Frankly, the series hasn't been the same since Season 4. The last time they've shown a punch or attack actually land on someone was Mirio vs Class 1A, since then, they've always cut away, and then just showed the aftereffect at best.
I’m really glad you made a video detailing how the anime handled this. I actually stopped watching the anime when they cut out the league vs clan scene and when I saw how poorly they animated shigarakis quirk awakening.
Someone had to give our boy justice yeah i was really angry they cut out all the clan stuff it’s made even worse after the most recent chapter that just dropped today.
@@Bojake it's such a shame I really really wish they introduced the idea of heteromorph prejudice much sooner. It's such an interesting bit of world building and would have made the series so much deeper and more interesting. I wish it wasn't something that was rushed towards the end of the series.
I'll never get over this. Ever. Like, the anime is forever garbage to me. I don't care how well the latest episodes have been adapted. MVA was important. And the fucked it.
It’s a shame that the adaptation for this arc was so lackluster. I didn’t watch it but just seeing some images really hammers how badly studio Bones fumbled. It’s like they didn’t care about the Villains. A part of me hopes one day we can get a good movie adapting the content. But as it stands the latest season has been making up for season five quite a bit so far.
season 6 is doing pretty good job love the ramp up in quality, but man I lovvvvveeedd my villains might be top 5 or maybe even my favorite arc of the series and see it get so butchered really pissed me off.
@@lobstermagnetreview I agree. It’s really frustrating as MVA is my second favorite arc in the series after Villain hunt. And it should have been handled better.
Everyone keeps doing Shiggy and the league dirty. From the poor adaptation of MVA to the current events in the manga, whatever potential Tomura had has been flushed down the toilet.
@ericmanget4280 So it is ok for bloody Deku to be OP? You need powerful villains on your stories not fucking jobbers! If you.m can't fucking understand that kindly keep your opinions to yourself!
It is almost impressive how disappointing season 5 was, the drop in quality is something else. So many great moments were ruined because of poor direction and editing, and the one season that definitely didn't need a recap/filler first episode was season 5 and they still did it! Not everything was bad, there were moments of greatness here and there, but there was also so much terrible decisions being made that it was impressive to me. They keep ruining the impact of some moments by revealing them before they should have with the silly and unnecessary flashforwards... I was at least glad they did the Shigaraki backstory justice with his episode, and season 6 has been a great improvement so far, so I'm quite happy right now.
It's amazing how much damage season 5 did to the fandom. Feels like it's on life support despite still technically what I'd call a big 3 series. I mean I've seen worse things ala the promised neverland season 2. But sometimes extended mediocrity can be the worst killer and oh god I forgot about the filler recap episode which really was not needed but has become a sort of tradition for each season.
Dark Hero Arc 🤝 Meta Liberation Army Arc - Both having a decent arc pacing and both being the PEAK & BEST arcs in terms of pure writing in My Hero Academia, having to be fumbled by Studio Bones' anime adaptation (adapting the Dark Hero from 22 chapters, to just 6 episodes, and adapting Meta Liberation Army from 23 chapters, to again, just 6 episodes).
Apparently despite the fact that the anime is released in seasonal order the production is done in weekly basis like how Naruto, Bleach and One piece used to be made... So add on a decreased budget and a movie to do yeah you can see this was never going to end well
🍝 I had no idea *Stanley Tucci* was an actor. 🤯 I thought he was just some dude who prolly wrote a book touring Italy, like a Neo Anthony Bourdain or some shit. I didn't even REALIZE I had seen any of his films, or that he made him.
I mean yeah the last season they kind of did my man dirty but this new season like look they trying to fix what they did to my boy last season even the preview for S6 episode 5 looks like it has potential
It’s like night and day. No recap and there’s so much talent on board. It’s like the studio realizes they couldn’t get this upcoming arc wrong. And so far they are doing it justice.
@@laurocomantrucking along. Been working on some other non channel stuff. So haven't put out anything for a while but always love seeing older videos that I thought deserved more attention get traffic so I'll more often then not respond.
Taboo? Showing the mistakes of both sides is a taboo? Bro your mind is messed up. Thank God seinen Mangas are unaffected, even though most of them don't have a good adaptations or don't have any. In the manga some scenes were ruined by bad plot armor. Mha should not have added cool villains if they wanted to ruin the series like that
I'll cover it eventually. I have mixed feelings. I like the bitter sweetness of it. But I also think all of Deku's friends leaving him behind as he works a menial job is super depressing. Doesn't even get to have his love interest confirmed.
@jeffreyali3644 the stupidity is just gaining momentum. Trust me on this one. Not a single soul is able to critique it. They lapping it up like hungry dogs
@@istalkghosts497 I did hear about the stupid shit they did especially with the iron might. And yeah MHA fanboys will defend anything no matter how stupid it is.
@@IMMACYCLOPS I think shigaraki fading away just for a one panel team up was pretty goddamn lame way to go out. Always thought shigarki might get redeemed needed more then just that.
@@lobstermagnetreview And apparently Nana fixed him up and they reconciled off-screen before attacking AFO I guess. All that gamer friend bonding with Spinner and keeping his whereabouts a secret since ch.373 (with Kurogiri teleporting everyone) only for it to amount to nothing and for Spinner to be left alone thinking that he caused AFO to take over Shigaraki's body by putting Nana's hand on his face (we know that was AFO's plan with the procedure and that Shigaraki was struggling to keep control in the 1st war, but Spinner doesn't). He'll spend the rest of his life thinking that he caused the death of his best friend (if he's not dead or Nomu-coma'd).
I don't think the war arc is the weakest per say but I do think Horikoshi threw out all of his great set up for the villains to seemingly take a crack as possibly ending the series. If I was running things I'd have a few smaller arcs showcasing the new dynamic of the League as they get together a bunch of devices to enact some new villainous plan.
