Hey I have it in my Gen 3 as well but I can't seem to get it to work on the highway it's only the hands on experience, I checked ford's website and it said the highway was supported. Did you have to activate it somehow?
@@Rodey361 sorry man, it worked straight out of the box. Maybe I got lucky somehow. One thing I do know is that you must have everything turned on for it to work....cruise/lane keeping assist/adaptive cruise. Side note, my gen2 was SCARY to use the lane keeping assist, gen3 is SO much better. Good luck!
I’ve had my 21 Lariat adaptive cruise lane keeping assist actually, multiple times, follow the shadows of power lines on the road and yank the truck off onto the shoulder of the road. Having my hand on the wheel was the only thing that stopped it from literally driving itself right off the road.
@@Bacnow I have saved a loooong list of bugs and issues in my notes app. Most of it is nuisance stuff, but some of it (like this) is functional. Dealer doesn’t seem to care. As expected they “can’t replicate the issue”. 🙄
T e. s !a . is ridiculous. They won't even let people use used parts. If you do they won't let you use their super chargers. My gf has been waiting for parts for 4 months now. And. Found out they can't mix and match from a junk yard. Onlly her front end was damaged a deer at 70 mph does this. I have my f 150 0n order now and it jas almost 12k in options. My gf is ready to order a mach E. And get away from her mode! X. As soon as she can. Thanks for explaining all of the technology. Love ypur videos. Can't wait for my space white f 150 xlt with fx4. And I'm getting it leveled by the dealer. Thanks again.
This is an excellent explanation. Now I know I really want Blue Cruise. The problem I have is I want a Ranger and it is not available there. The F-150 is $20K more!!!!
I have a 2021 F150 tremor and a 2021 F150 King Ranch both with the active 2.0 prep package. Blue cruise is available and active on the tremor but not on the King Ranch. Google says blue cruise shouldn’t be available until 2022 so I’m not sure why one of my trucks updated to it and the other one didn’t…. 😂 hopefully I’m not using some sketchy beta version cuz I use the blue cruise a lot. So far no issues haha
Mitchell I have a 2021 f150 limited powerboost but it is not active yet . but can you tell me when the over the air update is coming for blue Cruise and there another issue my automatic button for activating the automatic update will not turn on I already try the master reset but that did not work on activating the button do you have any suggestions on what steps I should take and if it has to go to the dealership what will they do to activate this feature
Why doesn't it come in the Bronco? ;) Needs Dirt Cruise - hands free trail control - Hell's Gate, Moab... No problem, turn on Dirt Cruise and go. Mickey's Hot Tub... Sure. Black Bear Pass - Dirt Cruise has your back.
Ah, Blue Cruise. Paid for it on my 21 Lariat 502a with the active prep 2.0 package. Was supposed to launch in Q3 21, now its MAYBE going to be available sometime in Q1 22. Good times.
Luvn the over-sized sunroof. I agree with your speed logic. It would be sweet if Blue Cruise would sync with Waze. The cherry on top was Chick-fil-A, jus saying. It's my cryptonite. Peace.
I have a 21 f150 lariat equipped with bluecruise. Any idea when I can expect ford to release the update so I can get it in my truck? Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks bro
I have to comment. We have the Copilot Assist + on our 2021 Escape and while it has some issues, it's fantastic. I see it as transitional and it allows my wife and me to get used to the technology. All these ford features seem to be built on the MobileEye technology. Mobileye is one of the top players in this technology along with Tesla. We have done several long-range road trips and it's great. By Long Range I mean. Albany NY to New Orleans LA, Savannah GA, and back. Albany NY to Peoria IL and Back. And another Albany NY to New Orleans LA and Back. I find I drive differently with these technologies engaged. I have also seen their limits and when they get confused. Which the Tesla system does also. If the Lane Markings have recently been changed because of construction can be an issue. Hands-on the wheel and drive the car. I recently had an issue with the car wanting to track tire skid marks into another lane. And the one I found interesting, in Illinois the Interstate had a different speed limit for trucks that is 10 mph slower than cars. Those signs are 1 mile after the car posted speed limit. With the Intelligent Cruise Control each time it saw one of these Truck Speed Limit Signs is dropped the cruise control set speed down 10 mph. I wish Ford had a portal for owners to provide feedback on these features. They are not broken, but the technology is just maturing.
What happens when you are not paying attention? For example what will happen if the driver passes out? Does it turn on the hazard lights and park itself?
I was promised by the sales team that this would be enabled in the fall of 2021 on my 2021 Lariat Powerboost, and now we are in winter of 2022, and it's still not active. Pretty much false advertising.
