious charge that linked to terrorism. A hit movie was made after him, basically showing him a likeable misguided dude. It is as if nothing happened.

My theory is that if you're in a precarious position in life, a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. An education may open doors for more desirable opportunities than farming, but it also creates more potential for things to go WRONG in life. There's no guaranteed security in it. Therefore it's usually for people who are already fundamentally secure.

For those that are new to this case., you can find a lot of taped recordings that Rahul had made when he called his father, and each time his step mom was also on the phone first listening and then taking over the conversation in a very calm and caring voice. Telling him not to worry, Sheena was very happy in the US and if there was anything he needed, implying money or a new car etc. There are all in English because Rahul grew up in England and has a strong English accent. He did not know any Hindi or Bengali. And his step mom is very well spoken in English too. She has some remarkable skills. THIS IS THE FACE OF PURE EVIL.

Very true. How many times I have forgiven and let my guard down, only to be manipulated. I realize there is no way for me to match wits with cunning users who think of others as pawns for their own purposes. I don't know how their minds work. I will never understand it. Perhaps one reason I indulge in true crime is bc I have a morbid curiosity into these minds of such deviant devils. It forever behooves me how often victims are the kindest innocent souls, trusting that others are as well. It saddens me to become jaded and guarded. But Ladies!! we must stay alert, listen to our gut instincts, try not to travel alone, make sure you have your mace, keychain alarm, etc, And today we have to take the time to look deeply into a person's background. Most of all, when someone shows you who they are, BELIEVE them. It's the 2nd chances, the doubting our own instincts which can entrap us.

Sheena was definitely murdered by her mother. Except that I am still living, my relationship with my mother mirrors Sheena. From my birth until the day she died in 2002 my mother neglected, abused, sabotaged, triangulated, criticized, lied, stole, defrauded and betrayed me on every level imaginable. After a childhood steeped in trauma, I finally got a break from her constant abuse when she abandoned me and I went into foster care. Out on bail she came home packed, sold everything that wasn't nailed down even the stove, gave me a note for her friend Gloria and cabfare to her house. The note said that she would send for us in two weeks after she was settled. Meanwhile, Auntie Gloria knew that was not going to happen and called authorities. Sadly, I was so damaged by then that I was happy that she had left. While the transition to care and the subsequent challenges were also traumatic, they paled by comparison to what I had been subjected to at my mother's hand. Space to elaborate and continue the saga is limited so I will offer some hard earned observations. 1) Motherhood does not change a bad (narcissistic) person. If you are essentially a lying, cheating, selfish woman before you conceive, birthing does not change that. All that means is that you now have another person to exploit. Blood means nothing. 2) Evil exists. Unfortunately, it is all around us. Stop making excuses for inexcusable behavior. When you see children suffering say something. I could never understand why no one reported my mother to child protection. They could have called anonymously. We were dirty, hungry, habitually truant, often without heat, power or hot water. If it is winter and there are no lights on in a house with school age children and the mother is out partying why did no one call the authorities? Or check themselves by knocking on the door? Even as a kid, that mystified me and still does. 3) Trust your instincts. If something seems off, follow up and ask a question or two. Tell someone. Get someone else to listen to your concerns. How is it that there are hungry, dirty kids in a cold, dark house with no furniture and their mother is out partying dressed to the nines. Believe your eyes. Whether it is child abuse, domestic violence, elder exploitation etc, say something! It has taken a lifetime for me to recover. Although I survived and broke the chain, I am still haunted by my early neglect. Years of therapy and a few very good friends are the reason I am still standing. 🕊️

The defense successfully argued that he was sitting in the passenger's seat, and not drivers seat. Nobody could prove who actually was driving the car, if not Salman Khan, and the Judge bought the story and let him go. So, we all say that Salman Khan had a Driverless Car 20 years before Tesla.

He’d put her whims ahead of my well-being but I still did my best for him. And then for her after he died and she was alone, having alienated all her friends and family. I don’t regret what I did for dad but mom was so awful to me for the 2 1/2 years before she died too I wish when dad died I’d taken half the money and left her to figure out how to take care of herself. My bio donor had munchausen syndrome and by proxy and my mom's perhaps paranoid schizo (undiagnosed but definitely plausible with the crazy shit she thinks is real) and the only parent I ever really had was my step dad. I still haven't fully gotten away from or over her way of being. I can't fully blame her but I can't excuse everything either and it drives me nuts sometimes. And it is so easy for that to turn into anger and negative feelings that are uncomfortable because they are your parents and you love them. Especially when kids are parentified we tend to feel bad for everyone else going through it instead of ourselves. That anger always festers and comes later as that one last blow out. I haven't gotten over it, but this gave me hope that healing is possible. So thank you. May love and happiness be with you wherever you go, no matter how cruel the world may seem.

As an Indian and crime story enthusiast, I had followed this case keenly. The motive for the mother to kill Sheena was many things including what you mentioned, inheritance. Also one of the reasons was that Sheena was demanding a 3 bedroom apartment in Mumbai (would cost a fortune in Mumbai) and if she does not get it, she would reveal to everyone that she is not Indranis sister but rather her daughter. That seemed to have been the trigger. The driver, in his confession also supposedly mentioned that when Indrani sat on Sheena in the car to strangle her, she shouted "here is your 3 bedroom apartment"!!

