Agreed. I didn't have any script that would transition well into including a musing on it, but I was glad I could stick it in somewhere so we could all enjoy those rebounding skills.
To his credit, Mr. Belding genuinely cares about the kids, even though they are mostly just a bunch of fartknockers (especially Zack). It's the family-friendly TV dynamic: Exuberance must clash with authority, but it's a friendly rivalry and everybody respects each other at the end. And, yeah ... Rod is a douche.
An introspective Zack would have realized that he would have run off with a flight attendant named Inga if given the chance. Isn't Rod Belding just Zack + 25 years?
@@savedbythebelldeepdives Rod Belding aka the actor Eward Blachford who would keep his long hair for the another teen show Malibu C.A. which was another Peter Engel production but it didn't air on NBC rather first run syndication on Sunday mornings LOL! I feel so old for knowing all this stuff!🤗📺📼👍
For centuries man has struggled to find and bottle pure happiness. Milton found it in a field trip bus. May we all learn that it is in the simple that we find true bliss. Thank you, Milton. Thank you.
Here's another head scratcher: usually school trips of this caliber are taken on coach buses, but that group was like 20 people at most. Why are multiple buses needed? Also, driving from Cali to Colorado is like 16hrs! Add a few more with Coach buses 😂😂😂 I still love this show.
The apparel at the end is great. Some are in shorts, some in jeans but the best part is that Zack and Rod are wearing the exact same clothes sans the vest.
This is the first time I am hearing the plot all the way through. I always had to step out during the part where Rod left. I really thought he had the flu. Then the fact that we never see him again, even in The New Class made me think it was bad. Real bad. Now I feel like an idiot with the fluistrue hashtags.
As soon as Screech mentioned keeping bears out, I knew Shirtless Bear Fighter was going to make an appearance. I had forgotten that one panel and blessed the heavens as I went back through the book. I still haven't read the follow up, but man, that first series was funnier than it had any right to be.
@@savedbythebelldeepdives I enjoyed it quite a bit too. Kinda want a movie with Joe Manganiello in the lead role...and hey I guess my comment did go through. I made one and came back and saw nothing, but here it is today.
@@savedbythebelldeepdives Funny I actually forgot that Mr. Belding did bail I mean leave Bayside in the finale of SBTB: The New Class and excepted an offer to becomea dean at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. Did you know or remember this? Albeit I know you said you never watched SBTB: The New Class. 🏫📚🔔📺
Not sure what to say about this one, except that Rod is a jerk and thank goodness his brother had morals. As a younger brother of a jerk, I can relate. And I like how you always respond to comments so I wanted to throw you some engagement.
When I was in high school, I took a Pennsylvania History elective since it had 4 field trips included. So it’s not inconceivable that there would be class specific field trips.
That sounds amazing and I would almost buy into the premise for SBTB... if they were going a historical site. Then again, maybe the yearly trip is required to detox from simply being in Mr. Dickerson's class.
That will be a bit further down the line. But in a month or so I do a Special about the production vs. airing order of Zack and Kelly's relationship. So that may have to do for now...
@@savedbythebelldeepdives Yay! And yeah, makes sense to do a full deep dive on it once the series is over, especially with what happens in the final season, thank you!
Mr Belding is an administrator, it is his job to make sure the students get an education and stay on track. Though if he is on the trip whos watching the school lol. Milo?
It's not weird for an individual class to take a trip. My AP Spanish class took a trip; I had a specific English class take a class trip to a play, etc.
@@savedbythebelldeepdives My high school stoped having field trips before I even went there LOL because three kids died on a school trip because they went into a funhouse or darkhouse at a theme park and it was dark so one of them had lighter and kept flicking it until it fell on some frabic and caught fire and the 3 teens got trapped inside and couldn't find there way out and died. Hence cancelling any further high school field trips. 🏕🔥🏫🚌
Really? We're all gonna pretend that Kelly kissing Belding on the cheek was appropriate?? Should rename the episode "That time Kelly Kapowski SA'd Mr. Belding"
@@savedbythebelldeepdives completely recommended, no idea how you would watch it now, but it has that real people having real communication and genuine feelings type of feel of a show. Single mom (Bobby Hill voice) raising 3 girls in LA, nuff said really
Normally, I would be quick to praise your in depth analysis of this show. But I've seen the Lost Heroes special on Rod Belding and we all know the Flu is True. Stop slandering the best teacher Bayside has ever had you Balding-lover.
Makes me wish I hadn't wasted my comment on this since I would have rather complimented you on "Two Beldings and one is bailing." Guess I can do both!@@savedbythebelldeepdives
