Great story from one of the masters! Humanity's use of language, such as this, will get us into a interstellar war when Aliens visit Earth! LOL!!!

This reminds ne of a sketch on a polish show where a family gets invited for dinner by another one and the inviters take everything literally while the invitees use lot's of word plays. Chaos ensues haha

Ah, a different kind of take then, not the one time authors and keyboard masters of today, but the older hands. Not the first generation, or the second but one who took up their light when that had faded...he's okay. I was always more for Pournelle, Niven, and the second gen scifi authors. Though given how big people seem to make the fights in their HFY stories I keep thinking some need to go back to EE Doc Smith. You want big, you go Lensmen. They use planets as space ships in that one. Not as big as, they just put engines on ships, and eventually use them as projectiles too.

Good stuff. Short but fun.