It gets very dispiriting to see people covering the same case over and over auch as sheri papini - I outwardly groan when i see yet another channel covering the case and it's ususlly just the interview... there are so many worthy missing and genuinely kidnapped people who need a voice but sadly most creators only cover the ones that will generate most money... which is dispicable. @@CoffeehouseCrime There are a lot of interesting cases that are a bit older. Ho-Sun Kang is a notorious one. He's considered the Ted Bundy of Korea and has killed over 10 women including his own wife. Hwaseong Murderer Choon-Jae Lee is also a serial killer. Seung-Jae Kim was a singer and rapper in Korea that was killed and his murder is a cold case. There are also tons of Kpop cases where people commit suicide due to online bullying. Although, most are not murders, I think it's an interesting topic to cover in general and doesn't get enough limelight in North America. It's seriously an epidemic. Ji-hye Lee, a 22 yr old Law Student who was brutally murdered and this case isn't very recognized but it has a very sinister outcome and is a solved case. More recent sad cases include non-murder cases like Sewol Ferry Disaster and the Itaewon deaths this past Halloween. To me, this case deserves THE MOST RECOGNITION but barely any True Crime RU-vidrs besides Korean or Asian channels, cover this case. And over 150 people, mostly under 25y/o, DIED from this terrible incident. That's a massacre. It should be as televised as a commercial airplane crash, yet in NA people barely know anything about the case. And most people who go to Itaewon on Halloween are not native South Koreans. They are foreigners. The reason I want to see S. Korean cases covered, isn't because they are so much more interesting, but I think the rise of Kpop, like Anime in Japan, makes many Westerners view Korea in a really positive light. It's a good thing, but also sometimes the reality is, it's like any other country where there's corruption and murders. NOT TO MENTION, the former president of S Korea, Park Geun-hye who was impeached due to major corruption, scandals, and being part of a literal cult. Although, Idk if this is the channel for political scandals, I do recommend anyone to look into her case because honestly, it is SO FASCINATING. She had an insanely crazy personal life too. Her mother attempted to assassinate her father, who was then a former president himself, but then she ended up getting killed. And then later on, her father ended up getting assassinated too, while he was still in power. The whole story is nuts.

If she was like my own mom, she projected all her insecurities onto her daughter and then went into delusions about the men that she wanted wanting her daughter so she just emulated that behavior. That's what my mom always did anyways. And that was since I was thirteen years old.

Thank you for covering case from my home country India. If you have enough money you can take advantage of the complex and corrupted Indian judicial system. They had motive, confession, proof and even the DNA evidence and still money won!!! One of the motive was to keep the money for her kids while Sheena was her own kid as well. Betrayal by your own mother is the worst betrayal that there is.

So sad! In the U.S. we had our own famous, extremely influential and rich politician, who murdered his pregnant girlfriend and yet managed to become a famous politician for decades. Wealth has it's influence.

This so beyond sad, that parent does this... My mother took daily beatings from my dad, protecting me and my sister for way too long. Thankfully she got out of that relationship, and he found my stepdad. Who is the nicest, kindest person and I know.

OMG, Adrian! I am so excited to see this case from my country on your channel. It's morbid, and one of the most twisted cases that we witnessed. Indrani is vile and narcissistic and has no regrets. Still appalled that everyone got bail.

Just minor edit. In 2015 then Mumbai Police commissioner Rakesh Maria received anonymous phone call stating that Sheene Bora had vanished in 2012 and allgedly she has been killed. Rakesh Maria had asked his best men to work on this tip very secretly as Indriani Mukherji and Peter Mukherji were biggest media tycoon at that time. So Mumbai police set up a trap in order to nab Indrani's previous driver Shamvar Rai. After Shamvar's confession police waited a while as at that time Indrani was on abroad trip. So once she came back to Mumbai after that police procedeed to question her with all the available evidence.

For people wondering about dental records: India doesn't have dental records. Even for insurance, Indians are only interested in vital organs. Thus, no insurance company carries any dental plan unless you have had an accident. Otherwise, any dental procedure under the sky is considered cosmetic in nature and no insurance company covers them

So sad. I feel so much for the fiancé. I am sure Sheenas spirit watches over him. The mother is going to learn the hard way when her time comes, that money means nothing when you're dead. If justice is not done in this life, it will certainly be done in the next.

NEW CASE IDEA: Would you be willing to cover the case of Bruce D Mendenhall? He was a American truck driver that killed around 6-9 women across the states, until they caught him in 2007. And he was found guilty in 2010. A recent one that may never get solved is Roy Nellsch, he was charged with attempting to kidnapped a women in 2019, and possibly killing others over the years of his trucking career. Before his trial could ever begin, he passed away in jail earlier this year (2022). We may never know if Roy had other victims. Perhaps Killer truckers could be a new theme for coffee house crime? Of course lets respect the modern day truckers that do their jobs and didn't do the horrible things these other monsters did. Anyways I also enjoy your videos! It's nice to see someone respecting the victims and their loved ones during these cases.

I have worked for dozens of Indian immigrants here in USA, and I have to say that they are extremely greedy and disrespectful. All my friends that also worked in the professional cleaning business shared the same opinion. Now, the ones that are born in US have a different behavior, ( normal/appropriate ) which I was able to continue to serve. I understand that although cast societies are illegal in India , it didn’t change the culture. I know it sounds bad, but it’s literally 100% of people from Indian that I’ve work for or just gave an estimate, I had a very unpleasant experience. They make you feel unworthy by all means.
