MJ didnt bleach his skin thats a rumor. He had a skin pigment disorder called Vitiligo where you lose the pigment in your skin. I have the same skin disorder. Im mostly Italian so i have a naturally darker skin complexion as well, and half of my skin is white white. Like Albino white, thats because there is no pigment. This is just a genetic disorder that is in most cases hereditary, it also makes you very vulnerable to skin cancer and other skin diseases that could be caused by sunlight or other causes. This is why youd frequently see him carrying an umbrella in the sun. Fortunately for me mine stopped spreading when i was in high school, so i didnt turn completely pale.

skin bleaching doesn’t work on people without vitiligo, he didn’t bleach it tho, he put on makeup in the 80s to keep his skin colored so that the vitiligo wouldn’t show because he had white patches from his melanin being destroyed by the disease, his nose changed because he broke in in the 80s and had to have surgery to fix it, plus he had lupus do that destroyed the healing process so he had to manually heal it by doing a follow up surgery, and also partly because his dad made fun of his nose
