My daughter and I just saw Mission: Impossible Fallout. When we got out of the theater she started running and said “look, I’m Tom Cruise!”. I replied “I’ll be impressed if you’re running like that when you’re 56 years old”. Dudes a beast.
1st. I equally love both Tom cruise movies(especially Mission Impossible) and the Bond verse. So, very happy to see a comment comprising both of them. 2.Good observation
He's been "running on screen" for nearly four decades!! I mean you got to respect Tom's commitment to his craft and his love for movies. He's the biggest movie star alive, that's a fact!
@@gardetto265 who said the best? Can you read? I said the biggest....there's a big difference. He's by far the best known movie star in the world! And with the longest career at the top of the game. This is a fact. But I never said he was the best actor. There are better actors out there. People just are always dying to comment and call you out but can't read properly.
@@gardetto265 let it go? So just because you are losing an argument you are telling me to let it go? Now that's funny. You are the one who should have let it go not me. I'm not letting it go when I know I'm right. See my point here dude? You are trying to play it off like its no big deal, and I agree that it really isn't, but I'm not gonna let it go and accept something when I know I'm right and you are wrong. You are the one who should have let it go. So I suggest you let it go by not replying and we will leave at that.
@@mobiustx6752 Dude has fantastic sprinting form. It's evident to a runner. You act as though a Hollywood type who does his own stunts couldn't sprint for 800 meters...
You can notice his running form is a lot better in the Mission Impossible movies or in movies he plays some sort of agent, showing that his character has the right training to run better.
No cuts? At 50 years old? When I was 30 I'd sprint up hill and walk down and repeat. I think I ran uphill for 10 or 15 seconds. It might've been 15 or 20. Probably not 25. That would've been doable but my speed would've tapered off and I'd've been hurting more than was productive.
Man, Tom is such a runner; in fact I'd binge watch a whole series with him constantly running and never get bored. Hope he'll stay healthy and run another 50 years for his fans!
@@asexualunicorns0114 Oh he will run, my panting friend. Every year he's getting faster and faster, I mean: look at his technique and this aerodynamic shape he has gained after training so many years of running! In 50 years all you'll see from him is a lightning rushing by, followed by an supersonic boooom! Even Forrest Gump couldn't catch up with this man, trust me. In a world gone mad, this original speedster is the only constant one can rely on.
My friend told me that there's a video on RU-vid and it's all about Tom cruise's running scenes I was like- who the fuck would see that video And now here I am
Dude got the best helicopter chase scene, fighter jet scene, halo jump, bike chase, best fight scene, best heist. But here we are watching him running for minutes. Dude deserves an award for that
Everyone who watches a Tom Cruise movie expects to see his run, it's one of the climax of his movies. They probably have a separate contract for his run as it's its own entity now, and he probably gets additional pay for it as if it were a second actor.

We're missing two films, In Days of Thunder (1990) 1:21 he runs for a total of 8 seconds, before the frame freezes and the end credits roll, but i guess that's enough to qualify for a spot here. Tom actually runs briefly in Rain Main (1988) during the 'smoke alarm scene': ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z6qco6gCsVE.html
His sprinting form got way better over time aside from him never lifting his knees very high. He has way better posture which prevents him from having backside mechanics, but his force application, especially with his arms, has never gotten to where it needs to be. Someone has clearly coached him, but he swings his arms up a bit instead of focusing that energy down (your arms will swing up their own if you focus swinging down). That and being a bit more relaxed would probably make him way faster, but even then, he is the antithesis of the Steven Seagal run, so I can respect that.
Nobody runs like that lol. I love TC but his running style is just ridiculous. I've been around track and cross country since I was 10 years old and have never seen somebody run that way. It is not natural at all.
Bournefort if you’ve been around cross country and track your whole life then you would know Michael Johnson was criticized his whole career for running like that until he broke world records lol.
I look forward to the "run scene" in his movies. He truely looks like he loves to run. As I get older I look to him for the inspiration of youth. He is the best. I know when I watch a movie he is in that it is good because he puts forth all his effort for excellence. Thank you Tom.
I know everybody loves the MI:3 run, and it's great. But for me, his running hit it's coolest moment in MI:6, specifically in this comp at 7:51. He'd already been running in the movie for a while, and I don't know if this was Cruise's bodywork or the camera- & music-work or both, but at that moment when he goes under the bridge, he actually looks like he digs deep, finds another gear, and somehow _accelerates._ You really believe that Hunt was running for his life. I replayed that part a dozen times just loving how cool Cruise and the crew made that moment.
1:30 THERE it is. That is when his iconic sprint first appeared, in Far and Away (1992). The man has been running up a stellar cinematic career ever since. One of the best physical actors in the business. He also caught some of the best roles in movies somehow. They say there are 2 movie stars that have to have a special insurance while on the set of any production: they are Tom Cruise and Jackie Chan. They always do their own stunts. This man is an inspiration. Don't just sit there like a spoiled vegetable, get up and run, live your life!
"somehow" That part's no mystery. First it was simply, his dashing good looks, but he devoted himself to his craft like no one else I've ever seen, and became one of the best actors who has ever lived, from the most incredible physical stunts to the tiniest adjustments of his facial expressions and speech. That's why he's gotten all the best roles he's wanted for the past 30 years.
He runs basically in every situations: WAR OF THE WORLD: during aliens invasion LAST SAMURAI: during a war COLLATERAL: in an hospital MI GHOST PROTOCOL: during a sandstorm and a skyscraper explosion MINORITY REPORT: before a murder BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY: during a training for war MI 3: during a terrorist attack on a bridge DAYS OF THUNDER: during a car racing VANILLA SKY: in a completely desert New York OBLIVION: in a desert THE FIRM: in the middle of the road with traffic COCKTAIL: on a beach MI ROGUE NATION: during a concert THE MUMMY: during another sandstorm MI 2: between some pidgeon😂 What a guy
I think my favorite is M:I Fallout where he's sprinting on rooftops, then you get the shot of him running with the river on his left and the camera effect makes it look like he's running _even faster_ and it's hilarious. Turbo sprint.
tom is the best at what he does an absolute master of his craft in every sense of the word tom always goes above and beyond to entertain the audience the level of hard work and commitment tom has is immense to say the least tom cruise=legend
Saw mission impossible fallout in theaters with some freinds while on acid, it was quite the experience, at one point, I remember watching Tom cruise sprinting for what felt like an eternity, it’s a few minute scene, but while under the influence it felt like absolutely so long that I had lived an entire life time. I looked over at my buddies who were all looking at the screen with the same look as me, they felt me looking and all looked at me, and we all simultaneously busted out laughing. That whole movie, was Tom cruise sprinting, and I loved it. Knew there had to be compilation out there somewhere and here I am😂
