Remember, he didn't find out Dexter was a serial killer until he woke up in Dexter's ritual room. He probably assumed Dexter was working undercover or something so he probably couldn't have told her much, just killed her unfortunately.

Out of all of the antagonists in Dexter Trinity freaked me out the most. He's able to portray a regular guy but when that persona leaves he is terrifically psychotic. Especially how he kills Rita and doesn't even mention it to Dexter while he was on the table. Cold and spooky guy

Dexter must have spent like 45 minutes putting all those pictures up. I’ve never seen him put up that many. Ha. Normally he puts up like 2 or 3 pics. Obviously the trinity killer went down as one of the greatest tv villains of all time so they had to go the extra mile. or maybe one of the most memorable of all time. John Lithgow is a fantastic actor and has always been a strong performer as sadistic psycho killer types. See the movie Blow Out (1981) where he stars as a rotten baddie. Blow Out is a Brian De Palma thriller starring John Travolta who has the leading role in one of his very early films. Nancy Allen is there too. Blow Out is definitely worth a watch and holds up well even today.

Nobody ever talks about Christine. Poor girl. I can't even consider her a villain, just a daughter of one. If you were literally on the outside looking in on a parent committing murder, and it was the only good you ever knew, who would you be? She killed for her father, and in return, was broken, destroyed, betrayed and abandoned for it. And even after being verbally obliterated by the very person she loved so dear, she remained loyal. She never gave him up. And when she was denied forgiveness or redemption, the only other form of acceptance she could possibly hope for, she rid herself of a cold, cruel, world. Not that I think it would have saved her anyway, but what if her and Dexter had exchanged words?

Some people missed this i am sure. But when Trinity is walking that woman home, hear what he asks her? Very normal questions, but it was giving him insight. Asking her if her dog will get anxious if she smells his dog. he wanted to make sure she didn't have a big dangerous dog that would give him a problem. And the other smalll talk we all do everday. If Showtime had restraint, they would have ended Dexter at season 4 and the tv-show would be regarded as the cult classic with the perfect finale and ending on the best season yet at the peak. Harrison mirroring Dexter's fate. Dexter killing the Trinity, but still losing overall... Buuuuuuuuut... It's not how the story went Instead, Dexter went out with the wet fart. What's worse is that it ended the same time the freaking Breaking Bad did. So, the shitty ending was even more shittier in comparison. What's even worse is that years later the show got second chance to end things right, and New Blood was kinda good, until the finale, where they fucked up again I want to show my wife the tv-show, but I am like, should I even start if I am planning to end it on season 4

JL is a damn great actor. Funny like fool on 3rd Rock from the Sun from a deadly killer on Dexter and Cliffhanger. Like Bryan Cranston, these two can be funny, silly, fools, but at the drop of a dime... KILLER

This season.... this Episode, this ONE scene alone... has got to be one of the GREATEST moments in Television history?!? To think the writers were able to SHOCK an entire fan base is incredible. For me season 4 is the best season, with the exception of season 1, which to this day is my favorite season of ANY TV show I've watched. Incredible writing and directing.... and Michael Hall absolutely NAILS the character of Dexter.👍👏👏👏

I used to watch 3rd Rock from the Sun when I was a kid… That was the first time I saw John Lithgow in anything, so I’ve always associated him with his character (Dick Solomon) from that show. Needless to say, when he showed up on Dexter as Trinity, all I could think was that is definitely not the Dick Solomon I remember. 😛 phenomenal actor.

Funny enough I started watching the show from Season 5 & up to the last (before the Alaska season); then I watched from Season 1 to 4. It was confusing but the story went full circle & season 4 really is the best season. The story did become sillier after :P

Even though it was never explained i think it was obvious lundy knew exactly what dexter ( was ) thats why he came back out of retirement to ask dexter to help him catch trinity. Remember even.lundy admitted he didnt think doakes was the bay harbour butcher!!!!
