Lenny Guy I realised that I forgot to change the date on the Snow White after it was uploaded & therefore too late - Thanks for pointing this out though!
Unfortunately I only had a limited amount of time to complete this project & had to make some difficult decisions (aka leave out some classics). Richard Williams has definitely inspired a lot of my work via his Animator's Survival Kit though!
Felix is 1919 Disney was founded in 1921 not 1923 Betty Boop was in 1930 not 1933 Popeye is 1929 not 1937 Snow White is 1937 not 1940 Tom & Jerry is 1941 not 1940 but close Scooby-Doo's 1968 not 1969, but still also close Pokemon video game was created in 1995 The TV series was in 1996 and another 1997 but not in 1998 You should've added a little more animations, but it was pretty good anyway. Possibly Gumby, Wallace and Gromit, Phineas and Ferb, Rick and Morty, Big Hero 6, Dora, and Spider-Man. Just some tips in a non negative way.
Hi there, thanks for watching! This video was made as a 'final-year' college project (I was only 18 when it was created!). While I realise there are more characters that could have been added & better research that could have been undertaken, I was under a tight deadline and had to produce the video fairly quickly. Feel free to read some of my thinking & research process on my college blog here: ccmaidanblackett-fmp.weebly.com/ Thanks!
I realise this however the animation shows that Steamboat Willie (Disney) was created before Betty Boop (Fleischer), hence why the characters are presented in that order. :)
I included the Vitruvian Man in this animation as the man's 2 poses could be considered as 'frames', like in animation. It almost looks like it could depict motion!
I did consider adding this to my animation, however was constrained by time. I also felt that it was slightly too similar to the zoetrope. Thanks for watching!
