As a consumer of the pod I have to be honest; this is one of the rare times I actually was so ENTHRALLED listening to the episode. The pod is always entertaining, but these two episodes was cerebral. Don't get me wrong, I would love for many many more of Believing in Milk and Cookies, Ooh There Ain't No Other Wayses, Twirlina Marie Poukettes in the future. Why does NO ONE ask Katya about her linguistic abilities??!! I am so frustrated that nobody talks about this, or asks Katya questions about it, or wants to listen to Katya speak about knowing all these different languages. I think this is the most fascinating thing about this person and we don't talk about her knowing Russian, Italian, French, some Japanese as well. Will someone please ask about this because I will never meet them and I want to know about all aspects (or as much as they want to share) in how they know so many languages and how they learned, appreciated them etc...please I want to know. @miss_conduct. 9 месяцев назад
She doesn't speak these languages fluently, just a bit, sometimes just phrases. She's in the process of learning them. The language she's the closest to actually speaking is French. And she seems to focus on it the most at the moment. It's actually easy to learn a few grammar rules, emmulate an accent, learn a few phrases, but to actually apply it in the wild is marginally harder. Everybody can do it. It's not a magic talent, Katya's just passionate about languages so she puts more effort into learning it. She is good at emulating accents though! Particularly russian one is really good.

@@justavideodiary Hello! In case you don't know how ethics approval works in the US, I'm happy to explain. One does not need to go through a university's IRB (the Institutional Review Board) in order to cite publicly published sources. I can cite this RU-vid video, a book, a TV show, a published piece of music, letters to the editor, RU-vid comments, a newspaper article, a magazine interview, etc, without having to get IRB approval. If something is published to the public for all to hear, it can be cited.

Amazing conversation between these two. Both shines so brilliantly and allowing each other to shine. They took the time to listen to each other and contemplate each other point of views. Please have Sasha Velour on with Katya. I feel that they both would amazing conversations with each other.

Katya needs to do another pod with guests and specific topics. I still need my Bald and the Beautiful insanity but Katya's talking talents are wasted on hvac and Hollywood small talk.

Exactly. I need both. Nothing makes me laugh like the bald and the beautiful, but a pod where katya interviews people would be soooo cool.

Holy crap, that was amazing! What a host, what a guest! Great chemistry, the conversation just flowed from deep topic to delightful point. So far I have enjoyed all the content for free, but I tell you now, if Katya ever decides to do her own talkshow and invites guests of this caliber, I will happily pay for that!

i told a guy i was watching drag race recently and his response was "ugh. i don't like those. don't like how they're grooming kids" i was so legitimately gob smacked that someone could think like that where i'm from. i just sent the snipped of katya saying she hates kids so hopefully that sends the message loud and clear

Please think about advocating Betterhelp; it's a cynical, neoliberalist, commodifying project; for example, promoting or making a USP of the facility to swap therapists encourages avoidant behaviour - NOT therapeutic.

I may be wrong but Mrs Kasha Davis gave up drinking, and still wanted to perform in drag, but not in bars, and she decided to start reading at her kids school. She is an exception, but brings up a good point of there not being a space for drag queens who don't wanna be associated with drugs and alcohol.
