Scorpion's Mom, realising her priceless china is broken with Scorp's rope dart laying among the shards: Scorpiooooon? Scorpion: ... y-yes m-m-mom? Scorpion's Mom: GET OVER HEEEEERRREEEEEE!!!!!!
You wanna look cool and know all MK music now guess what when I first played MK I was about 12 years old and now I m 36 guess that makes me know more than you do mister rilisen or whatever !
Mortal Kombat took a cinematic, orchestral turn in their music after MK vs DC. They should return to their more electronic classic roots. I love that midi lo-fi MK video game sound. All the games up to Armageddon had great music.
I miss the days when Mortal Kombat had music specifically for the character select screen. They haven't done one since Mortal Kombat 9 (2011). I menu music for both MKX and Mortal Kombat 11 are ok but we need character selection music to give the feeling that we the players are prepared for a deadly game of blood and guts and perfect violence. Mabye in the future but until then we shall listen to the jams from Mortal Kombat through 2011.
MK1- Oriental feeling, while being upbeat, makes you feel ready and excited for a great battle. MK2-The Oriental feeling is still present, although the tone is certainly darker, more hasty, as the stakes are higher. UMK3-Evil, chaotic, desperate, sounds like a ticking bomb is about to explode, you need to be quick in order to stop the impending invasion. MK4-Oriental atmosphere returns, yet it doesn't feel the same, with the screams in the background, you can feel an evil like never before has returned, and once more you need to rise in order to stop it. MKDA-Twisted, demented, everything that is good is starting to decay, and there's almost nothing that can be done in order to stop it. MKD-Tragic, hopeless, there's is nothing that you can do to stop this evil, the world is ending at your feet, you were fooled, and now everyone is paying the price. MKSM-Silent, mysterious, as if the eyes of evil seem to closely follow you on a journey that has your very soul on the line. MKA-We have reached to point of no return, grandiosely ominous, the greatest battle of all time is about to unfold, and reality itself is on the line this time. MKVSDC-A clash of worlds, combining stylistic elements from both in what is a mediocre game. MK9-Back to the Oriental presentation, although it also contains the sense of urgency that 2 and 3 provided. Mortal Kombat has always been very good in portraying the feeling and atmosphere of each game, and for that it still is one of my favourite series to date, even though X and 11 were disappointing for me.
@@pooler57 I just don't find it as atmospheric as the other games, there are some tracks I like, for example the Black Market Alley or the Jinsei Fountain one, I don't remember if it's called like that or not, but in other cases I just feel the sound is a bit too modern and electronic for Mortal Kombat when compared to previous releases. I wouldn't say it's necessarily bad or trash, cause there are some tunes I truly enjoy, as an overall experience I find it dissapointing, but if you like it, then it's fine man, I hope you enjoy it and don't take my simple opinion as fact. :)
@@gri3723 I thought you were talking about the main select theme. I don’t really care about the stage themes as much as you do, but the character select theme was the one score that really stood out
@@Robciomixxnfs That was because people were tired of him. He was the canonical victor of FOUR GAMES by that point! So he was the whipping boy for a while, up until the reboot in MK9.
Honestly, I love MK vs DC's theme. Very nostalgic, it gives off a very cinematic and intense vibe, and I used to play that game a lot when I was little.
MK TRILOGY AND UMK3 HAS THE BEST CHARACTER SELECT MUSIC HANDS DOWN. SIMPLISTIC BUT A BANGER. HONORABLE MENTION IS MKDA. MK9 will always have a special place in my heart 💯
Brandon Parson the last best selected character theme selection at its finest to me. It's still sounds amazing after all these years. The first five had the best themes to me
Thank you for this compilation. I think the electronic sounds are more memerable for me. My favourite is probably Mortal kombat Deception. Notable others are Mortal kombat 1 and Mortal kombat Trilogy.
In MK2 Sub-Zero and Mileena seem 2 brothers looking at each other to decide who will tell Mom that the younger brother fell out of bed and does not wake up
The copy of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon my brother and I had eventually got scratched up amd would freeze half the time we booted it up right when the scream and the skull occured. Got an ad on thos video right then that took a little bit to load. Definitely brought back memories and a chuckle
