I just noticed that in the scene of the girl saying make it stop, that was the demon making fun of Regan! Very cool. Initially I thought it was meant to be a serious lift from the OG movie. The mocking is SO Pazuzu!

Since it's supposed to be a trilogy, I feel like Linda Blair's going to be saved for one of the later installments.

My god, these girls are giving a hell of a performance. The "body and the blood" sequence gave me chills! Can't wait to see this one.

I think the original exorcist might have the best film makeup of all time. That face will make me jump out of my skin to this day. And the old age makeup was amazing too. I watch a lot of horror and nothing else has given me that visceral reaction I have to regan where I want to look away.

Exorcist 3 is my fave followed by the 1st. This trailer was so effective. The way they teased the theme before it hit when miss mother walked in. So good. Def will give it a shot. No expectations. Havent enjoyed an exorcism film since Emily rose

Knowing the characters that Ann Dowd has played, I bet she has instigated this possession and is a witch or devil worshiper. Also, in the trailer, someone says, "What have you done?". That also clues us in that this seems intentional. Someone was in those woods lighting candles and making sacrifices. 😉

Like THE BEATLES. Can't Duplicate . Original Movie was a ONE OFF. From the Chilling Music . Mike Olfield ( Tubular Bells ). I see the Music Returns. Ellen returns which is good. Modern Jump Scares don't cut it. Has Modern take which takes away From Mystery and Darkness. But I'll give it a shot.

I hope this is good but I have low expectations. There were so many factors as to why the original was so impactful: the world as a whole was more conservative and accepting of religion ( Christianity specifically) so to see something so blasphemous was truly unheard of, the director using questionable methods to get certain reactions out of the actor’s, lots of on set malfunctions, unexplained fires on set, etc…

Eh. That church scene was so contrived. The voice, the contacts, it’s all been done before. Nothing original. The only thing I am holding onto is that Ellen Burstyn is an artist of integrity and picks good projects. Hope she saw something in this story that didn’t in the trailer. Snoozy.

Ellen burstyn is the only reason i want to see it. She's legendary and 90 years old. But it's David Gordon Green. Halloween ends was quite possibly the worse sequel in history. He really turned me off with that bs and it was his call to go in that direction. If Ellen burstyn wasnt in it, i wouldn't see it. But the script must be good if she signed on. The trailer looks good though but trailers can be deceiving.

Definitely not here for people continuing to think that sticking the St Peter’s cross on someone or something makes it Satanic. It makes it super religious. 😭 I love Ellen but I do not have high hopes for this, for a variety of reasons.
