The 3DS actually does have a startup sound in the home menu just like the Wii, not sure why it wasn’t shown (the clip shown is when entering a game which is silent usually)

Same😢 I used to have a switch but it broke from rain, the screen is broken but the joycons are fine, now I have my second switch with my old joycons and my old games, because I got back my old account, and I also have a Nintendo switch online account with the expansion pack.

Is it weird that as a kid I was always scared of the Wii/Wii U menu sounds? They always give me this weird tingle on my spine and have this unsettling feeling like you are being watched.

It shows the Nintendo logo, then the Nintendo switch logo, both solid white on a black background (Nintendo logo pops up then Nintendo switch logo shows, then fades out and then you get taken into the lock screen)

The DSi and DS make me feel the most nostalgic. There's just something with me that makes me feel calm and peaceful when I hear the DS and DSi start ups. The GBC is one of my favorite start ups and most nostalgic. The switch sounds like I'm about to go on a fun adventure.

I had a DS as a kid, but most of my games were for GBA, played through the DS Lite GBA slot. The GBA start-up just unlocked a core memory for me, I even made a ting sound, right at THAT moment.

A little correction. This screen on 3DS only shows when you launch something, it's not actually bootup screen. 3DS is somewhat similar to Wii, it didn't have a bootup like Gamecube, but those first seconds of menu music really were saying "yeah, you just turned on a 3DS"
