Even all these years and impressive speedruns later, I'm still learning new things about this game. I had no idea that Ruvik could smack you with the door... and that it would cause damage... but NOT kill you on Akumu Mode!
Incredible run mate! I'm using your guide from 2015 and it's been a major help, I stupidly jumped right into Akumu mode to finish off the platinum, last played in 2015, wasn't the wisest of choices....

I beat akumu in 28 hours yesterday because of your guide, I want to thank you!!! Finally got my The Evil Within platinum trophy 😆 now I'm going after the second game's platinum!!
@@andrewcarvajal1378 If you were able to do mein leben then you should be fine honestly. Dying in one hit is definitely frustrating but at least you don’t have to start the game from the beginning. Just be ready to want to tear you hear apart lol.
@@taptap6120 chapter two new game plus dude at the end after the wooden gate there's a shit tonne of enemies to farm with the bolts. The enemies keep respawning, so just take all the bolts with you.
Great job! I really hope they make another evil within game. As much as I had fun with the evil within 2, I still think the first game was better in my opinion and if they make a 3rd game then I hope it's more like the first game

@@deceaseda7x22 yeah that's usually the case for most single player, especially the ones with some scripted section such as tew1 of course and re4 .. Make no mistake framerates could make move and react faster but so does your ai enemies ...

are we sure friend? I made the platinum too but I remember that the level 8 for example .. (or 7 I don't remember well) in short .. the 2 rooms that you wait for your colleague to open many enemies arrive including the big bellies and priests .. I remember that the dog at the end of the level there is of a crazy aggression and broke you in an instant --- in short at the 2 rooms I will be dead 100 times while the dog 150 ... either my enemies were more sons of bitches or you are cheating in some way .. don't give a damn about tew ... can't think you're not dead even once ..
I have been trying to do that bus glitch you showed a while back so I can get that achievement but I can't get the bus to glitch into the wall! How the heck did you manage to do it? I am still stuck.
How are you killing the first sadist in the barn woth 4 shotgun shells and 5 pistol rounds? I've done that so many times on an easier difficulty and still doesn't kill.
Hello, first kill the enemies around you, gather all the 2 traps that are in the barn, use it to your advantage and also burn it with the straw things that can be burned. You have to be very patient. That's what the akumu mode is about. Greetings from Argentina.
@@slide2989 I managed to figure out what the problem was. I wasn't using the axe to attack after opening the chest, I was going straight into shotgun blitz. The Axe probably does the majority of the Sadist health so missing that was a big deal. This does only work with the DLC shotgun too. It's still annoying I missed the axe attack. It's so basic.