I read somewhere some vehicles can/need it uploaded through the diagnostic port by a dealer. I think they said it is free. Might want to give them a call.
Really happy you guys are not doing what other shady dealers are and trying to gouge people with markups. I don't know how those dealers sleep at night knowing they are ripping hard working people off abd demanding money for skiing absolutely nothing. You guys are an example other dealers should follow
Great vid...I have '22 F-150 502A on order with CoPilot 360 Active 2.0 (Blue Cruise) and was curious how it did on BC Mapped highways. Sounds promising.
Im pretty sure their will be a hack so you can take a nap. what happens if you just refuse to listen to it and crawl in the back seat. will it pull off the road?
I’m disappointed. You didn’t tell us how tall you are? WTH Mitchell, you and I are the same height. Does that mean I’m just supposed to assume Blue Cruise works for me too? 😂
I know it wont happen but love to see Ford build a F150 with a carbonated 305 non electronic transmission and drive train. Heat and AC are good but now power windows. locks. Cable speedo, shifter on the floor 4x4 lock out hubs. Minimal tech.
I have a friend who just bought a 2022 suburu ! The bigger SUV? He said that he put a restaurant into the car gps? Whatever. He said that the car drove them down the expressway, got off at exit, and drove them to the restaurant and even parked in the parking lot! Is this possible?
Big brother is watching ... I like tech, but some of this may be going too far (such as phones listening in on your conversations 24x7). OnStar was just used to shut down the engine of a truck that was in a high speed police chase. If auto companies get hacked, could be very bad.
First, Happy to New Years to the TC Customs crew and viewership. I took a few days off for the holidays and then went back to work. My co-workers decided to play a joke and they told me my TC Customs mug was dropped and broke. After seeing my disappointrment, I told them I need cash for a replacement. Everyone laughed, told me I had won the office holiday cash prize and gave me $30. I laughed, took the cash and brought coffee for the office for the next month. Nowadays, I take my TC/C mug home now. I'm not tempting fate. Peace
I believe if it's optioned on your truck then it's a free update. It seems like the F150s built later in 2021 already have it installed from the factory where as the earlier builds have to wait till early next year. Not sure why Ford did this but yea.
When will Ford release the update for the 2021 F-150’s enabled for this? Ford really dropped the ball on communicating to customers when the update will be available!😣
Very awesome!!! Just out of curiosity, can you do a video on the co-pilot 360 assist+? I have it on my 2020 Explorer ST and have yet to use it. Not 100% sure how it works and it's full capabilities. Too scared to know what exactly it does and don't wanna find out the hard way lol! If you do have a video on it, I'm sorry. I try and watch all your videos but may have missed that one. Thanks!!
I have the co-pilot 360 assist+ on my 2021 Escape. It's fantastic. I find I drive differently. Now my driving on the highway when it's fully engaged in thinking about what lane do I want to be in to maintain my speed on the highway. Take your time to get used to the technology. I find is adaptive cruise control is also affected by the driving mode the vehicle is in. Eco Mode is more gradual braking and acceleration than Normal or Sport mode. It also does not adjust speed for sharp curves so you have to watch for that. You still have to drive your vehicle but for me, it's much more relaxing, once I built trust and confidence in the technology.
@@ryan_torres Yes, my Escape has the Stop and Go feature. It Works. The first time I allowed it to work was in a work zone/lane restriction. Generally, I brake before it does. That isn't the case in eco mode. Remember, if traffic does not start moving within 30 sec you will have to press the resume button to tell the vehicle to go.
As long as you don’t take on roads not mapped or that have a big curve. It’s geo fenced. A strategy that is doomed to fail. You can’t maintain an accurate system that is depend on map data. Tesla uses no map data and drives like humans.
What a great advertisement for Tesla Autopilot / Full Self Driving. Even the free version that ships with every Tesla runs circles around this kindergarten software. I guess it's better than nothing for F150 owners (at least until Cybertruck ships).
Another thing that is making people reliant on something to do whatever for you. Big mistake in my opinion !! The problem now is people aren't being taught how to really drive like I was in drivers education. This stuff isn't necessary or needed !
3 lies in one video, impressive. You’re in a fake mustang, that’s not a f150 like the title, while driving a car you called a suv. Since blue is on half as many roads as super cruise, how long until ford catches up?
True. Bluecruise is getting lane change assist soon, though. It will be constantly improving. It will never catch up with Tesla. That's okay. I want a truck with Bluecruise, and it'll be enough for me.
