For some reason, I believe that Lincoln was a subconscious way for Daisy to deal with her feelings for someone else at S.H.I.E.L.D. I'll give two hints: Monkeys and Engineer. In other terms, she has feelings for Fitz. I don't mean to rain on anyone's so-called "Static-Quake" thoughts!
