Technically, Ristar was originally a Sonic The Hedgehog prototype, and Sega later on turned it into Ristar, which is why Ristar has Sonics spiked hair style. That game was actually a concept for the first Sonic game.

I think Sonic clearly kicked Marios ass because we released a "The Evolution of Super Mario" video before Sonic's and Sonic's video is already 7000 views ahead of Mario!

Wow... way to leave out the Sonic Advanced series! That was literally one of my favorite games growing up. the controls were tight, the story was small but just good/long enough to keep me playing, the character sprite work was BEAUTIFUL! Also it was fun and challenging to collect all the chaos and get the emeralds. That was also when Sonic was just entering the X series.

Technically, yes, Ristar is a Sonic game because it was originally a Sonic prototype that was rehashed, turned into Ristar. This is why Ristar has Sonics spikes.

That is definetly an awesome Sonic game, I did not mean to leave it out though. I actually own it on Saturn. However, it is mostly just an improved Sonic 1, 2, and 3 with Sonic and Knuckles. I wish I could of used the 3D world though... that was evolutionary.

Sonic's overall appearance did not even change that much. I do not understand why people are complaining all the time about the designs. He still looks like the Sonic I knew as a kid and always did.

Yes, as mentioned before, I did not use every single Sonic game in this video. I only used about 30 of Sonics games. So, yes, there are some Sonic games missing from the video and I am aware of that.

Sonic's sprite in sonic 2 is the best in my opinion. The Sonic 3 one was alright but I like the sonic 2 one better.

Sonic Lost World is actually very good. I bought it and the game is great. Awesome online scoreboards provide tough competition. The game is tough but very good.

nah not in the least. the music alone is more than awesome enuff. also we kinda got of acknowledge that sonic adventure was meant to be the launch of a new sonic, it was an intentional departure from the sonic i love & grew up with, they weren't aiming to please me, they were going for drastic changes to pull in a new audience in an expanding competition.

The 3D world from SJ would've been a sweet touch. I bought Sonic Jam right when Saturn was discontinued. $18. It seems to be worth a bit more now, not that I'd ever sell it. I like that it has save states, Sonic 1 has the spin dash and works with Sonic & Knuckles, and even though the overworld is just random objectives, it's fun and plays well :)
