What’s crazy is Jimmy Vaughan is one of the absolute best blues guitarists in history…personally I think he’s the ONLY guitarist who compares to how good Peter Green was before he fried his brains out with drugs. But…he’s never gotten near the recognition he deserves because he happens to be SRV’s brother and played most of his career next to one of the best blues vocalists ever in Kim Wilson.

Such a great band. And such a shame Keith couldn't keep it together to enjoy their big run in the mid-late 80's. A couple of radio-friendly, pop-oriented songs that helped facilitate that big run? Sure, but all things considered, they compromised nothing at the height of their popularity.
I agree about Keith Ferguson! The greatest! But Preston had the look they needed to move forward, not to mention the upright bass abilities which were very hip at that time.
Oh man these guys were the coolest, relatively unknown band around. In this live version of Full-time Lover, Jimmie pulls all stops and kills it! An absolute legend amongst guitar gods who understand what he is all about. If you like Jimmie, check out Anson Funderburgh, he's got the same groove. Both of them leave me spellbound.
Man taste is a wild thing, I came by way of srv but this stuff is mesmerizing to me, it's like a distillation back to the source. Musics cool no two people hear it the same way
