The cable clearly lift him up...Without it he wouldn't have been able to even grip the edge because of the impact, you can see it at the side angle view, he bounced off a bit and hanged in the air by the cable for an instant
He is the last movie star left aside from Leo Di Caprio. Hollywood is full of garbage people, but Tom Cruise is a man truly dedicated to his profession unlike anyone else.
He ran full tilt NO hesitancy straight off that roof, that alone was crazy, then he completed the shot with a broken ankle - the dude is truly legendary.
Yeah, that's not even the worst injury he could possibly get in a stunt like this... How long was that gap, 7 meters or so, and the wall had a corner made of stone for his body to hit.

Maybe they called 911 but the stand was Made in London so yyyeeeaaahhh why call the US Ambulance they should probably call 999 or 112 🤷♂️🤷♂️ and yeah my Grammar is so bad im not a Native Speaker and my autocorrecture 🙃🙃
The way that Tom got up over that ledge & finished the shot is a tribute to his physical stamina & professionalism. I've been an athlete my entire life, playing football mostly, & I cannot say that I would have been able to do what he did unless my life depended on it. . .
Not sure if this is the real Tom Cruise...but I've been a fan of yours since interview with a vampire. You really are a stellar actor and good looking as well.

To even attempt that stunt is unbelievable, but to finish the shot even after he knew he broke his ankle was utterly mind-blowing. I believe he was 55 years to boot when this happened. My respects.
Ibraheem Monks I'm 58. In just over 2 and a half weeks time and people dont believe my age either people say I look about late 30s to early 40s. Just think. I be 60 in two years time.

Top Gun 2 and Mission Impossible Fallout have been the best blockbuster films i've seen in the last 5 years. This guy is single-handedly keeping Hollywood alive for those of us who don't go nuts over Marvel.

Say what you want about Tom Cruise and his personal beliefs, but he's supposedly an incredibly nice guy and the movies he produces employ a great deal of people. He definitely gives 110%

You just have to give huge props to Cruise, no matter what you think of him personally or even as an actor. The guy commits to his work the way very few people do.
One thing has nothing to do with the other. The audience oohs and aahs when they see him in the film clinging to the side of the building or side of the plane. No complaints about arrogance then. Even if is arrogance, are you really going to debate that he isn't incredibly committed.
There really are two types of people "Now this is the bad one. So if you're squeamish..." *Henry Cavill gets closer* *Simon Pegg looks away* And then you have Tom Cruise laughing at his own ankle snapped in two.
What eve more crazy is that, Tom cruise is like 57 making his own stunts, broke an ankle, still proceeds to run. He is a monster. Also i dont get the hate he is getting, Is it because of his acting? Tom cruise literally committed himself doing all of these suicidal stunts.
Tom Cruise is a part of an absolutely insane cult. He deserves every bit of hate he gets for promoting Scientology, as well as being a higher up within the cult.
Droco ? A salty loser? For what not agreeing with Scientology? Have you done any kind of research as to what scientology is, or what they stand for? They are a very toxic community that denies science and also oppresses their lower community members.
Many people make alot of inappropriate jokes about this man, special height wise, but he is absolute legend with balls of steel. Perfect actor for his roles.

He is above 55 years age and this cheetah runs like hell and does stunts for entertaining fans, what a legend. He didn't stop even after getting his ankle injured, that's the spirit. Can we give a big thumbs up to this star.
Can confirm. Worked on Oblivion with Tom Cruise. Saw him crash his motorbike multiple times while attempting jump stunts. Always stood right back up and continued. Consummate professional.
Yeah, except him being involved in one of the most evil organisations on the planet DOES deserve all the hate and contempt. Murders, extortions, lies and cover-ups. Do your research on scientology. It is evil, has to be taken down, and he deserves no coddling
I liked several of his recent movies. Edge of Tomorrow was great. That next to last Mission Impossible, Oblivion, Knight & Day were good. I even thought The Mummy was okay but his name does not pull in the money like it used too mostly because that Scientology stuff is weird. Also the big blockbusters are now superhero movies and they tend to cast younger actors in lead roles.
His acting is excellent, we just don´t see him in more emotional roles. Having said that, his work ethics are second to none. Small in stature, a giant among men. I have a lot of respect for him.
He's one of the best performers, when it comes to acting he's not quite as far up there with the like of Heath Ledger, Al Pacino, Joaquin Phoenix, Gary Oldman etc, but obviously those guys couldnt be Ethan Hunt
Tom is a proper movie star, he deserves his success, he is a nice guy too, on one movie it was freezing on the set and the company didnt supply coats for the extras so Tom bought THEM ALL, there were lots of them. Actually, all great people on the sofas here.
I remember I was working as an extra on a Disney film and it was freezing they didn't supply coats at all; only blankets for some of the woman like bruh men feel coldness too uno
Breaking the foot was really tough, but he got way too little recognition for hanging off of the Pulpit Rock in Norway, which was shown at the end of the movie. I've been there (famous tourist attraction), it is freaking nuts to hang off of that cliff!
I remember when he crashed the bike while filming Oblivion. He was lucky not to get hurt then. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GWmJUAVuhPY.html
Just insane he is above 56 and speechless no words That’s the level of dedication in such a age and such a big star still does all his stunts himself Hats off
Le Commandah i cant when Scientology is responsible for breaking up families, mistreatment etc and he is the one who could make a difference. He could save them and stop the suffering. Why ignore that?
I don't understand the hate this man gets. I never will. the scientology thing. yea maybe it's a bit nuts. but every interview ive come across of him. he's cool, down to earth always. and that doesn't even speak for his acting ability and the fact that he does all his own stunts and always puts in 110% into every role. RESPECT.
Yeah, it seems he's gets more hate than deserved. Just being associated with scientology is damaging enough, but as far as I know, Cruise hasn't done anything besides just being a member. Compared to Allison Mack( Smallville chick) who was convicted of trafficking, Cruise probably still gets more hate just because he's one of the most famous members. Don't even know if he is still an active member, but I do know the good work he does as an actor.
Exactly. Scientology? Well, there are also people who belive in virgin birth, man walking on the water and rising from the dead and from my point of view their brains are brainwashed the same way. However, Cruise is always polite, funny and also great actor.
He may be crazy as a sack of marbles in real life, but nobody can deny he's one of the most extremely dedicated stunt actors alive today (along with Keanue Reeves). Most actors won't even fall on their butts without a stunt double, and here is this guy (and Keanue) approaching 60 and so physically dedicated to their physical performance on screen. Very admirable, and makes me a huge Mission Impossible fan (and Matrix/Wick, for Keanu).
Say what you will about his peculiarities off-screen, Tom Cruise is a dedicated actor who, quite literally, throws himself full-force into everyone of his projects. He is the white Jackie Chan with his commitment to do every stunt himself if and when possible. Thanks for the years of entertainment, Tom.
2030: Director: "ok so for this scene the stuntman will jump over the lava pit while suspended by cable. Tom Cruise: "nah I'll do it" Director: "what?" Tom Cruise: "no cables. just let me jump" Director: "uh ok" *tom cruise jumps in lava pit* RIP
D Laws well technically lava is super dense so if he's quick enough he could try to climb back out of the pit and hopefully be saved. Tho he would be very toasty. Then again in 2030 he'll be 67 years old and probably won't be fast enough to get out.
early man fair point, I forgot about his clothes and flesh quickly catching fire and burning him to death... So unless he has EMTs on standby and a proper heat resistant suit he definitely wouldn't stand a chance of surviving. Rip, oh well.
